As a long-standing client of EVC and I was extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience. I placed and paid for an order for replacement glasses, which was shipped to an incorrect address and subsequently lost due to negligence on the support staff teams end.. I attempted to contact EVC repeatedly and did not receive any response until I called approximately six times over a eight-week period. When I finally reached an associate, I was told the package had already been shipped and that there was "nothing they could do / out of their hands" despite the error and the fact that I never received the replacement glasses I paid for. The associate (Chelsea) was unprofessional and rude during the call and contradicted prior statements she had made to me regarding insurance policy and coverage. Due to the lack of accountability, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct, I will not be returning as a client & recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more

Unqualified, unprofessional, incompetent and rude employees. Price gouging business. Surprising any insurance takes them. Very upsetting. Because of time constraints went to Glen Carbon Walmart. The difference was night and day. Wonderful experience. Count your blessings if you get the opportunity to go elsewhere. read more

My husband was there yesterday and they build him through his medical insurance instead of his vision insurance I called today to correct it. Chelsea was horrible in the way that she spoke tome and was not at all helpful because it was a visiting . I have been a customer for decades with four people in my family, but will be going by tomorrow to pick up everyone's records. I strongly recommend not going there. read more

The doctor is very nice he is really good helpful with my husband , who's been a stroke specialist, but the staff are really impolite and rude!!!!! ( They're laughing at the front of me because my English is so poor ) definitely don't choose to be there!!! read more

I wish i would have read these reviews before I wasted my time there... Office staff is in disarray and not run well. I ordered glasses, it took two weeks for lenses which is fine, then they turned out to either be the wrong proscription or defective horrible work. I then was retested, and had an adjusted prescription ordered. They Dr. specifically asked the assistant (had zero experience) to order my prescription a certain way and then some guy walked over to show her how to do it correctly only to override what the Dr. asked her to do. I showed up two weeks later and the wrong lenses were delivered once again. This time i stormed out, left the glasses there and essentially told them they run a horrible business and good luck! I Charged the order back with my credit card company and I just sent my insurance company an email about reversing the charges they submitted. Also to note, they will bill you for everything under the sun. I looked at what they billed me and it was for stuff that was never ordered or received. If after you read this review you go there, thats on you, as you have been warned.... my initials are RV for that ass hat manager that will attempt to reply to this message to "make it right".... The doctor is good but the business is not run well. They won't tell you this, but the billing office number is 877-551-2455. Call that number about your bill because the office manager does not know enough about how insurance works and does not follow up on your billing issues. I was overcharged by nearly $120 three months ago and had to get my insurance company to call them and explain how the bill was processed and prove that I was overcharged. Also they never notified me my contacts were in. I waited 11 weeks without being contacted. The office manager claimed I was called a week after my visit, but I checked my phone records and found no evidence of that. read more

I definitely wish I had read the reviews before using their services. Avoid this place!! The optometrist was professional and polite and didn't try to push retail items upon me. I told her that I would be ordering glasses on line. However, when I tried to order on line, I noticed that my pupillary distance was not included on the prescription. I thought it must have been an oversight. I called and spoke to the manager and he told me for the first time that they will only include PD if you order glasses on line FROM THEM. I was never told by anyone and there was nothing in writing to this affect. He argued with me in the most patronizing manner and refused my request to measure my PD at no cost or give me a refund. He was abrupt, condescending and snarky. Very unprofessional. I should have left when the staff, including the manager, was openly arguing about air fresheners while I waited for my appointment. read more

The Saturday office hours begin at 8:00...my appointment was at 8:20 and by 9:00 we still were not seen by the doctor. How can this happen and without an explanation or excuse. We have waited before at this office however this was extreme. By 9:00 there was still one person ahead to be seen. I would not recommend this place. read more

Correction....... I recently went to clarckson eye care and spent over 1 1000 dollars on glasses and contacts and was approoved befoe i ever entered the store. And was given an appointment the very next day i called....again i paid in cash...... I have been using optometrists for over 40 years and have never had a problem like i had at edwardsville vision center.....and still havnt been contacted by its owner.. What a shame.....thier loss..... read more

Every time I come I usually have a very long wait. I sat here with my 5 year old last year for 2 hours. This year I was told to come 15 minutes early to fill out paper work and they did not open the doors to the building for another 20 minutes. I arrived at 8:45 and I saw the doctor at 9:45. Their computer system is a little slow and outdated, but they do have the equipment to give a comprehensive eye exam. My suggestion is to get your eye exam there and then take the paperwork and purchase your glasses from somewhere else. Their glasses are very pricey. read more
