Came here last minute in December because of my free eye exam for the year was going waste. They had a free time spot for me that day when I called. I had interactions with 4 different people that day all 4 four were great! Help at home and treated me as family not just another customer. First person was the receptionist, young girl with glasses, helped me fill out forms and answered questions about my insurance coverage. Second person was the lady in the back that blew air into my eyes. Third person was the eye doctor, talked story and made me feel at ease when doing the whole " 1 or 2" exam. And last person I had during the experience was the lady with her side computer that informed me of all my different payment options, and covered in great details about the glasses and work safety glasses my insurance covered, End of the day this is the only place I will be going for all my eye needs. read more

My father and I were new to this location. It's a nice, busy Office located first level in the Mary Savio Medical Plaza in Aiea. The staff are very efficient and helpful. Dr Endo is very professional during his consultation and evaluation. Dr Endo and his Associates and Staff are very friendly and helpful. I been coming here to get glasses for awhile. The waiting area is nice and cozy with a tv. I came here for my annual eye exam and I saw Dr Au. He is an Awesome Optomologist and does a thourough examination of my eye. He and his staff uses Top of grade Equipment for eye exams. I was amazed that it only took 30 minutes here to dilate my eyes and Dr. Au explains everything after all the tests were done. I got a prescription for glasses and then I picked out some glasses to try on. Lots of choices to choose from and I picked out a nice pair of glasses. The staff was very helpful and nice and helped me with my glasses fitting. They will call me when it's ready for me to pick up my glasses. Friendly and helpful staff assisted me with my appointment and exams. I even made an appointment for my husband to get an eye exam from here. My two daughters come here also to see Dr. Endo them. Started going to Doctor Endo since the age of 16. I'm in my 40's now and have never thought of finding another doctor to provide me with treatment exclusively. Yes, I have visited other offices due to wanting to see what's out there but I have always come back. Dr. Endo is very smart and we have a lot of engaging conversations about lots of different things. His staff is also efficient, helpful, friendly, and polite. I am staying. This time for good. Btw, his office is a mini museum! There are so many interesting items and curiosities that will engage your interest. He also has a second waiting room with massage chairs. Dr. Endo is such a caring doctor. He always makes suggestions for eye care during appointments. Always offers samples. I'm in and out in a timely manner. Although his receptionist is VERY RUDE, I still give this office five stars because of EVERYONE else's service.. The lady that helps you when choosing glasses is very sweet. The other staff are very sweet as well.. The location is right by the west and east bound freeways so it's super convenient. I had a problem with his employee and brought it to his attention. UPDATE: Got my husbands glasses didn't take long and boom second Time here the receptionist isn't the friendliest helpful person ever and was very round about answering my question and helping me. First time I checked in here I got a coupon for free contact kit or 20 percent off glasses according to the receptionist he can't get it he wasn't fitted for it HE NEEDED TO BE FITTED FOR IT HIS FIRST VISIT. Like wtf.. where does it state that in the coupon? So I guess according to her I should discard it. Sad regardless of this she wasn't friendliest receptionist and has a low key attitude. Doubt we will be back. Which sucks... I saw Dr Yuen for my annual eye exam. I have healthy eyes but just had some vision changes. I opted to buy glasses through them. They have such a good selection of frames and a guy by the name of Alan helped me. He was very knowledgeable, and so patient as i wanted to try them all on. Lol. He helped me and gave me suggestions on which lenses i should get. All in all i was very happy with my appointment. I highly recommend them. read more

The only reason why i don't give all 5 stars, it is because I made an appointment and I was seen by the doctor 30 minutes later. If each patient is seen based on an appointment, I expect myself to see on time. And if there is a potential extra time needed by patient (per appointment) there should be a gap reserved to the extra attention. Overall, the experience I have with the staff and doctor is pleasant. My eye was pretty swollen and red and felt tender after having a stye. I saw good reviews on Yelp so I decided to call them. I called the office to see if someone could look at it. They were able to take me in today, and after waiting for a little, not too long (I assumed so as I came in the same day as I called), Leslie initially examined me. She was very friendly and easy to explain what was going on. Also, Dr. Cho also came in to verify what she saw. They prescribed antibiotics and a topical, and want to see me again in a few days to see how it does. They took all of the insurance that I have (UHC & VSP) and they validated my parking. Knowing the building (Newtown Square), even though the office validates, you still have to pay $1.50. Not the office fault. Overall, I like had a positive experience and will come back to have my next eye exam here after my eye gets better. Thank you! read more

Had my first visit here today. I usually go to my usual eye doctor all the way in Kalihi but seen great reviews for this place which happens to be closer to where I live since I moved so I wanted to give it a try. First off, I'm giving this place at least two stars because the receptionists were sweet and friendly. It is cluttered but I let that go because I was here for my eyes, not to inspect how clean their office is. To make things clear, I went in to get new glasses since I had lost my last pair and I'm starting another college semester in August. I'm near sided so the glasses are obviously so I can see far. It's not a heavy prescription but it definitely helps me in class during lectures as well as driving or even at work which is why I need my glasses. It's a little but it goes a long way for me. Anyways, I had a younger Asian male doctor help me. I can't even give you his name because he did not even introduce himself but it was not Dr. Endo. He didn't ask how my day was or anything he just wasn't friendly AT ALL. I had the impression that he either hates his job or I was an issue....So this doctor took me to the room to consult with me and do more tests, he really made me feel unwelcome as if I was wasting his time. I had put down that I do get headaches and he had brought up that I work full time and go to school so in his words he said "maybe that's why you're having headaches" in a sassy/wise way. And you can just hear him making little sighs under his breath like it was so hard for him to help me. I tried to make small talk and he was just very kept to himself & standoffish. For a doctor that surprised me. I felt so out of place and I feel like I actually made a mistake coming here so I'd much rather make that drive to my other eye doctor in Kalihi. I did get to order my glasses from here but perhaps once I get my glasses I think that will be my last visit. It's such a shame that I was hoping for such a good experience since I seen such good reviews but this was not the case. That doctor should learn to have more people skills considering he works with many patients throughout the day. I'm not sure if it was just me but I definitely can say that I was not welcomed or satisfied with my visit. My overall experience with this establishment was not great. My initial exam took almost three hours and I held back writing a review because this was my first time coming here. With that being said, I am beyond frustrated. The claim process for my exam has been a nightmare. I have dual medical and my father in-law received an insurance claim for my eye exam which is incorrect. I have provided all the requested information for both my insurance providers before my eye exam. When I called to have this issue corrected this is where the nightmare started. Instead of double checking my husband's full name, date of birth and SSN (information that has been previously provided) a claim was filed on my father in-law's insurance because my husband's first name was overlooked. The staff insisted the address on the back of my insurance is required. Aetna does not provide insurance cards. This is the first time I've came across this issue. I've never had problems using my dual insurances at other establishments. read more

The office is so cluttered, it seems there are 4 receptionists in this cramped office. So unprofessional. I will not come back. And i still havent gotten a call back for my contacts, its been 2 months. :( The staff didn't explain that I would be dilated, to check the back of my eyes to check for anomalies. If they did, I would have told them I had this test done already by a specialist. Unprofessional, I should of asked, I wish they would explain before they did it. Also, when paying the receptionist, she didn't give me a receipt. So unprofessional! Do not go to the pearl city office! It seems they just like they didnt want to be there. read more

Dr. Endo's office is located in Newtown Square. Parking is paid, but you can get your ticket validated by the office staff. No problem. Interior of the office is retro-looking, but that's OK. The vastly more important part is the service, which is good, no complaints from me. For my eye exam, I saw one of Dr. Endo's associates/colleagues, Dr. Kuba who was nice, pleasant, professional, and helpful. She suggested a brand/type of contact lens that's more breathable, extending the length of wear during the day. She had me test a pair for a week to see how the new-to-me brand/type works for me. Great suggestion - this new brand/type works much better than my previous one! The real test is when I'm flying down the hill on my bicycle and checking to see if my contact lenses totally dry out and fall out (not good!). Another positive: he and his staff hooked me up with a rebate for the contact lenses, cutting down on my part of payment. They also hooked me up with a freebie pair of contact lenses. Thank you! Side story: Last year, before I had a car, I chose the closest eye doctor covered by my insurance (read: somewhere bikeable from my home). But the doctor was exam only, no insurance-covered dispensary for contact lenses and eyeglasses, so I paid for those out of pocket. This year I got smarter with my car and my money and chose Dr. Endo. I plan to stick with him and his associates/staff for years to come! read more

This guy always gives me the low down on deals...every...time. I walk out of there with sample eye solution, rebate slips, coupons...my yearly eye check up is worth the $50 because I get so many other discounts and savings. I used to go to his downtown location (right in front of Longs Drugs) but the Pearl City location is conveniently located close to home. His humor is something to get used to (he sometimes does magic tricks and just told me he's a descendant of Captain America-the guy is Asian) but all in all a great place to go for individualized care. read more

He is extremely knowledgeable in his field, very professional and will find discounts for you offered by the contact lens and eye glass companies. The costs are fair and service is excellent. They have a wide range of products to choose from with state of the art equipment. They are open on Saturdays which is always a plus! They accept VSP which is important to me! I plan to be a loyal client for a long, long time! The only downside is that I waiting over half hour to see the Doc. On the upside, he has two huge flat screen TVs to watch while you wait! read more
