We first met Pat and Michael on their wedding anniversary and they canceled their plans to take my mom in their lovely home the same day. They provided snacks and healthy home cooked meals, activities to help keep my mom and other residents engaged, and top notch care around the clock. Pat & Michael rented a van over Christmas and took my mom out to see the pretty lights. They celebrated her birthday with flowers, presents and decorated their house. During a hurricane warning, they invited my dad to come stay with them. My family and I were always welcome to visit and stay however long we wanted. They regularly sent us pictures and texts to let us know how my mom was doing, which was really sweet. Being in a private, loving home is so much more welcoming than a sterile facility. Towards the end of my moms life, Pat was feeding my mom every meal and trying to keep her as comfortable as possible. They treated my mom and family with kindness and respect, and we are forever grateful. I can't say enough great things about Pat's Serenity Home Care. It was this tenacity and level of support that made the difference and helped the seller to choose us! Both are always working to improve their knowledge base with seminars and conferences. They are VERY involved with the community they serve. They volunteer their time in the area and they live where they work so they know the area well. They offer excellent referrals for services of all kinds and we loved their recommendations! We explored down payment assistance programs available and they invested time to learn as much as they could to help us navigate that process and connected us with others in the mortgage industry to offer their expertise. They are down to earth, supportive, helpful, and encouraging. They made themselves available to tour homes within hours of being listed due to the seller's market we faced. They spent countless hours with us as we nitpicked details. They never made us feel like we were the annoyances I know we were! When we bought our forever home, they were so enthusiastic and supportive. We feel like we found friends in a process that is incredibly stressful and an emotional roller coaster. This company has been the biggest nightmare I have had to deal with. The 1st week i was supposed…read moreto have someone Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday no one showed up, Tuesday they sent someone who was not allowed to be near cigarette smoke and she left within 5 minutes of arriving. Wednesday was a no no show no call. Thursday they sent someone to my house who wouldn't even come in the house because I had dogs. I then had same person for awhile and they fired her. After that it was a string of new people. The last aide I had here filled my pill box for me and then I discovered she stole xanax. It took 2 weeks of my bp spiking and not sleeping some nights till i checked the pill box and the xanax was only med missing and I discovered she took like every other nights xanax. Not one of my other meds were wrong in the box. Now because of this company I have to deal with police and adult protective services. Sabastion lied to me multiple times. Now I am in process of getting private aide because I am afraid to deal with any agency now.

I never once got a call, letter. condolences or text in the 7 weeks of my husband passing away in my arms at the Zephyrhills location. It was devastating. The staff seemed kind but honestly I think he was overdosed on morphine there based on what I witnessed. One morning I arrived to discover he was laying in a pool of urine, unbathed and ungroomed. His jewelry was stolen off of his body before the coroner arrived and was instructed to get it for me. (Except for his wedding band that I took upon pronounced) For the record my husband had no narcotics when he went in and within 4 days they were giving him liquid morphine hourly. This turned out to be more deadly than the disease we were fighting. Legal euthanasia? It sure looks like it....

Our mother has been in the hospital and due to quality of care issues we also had a Right At Home person staying with her when we could not be there. Through a series of events, we are still trying to understand, my mother's blood sugar dropped to 10. She started to have a seizure and went unconscious. Deidre from Right At Home sprang into action and got help right away. The Rapid Response Team came in and stabilized mom. She literally saved her life as NONE of the telemetry alerted the nursing station that something was happening with mom.

I have severe concerns about the Right at Home franchise in New Port Richey FL branch. They have…read morebeen sending Home Health Aids and Care Companions to care for our 80 year old mother that is living with late stage dementia and her care needs exceed the caregivers abilities as defined by the State of Florida. We have severe concerns, but the process in resolving the issues is very slow as we are long distance caregivers, and our Mom's second husband filed for guardianship and was denied, however the State of Florida did appoint a Guardian temporarily and she seems to have great influence over Right at Home to the detriment of our Mom's safety and well being. We believe Right at Home needs to separate themselves from the direction of the Guardian and Mom's husband. They have a legal obligation to follow the laws regarding in-home care services and ensuring the caregivers they send out to provide 24 hour in-home care meet the minimum standards as defined by Florida Law. I do want to say that the caregivers three caregivers I have meet from Right at Home are very nice people, but they do recognize they are crossing boundaries in providing care they are not qualified to provide based on their status as companions and Home Health Aids. Right at Home is putting these ladies in jeopardy on many levels as well as putting our Mom at extreme injury to herself and possibly even premature death.
