I finally decided to take the plunge for my son's Bar Mitzvah. After all, if I was t going to get lashes for this special event, when would I? I did my research on Yelp and had pretty much decided on where I was going....until I noticed Robyn Berman Beauty. I have to admit what intrigued me (besides the five star reviews) was the Yelp $89 for $220 deal. Although I did pay an extra $30 for a full set of lashes, I have to say the deal was worth it, and still less expensive than many other places. Robin works out of her house but is a complete professional. She thoroughly explains the process, which can take about two hours! Robyn will let you get up for breaks if you feel uncomfortable. Most of the time I felt relaxed and sleepy throughout the process. The result was long, luscious, but still pretty natural looking lashes. I was thrilled with them. Robyn is truly an artist! I tried the lashes a few weeks before the Bar Mitzvah to make sure they "worked" and I didn't get any bad reactions. I then got one fill just prior to the event. I don't think I will continue regularly due to the time involved and cost, however I would do it again for a special event.

I was also having trouble because a lot of artists have a minimum requirement to book, and here I was, a bride without bridesmaids. But then, my mother-in-law found Jen at The Hair and Makeup Bar and she was just such a godsend! Not only is her price point fair but she is amazing at what she does and she is so kind and accommodating. My mother-in-law and some other family members decided to get their hair and makeup done as well and Jen offered to go to their hotel first on the day of the wedding and then to my Airbnb to do my hair and makeup. This helped eliminate the stress of driving on the day of my wedding.
