My friends and I love Eggcited. We used to go to the Tasty Biscuit but they have gone downhill and we will drive to go to this place. Eggcited is such a warm and friendly place. Wendy the new manage is so wonderful and Kristen who has been the hostess is like a staple and we love her. The food is large portions and my girlfriends and I will enjoy our meal and have leftovers for dinner. Our server Teri suggested some new great options for us Golden girls and it was the Omelette special today. What a fantastic special!! You need to add that all the time. New Ownership/Management - I had been dining at this restaurant for over 10 years under previous ownership and the food and the staff were just amazing. I didn't mind paying a little extra to have a top graded food product, but this new ownership has chosen to purchase lower grade food products from his suppliers to be prepared in their kitchen to be served to the public than the previous ownership. You can tell but not only the taste, but also having been confirmed by previous staff that used to work there. The real crime in all this is that they're still charging even higher prices for less quality food products. read more

Wowzers! This place is HUGE. The decor alone is enough to get one EggCited before a meal. As a side note when traveling westbound on Hassert Blvd. towards Rt 59 there is a hidden entrance way on the south side of street allowing access inside the EggCited plaza. Let's call it the secret James Bond entrance :) Upon entering the building there was a lovely host that will greet you and accompany you to your booth or table. Within a few seconds my server Yesenia introduced herself as she grabbed my drink order. She returned with a pretty tasty cup of coffee freshly brewed. I was set on ordering breakfast before I even entered the building. I just wasn't sure what to order.They have so many options from pancakes, omelettes, french toast, crepes and the list goes on. So I literally closed my eyes took a moment and pointed. When I opened my eyes my finger landed on the "Popeye's Skillet". Great choice!!!! Served with crispy bacon, spinach and mushrooms. We got a winner!! As soon as I cut into my skillet a nice cloud of steam rose up from the plate as if the angular momentum of Earth was working alongside my meal. I would go on record saying the Popeye's Skillet was on point and the hashbrowns on the bottom absolutely fresh. In conclusion friendly staff, quick refills and comfy cushion booths. Anyyyyytime I need a good breakfast, I come to this spot! For my long time Napervill-ians, as you know an amazing restaurant named Gigi's tragically burned down here. It took absolutely forever for a new spot to open up so when one did I was sooo skeptical. Gigis had amazing food and prices could this new spot match up?! Glad to tell you.. it did! It is my favorite brunch spot by far! It's also 3 min from my house but I would still travel for this place ;). I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 10 minutes even when it's been really busy. Also, the food is always brought out so fast! Like unbelievably fast. Again, no matter the crowd! The portions are just enough and usually always have some to take home! My go-to meal is the one egg with turkey sausage. You get a side of hashbrowns and pancakes with it as well all for like $8! Can't beat it! Waiters are friendly and the atmosphere is that of any local brunch spot. However it feels nice and quaint. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

Been here few times in last 6 months. I always came for breakfast only and never had chance to try their lunch. The food is consistently of good quality. Special shout out to their biscuits and gravy which not many places get right. They make decent crepes and pancakes too. Problem is with their service , specially in last 3 months. I have noticed if I came with big group the wait staff is little more attentive as it means bigger tip. But if it's just one or two people you are treated like undesirables . People at front desk never smile - either when you arrive or leave. Then wait staff will rarely bother to get you refills or show up at all . Honestly this place reminded me of IHOP from the layout of the restaurant to the menu to the kids coloring pages. Nonetheless it's still a great family friendly breakfast/brunch spot! The items on the menu are the standard items you'd find anywhere (omelets, skillets, waffles, pancakes, French toast) and the prices are comparable to those at IHOP. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful (and didn't seem annoyed when my cousin asked her for a white crayon haha). We ordered the vegetable skillet, berry pancakes and French toast. The pancakes and toast were good but nothing too special. The veggie skillet was great though! EggCited is mainly a breakfast and brunch spot located in the far south west end of Naperville. The location is very clean and open. Come early if you want to avoid a long wait especially on the weekends. The menu is fairly extensive with your standard breakfast fair. I asked the server what she recommended and she suggested checking out one of the skillets. I decided to go with the waffle combo which is pretty standard for any breakfast spot. The one thing I did notice is the offerings are pretty basic and similar to what you would find at any Greek diner. Overall the food was good. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the waffle and bacon were crisp. Service was good but it wasn't too busy when I was there. Overall a solid spot for your standard breakfast fare. Made it a point to make a yelp account just to leave a review. Ate here March 29th around 10am. We had a group of five, none of the orders were mixed up and the food came out quickly. HOWEVER, we were given the tab which was fine but as we were checking out our server Dina changed out the receipt at the register to add automatic gratuity. We left cash on the table for a reason in an amount that was on par with the service. After they refused to give back the original receipt without the automatic gratuity we took our tip back. Places should not be adding automatic gratuity for sub par service. Be careful when dining as a group here. Hind sight I wish we wouldn't have given this place business. read more

We frequent this restaurant often. The customer service is impeccable! They serve you fast regardless the size of your party. And the food is quality stuff!!! We love chatting with the staff. Even when you show up with small kids that make a mess and are screaming and banging the tables and you tell them its ok because it's the staffs job to clean up after them....... yeah lady, you know who you are.... It would be nice if you would update your Uber Eats items descriptions. For the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which I ordered, there was no description of mushrooms being on there and when I received my order there was an outrageous amount of mushrooms in the plate. While waiting for an appointment in Naperville I though lets find somewhere to eat some breakfast. I used my phone app "Around Me" and this place popped up, so I thought ok lets give it a try. You all have been to this place hundreds of times, it is a cookie cutter design of every greek owned breakfast restaurant/diner you have ever been too. The menu has the same items like all the rest breakfast sandwiches and burgers and some other dinner options but mainly this is a breakfast spot. I ordered the meat lovers skillet that came with pancakes, it did not taste bad very very salty. The pancakes were very good maybe a little undercooked from my liking and very doughy. Service was very slow I sat at my table for 15 minutes sucking on ice cubes. I desperately needed water for the salty skillet and the very gummy pancakes.. Prices we're not the cheapest I paid about $16 for a skillet that came with pancakes. Just a very average mediocre experience. Nothing really for me ever to make a trip over to this place. But that's just my opinion will check it out for yourself. read more

Ok so I guess I'm extremely spoiled when it comes to breakfast places. I used to go to this same spot back before it blew up/caught on fire and closed. I couldn't complain about the food/service/prices back then. Fast forward to present day and the Eggcited Restaurant...the interior is nicely appointed and spacious but that's about all I can say that's positive about this place. I've now eaten there roughly 10-15 times so I'm leaving this review from a well experienced vantage point where I can be honest from my experiences. The food is simply "meh" or OK. There's nothing that knocks your socks off. Food quality and consistency is average; everything from Omelettes to Eggs, Sandwiches to sides nothing truly stands out in taste. The service is definitely where this place really needs to improve. Waitresses are slow and overworked from what I can see, many times bussing their own tables while you sit and wait for your coffee to be topped off or water refilled. On most mornings, they may have one busboy working. When I ask for simple things, like syrup or an extra set of silverware, my requests are normally met with a slight hint of annoyance. Price-wise for what you get is say it's fair. It's sad that there's no real standout breakfast place in the South Naperville/North Plainfield area that really knocks my socks off. That only means these places could corner the market if they stepped up their game(s) with better service, larger portion sizes, etc. read more
