He literally makes the experience feel like "our place.' We ask for him when we walk in. The kids warmed right up to him. I grew up in a small town with a couple diners. I remember the inviting warmth of those places, very nostalgic. I get that with Honey Berry. Gonzalo has that welcoming, warm presence. He is the cherry on top to the great food there.

My mom had hash browns, eggs, sausage and pancakes. She didn't care for her food much either. My sister had the corned beef hash, eggs, hash browns, and toast. She loved the corned beef hash and thought everything else was okay. Ultimately, she agreed that we should have gone elsewhere. The restaurant was clean and quiet except for the noise from the television. The bill was about $50 for the three of us. The quality of the food is obviously lower tier. IHOP would've been a better choice and that's not even a place I'd ever even consider visiting.

Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. Even with the generous portions, everything was gone quickly because everyone loved it. Sharif truly went above and beyond with both the quantity and service. Next time, I'll definitely plan to order even more because it was such a hit. I do kind of wish that I had looked over the food menu though because some of the last plates I saw being served for the night looked pretty good. Both the server and our friend did a great job of checking in throughout the night with our party and the others. This was the same night as the Pride Celebration in Aurora that was literally just outside on Stolp Ave but it wasn't very busy for a while but a good amount of people trickled in for a nightcap after the show at the Paramount let out. The 2 drinks I had were really good. The first one was the featured cocktail: Naughty Nellie's Nectar which was a great Tiki-esque drink with spiced rum and bitters mixed with various fruit juices including passion fruit, guava, pineapple, and lime. It was right up my alley so I was a little sad when I went for a second one and the bartender said that they had run out of some of the ingredients but that he would make me the other drink on the menu that's similar, the Twilight Tixi. I liked that one a lot too. What really made the night great though was the chill and relaxing ambiance of the space. The nice lighting gave the mood of a mix between lounge, restaurant and bar. The service was friendly and I did notate how incredible the music was, but unfortunately we came here for the food and the food fell short. I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon.

I LOVE the Plano location though I never had dinner there. Went for dinner in aurora (1st visit) got the chicken melt sandwich. The chicken and bacon were not cooked fresh and as you can see the bread of my so called melt was barely warmed. Idk who they have cooking here but it is OBVIOUS they don't care about quality and have NO IDEA what they are doing. I can't IMAGINE how bad the more complex items on the menu would taste. If they don't learn the lessons that goodys ignored, this place won't be here long. Our meal was horrible. It's basically a grilled cheese with chicken and bacon, how hard could it be? read more
