The only concern was that the anda lava pulav had quite a bit of oil and cheese, which made it a little heavy for my stomach. Weekend afternoon, we decided to visit this place was a busy one. There were a couple of big groups and hence some noise too. The place is pretty nice and bright though. This was our first visit to this place. The ambiance is cute and cozy. I loved the funny slogans with a twist displayed on the wall. The server explained the variety of dishes and recommended a few. We ordered: - Hum-Tum: 3/5 - This one contains egg. My husband loved the taste; however, he mentioned that it was too oily and contained too much salt and chili. The combination of all three was bad, greasy and uneasy to digest. - Lava Paneer Pulav: 1/5 - I knew this was supposed to be spicy, but the oil and spices were too much. I was scared to have more and get a bad stomach. I hardly had a few spoons and decided to trash it (didn't even box it to take home). - Corn Masala Sandwich: 3.5/5 - The only decent one compared to the rest of the items we ordered. Tried Eggholic on a weekday evening. We got there on their $12 egg dish Wednesday, so even on a weekday there was a wait to place the order. Service and Ambiance : Staff was helpful and patient with questions. They have enough seating options. Menu: good variety with veg, egg, and chicken options. Food: * Hum Tum (the most rated dish): didn't work for me. It came across salty and had a strong eggy taste that felt overpowering. * Methi Matar Malai: easily the best thing we ordered. Creamy, flavorful, and I'd come back for this alone. * Green boiled egg: I liked it, but the eggs were very cold (almost fridge-cold). Not sure if that's intended, but taste-wise it was still good. * Mango Mastani: a sweet ending and exactly what I wanted. Vanilla + mango combo was a flavor bomb. Tried out the place on Sunday. It was pretty deserted but lots of DoorDash orders. Actually liked it ambience and furniture. Ordered Chicken masala sandwich, which was absolutely delicious and grilled to perfection. Their chicken wrap is a little dry but still tasty. It's actually the closest to the chicken Frankie that we get in Mumbai. It's only supposed to have egg layer inside the paratha with tangy chicken and seasoned onions- which was great! Other places try to sell Frankie and add lettuce, tomatoes- nope, that's not Frankie Also ordered egg paplet with green sauce on top- delicious! The rose falooda was well made too. I always get nervous writing a review for a restaurant I love in the Bay Area because invariably, the fame makes them greedy and their food and service start declining in the pursuit of profits. We have been here a dozen times in the past few months and so far, I've had a foodgasm every time! My only gripe is that their spice levels are not consistent - we had a mini emergency once when we fed a 'mild' paneer curry to a heat challenged friend who almost exploded - so always triple specify the spice level when you place you order! read more

First time I tried Eggholic was in Canada. Been waiting for one to open in California. Just stopped by today and the food was amazing! We got the Cheese Katori and the Green boiled fry as appetizers and for main plates we opted for the Green Egg Rice and one egg curry which were fantastic! (We also ordered spicy level along with Indian Spice and food was super tasteful and overall spice level was just perfect - I tend to always get mild spice while my husband loves super spicy) Service was speedy and very professional. We decided to try this place on a Sunday . It was not busy, ordered food to go . We were told to wait 15 mins . Ended up waiting 35 mins . When asked why it's taking so long , one of the cook was horribly rude and said to wait some more . When we finally got the order , we were in a hurry to head back home . We were excited to try this place out since it is right in our neighborhood. Went on a Monday afternoon so the place was deserted. Ordered Hum Tum ( with roti ) and Toofani curry ( with rice ). Person at the counter agreed to swap the bread (3x) /roti (2x) with a side of rice instead. We were happy about that. We also got mango mastani for dessert but more on that later. Food tasted good overall. We liked Hum Tum the best. Roti's were really thin and had a weird reheated / thawed and toasted quality to it. Not freshly made. We were disappointed by the amount of rice that was given a side. When we asked the waiter- he just shrugged it off as policy. The service was tardy. He came out to give out our dishes one by one but didn't come to check if we needed anything else ( like to go boxes) . This is ok since it is more of an order at the counter type situation. Food was however brought to the table. They have a decently stylized interior with clean and on trend furniture but only serve in disposable plates. The good part is that the disposable was eco friendly for the most part. We also did not enjoy the dessert- very fake in taste with some weird green sauce . I would skip it. The egg varieties are amazing! Even the paneer was great! I wish they start putting a little less oil/ butter which makes the food really heavy. Other than that the food tastes amazing.
