This used to be our weekend family hangout. Family breakfast before we headed to church. But WOW since COVID how things have changed. We slowly started coming back once doors were opened but quickly noticed a change in morel. We came yesterday and what chaos. I've noticed what attracted us here was not just the food but the friendly attentive service. Both kitchen and staff worked as a well oiled machine as my dad would tell the server. We would watch as everyone worked together through the high peak times but that is not the story anymore. The new manager could be heard barking at the kitchen and servers running back and forth but nothing getting accomplished. Our order was wrong our server did correct it but when we heard the manager even though it was her error she demeaned the staff, we won't be visiting any longer. She's come to our table before and made sure to let us know she's one of the owners but she doesn't seem to really do much else- during this time we are trying to support small businesses but I also want to make sure the money I do spend goes to a business who treats their employees well. I hope those employees that are mistreated read this and know you deserve better. read more

We love Eqqsquisite Cafe! We come here often for Sunday brunch and always have wonderful service and food. My favorite are the Eqqsquisite Skillet and Gluten-Free Pancakes and my partner loves the various types of Eggs Benedict. First time here and this just became my new go to breakfast spot. My son and I both had breakfast skillets. They were both huge and filled with a ton of sausage. Just moved to the area from Northern VA....this will be our new go-to breakfast spot! The service was excellent, Summer was a doll...friendly, fast, and attentive. My husband and I split the country fried steak that came with hash browns, eggs, and pancakes. Serving sizes were generous and tasty! Coffee was delish...nice and hot and always topped off! The atmosphere was very clean and fresh...not what you'd expect from the exterior of the building. This place is like Denny's, it's cheaper mass produced quality food for higher prices. It doesn't deserve more than a 3. Everything was blah and the quality of ingredients ruined the experience. First of all, this place is decorated extremely well. It looks very clean and inviting when you make your way inside. The atmosphere is spacious and inviting. Second of all, everyone was very friendly and caring. Our waitress, Elivs (best waitress ever), was efficient and got us everything we needed when we needed it. AND THE FOOD!!! I got the biscuit and gravy omelette with pancakes and cheesy grits, and it was PHENOMENAL. All the food was priced very well too!! unlike some other brunch places that hurt your wallet when you walk out. This place is above and beyond, it is going to do SUPER well and continue to get fabulous reviews no doubt. I cannot WAIT to go back and get that omelette again. Everything was perfect! read more

This place was fantastic.... we didn't have a car as we were visiting family so we were needing something close to our hotel and this was the only thing other than IHOP, so we gave it a try. Food was fantastic - I got the berry crepes and my husband got the biscuit stuffed omelette (yes, you read that correctly) with sausage gravy on top. Beth, our waitress, was absolutely fantastic. What really blew me away, and maybe this is a Texas thing, but Beth came over with to-go cups for my iced coffee and a refill of hot coffee for my husband. Something so little, but I had never experienced this anywhere else. Inside was very clean and "hip" looking if that makes sense for a breakfast place. I'd go back in a heartbeat and wish we lived 1,700 miles closer. read more

Food was delicious, lot of options in the menu to select from, space was clean, staff was courteous, price was reasonable, met all 5 of my criteria, so giving it a 5 star rating! I know pancakes are pretty much the same everywhere, but not here (and I'm not a pancake fan generally). They're fluffier and sweeter - no syrup needed. The eggs are cooked beautifully. I live in McKinney and it was my first time trying this place. Everything was great with exception to the pancakes. It was actually a side to my breakfast. I heard good things about the biscuit and gravy omelet so I came specifically for that and it did not disappoint! However when I tried a bite of the pancakes my happiness took a deep nose dive. If you are a pancake lover I would steer clear and just go somewhere else. Unless you prefer a very dense and chewy pancake that is hard to get your fork through. A better bet would be IHOB...oops I mean IHOP! read more

This place is wonderful! We got there and it was packed with people waiting. We turned around to leave and the owner came out and encouraged us to stay. After waiting only 15 minutes we got a table and the service was perfect. It seemed like there was enough staff that every table had their own waitperson. Our food was excellent and cooked perfectly. The menu has something for everyone; crepes to "old school" biscuits and gravy. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. McKinney needed a new place for breakfast and this addition is perfection. read more

Food was OK but not as good in my opinion as its competitors like Starwood and Sunview in Allen. I got the Santa Fe skillet and got sick from it later that night. The acoustics are terrible, very loud with talking, clanging dishes, etc., It was uncomfortably loud to the point that I will eat elsewhere. read more

this is the new place in town, and we really needed a new breakfast place. I love the people there, every server is great to chat with, they are friendly and welcoming. the food? not so great. Pancakes are cold when they arrive and have a crust to them. Sent them back twice before I some hot enough to melt butter and without the crust on them. Even though the food comes pretty quickly, it is not hot when it arrives. They are a new business, I hope they figure out the food part quickly, cuz the people working there are great! read more

This was my second visit. I want say this is a really good place to come visit! Family owned, friendly smiling faces and really good food!! The first time i had the French Toast and this time i had the Biscuit and Gravy omelette. I will be visiting this place again and again and again. The reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the system wont allow giving 4.75 stars. The bacon was almost raw the first time, so I though to myself, you know, the world is not perfect and everything else is really wonderful, so i let it be. This time I asked to have "crispy" bacon, and at least it was cooked this time but still a long way from crispy! What is on the picture is "crispy" and just how i would have liked my bacon to be. Now, as i said before, I WILL be back again and again and again...I just wont be getting the bacon. read more
