Now, there a lot of positives, because you can take your time and scroll through the selections. But for me, there's something about interacting with someone and asking for opinions. One of my favorite dessert spots in DFW that consistently delivers! Highly recommend getting the Matcha Chocolate Truffle with either matcha or pistachio ice cream. For all you who don't like matcha, JUST TRUST. I am not a fan of matcha either, but this item is the perfect balance of chocolate, whipped yoghurt and matcha. It also that doesn't let any ingredient overpower the other. Simply top tier. Fair warning, it can get pretty busy on the weekends. What we received was quite underwhelming, with sugar on top that tasted burnt which we removed because the texture and taste were not good (I get that this was to imitate a crème brûlée but it wasn't it). It's not a common flavor on the menu for crepes so if you want to venture out of your comfort zone, I highly recommend the lychee option. The lychee crepe is sour but also sweet at the same time. It's like the right combination of both tastes that it works really well. I love t-swirl so much! I can't wait until their Frisco location opens so that I can go more regularly. The menu is large and varied, plus it includes the calorie count (if you're into that sort of thing). The best part is most of the menu comes in two sizes: regular and mini. I tend to choose the mini because it's perfectly portioned and has a great balance of toppings. My favorite crepe fillings are the matcha chocolate truffle and the chicken teriyaki. It's a fun concept and affordable. My main complaints are that while they brag about the menu being celiac-friendly, they aren't doing those with a dairy intolerance/allergy much of a favor. Most of the sweet fillings include dairy such as the "matcha creme/ice cream", the yogurt, and more: you can definitely ask to not have that put in but it would be nice to know exactly what is and isn't dairy-free if they're trying to cater to diet restrictions. While they're not known for their drinks, I find it a problem that the only option available for lattes is whole milk. Not even skim or 2%. I typically get an iced or hot tea, but even those I find too sweet and end up watering them down. Most Asian restaurants/dessert shops accommodate with dairy-free options so this is a disappointment. Overall, the drinks are not enough to dissuade me, the crepes are the star and that's perfectly fine. But to me, doing a little bit more will pay for itself and really help. read more
