This is a good store to have walking distance to our Florida home and I use them as a fill a void shopping, as their prices seem higher than other local stores. Their deli area is very clean and the sandwiches they make are very good for boating trips, I have never been disappointed with the quality of their deli and selections. read more

Wow! Discovered this Publix almost by accident on the way back toward our condo. From the outside it appears to be tired and worn, needing a touch up with paint here and there. Inside is another story altogether. Beautifully, brightly lighted, wide, spacious aisles filled with everything imaginable (for a grocery store.) Large fresh fish display (no fishy smell). Large well-stocked meat department with "cut it the way you want it" staff. And in my opinion, the best of all... A marvelous deli with prepared foods - ready to eat or take & bake/reheat at home, plus fresh food (sandwiches and so much more) custom prepared as you wait. Reminds me of "Whole Foods and their normally stellar displays. This Publix store deserves multiple return visits. read more

The customer service counter and grocery store employees are always very friendly at this location. Lots of vegetarian frozen convenience foods. Pharmacy here is okay. Make sure you call in your refills ahead of time. They are not patient about doing same day. read more

Verdict: Good service and an underrated place to get a quality sandwich. The Jerk turkey with smoked gouda is a great combo. No need for the bacon. No bacon? Blasphemy, right? You're getting Boar's Head meats and cheeses so it's a pretty good quality. I liked the what rolls too, especially paired with a little honey mustard. Consistency is something you're giving up here so be specific in your order. If you want a little mayo or mustard, you'd better day so. Same with the toppings. Be specific about how much. The people are helpful and friendly. They'll be guessing at what you want so make it easy and good for both of you. They change the sub special each Wednesday. I learned that from the gentleman making my sub at the other Publix. That's right. I went to two different Publix on the same week for the same sandwich because the first one was so good. One thing that was consistent was that everyone at both locations were fantastic and personable. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. read more

Nice, but small Publix in Ft. Walton. We stopped by on our way to the beach to get some sandwiches. We used the Publix app and the subs were ready and waiting when we arrived. We were able to grab those and a few other items and be on our way. Checking out was fast. read more

Their Associates do their best at making sure you get the best customer service they're able to give, based on how busy it gets there. But I can only assume it gets so busy because when people come to visit, they go back to that store for their quality and friendly staff :) read more

This is my local Publix watch out for there mark downs they always ring up at full price. Example today steaks marked down to $7.99 a pound but rang up at full price. This deceptive practice happens so much at this location it I has to deliberate or gross negligence. read more

I cant think of one thing that I have gotten that I haven't enjoyed immensely. I've had the Carrot Cake, Calypso Crunch Cookies and white cake with a raspberry filling and butter cream frosting. mmmmmm. The breads are decent too. On another note, I bought a peach pie from Winn Dixie while I was pregnant and couldn't even finish it. Yucky. Never again. read more

I ordered online and when I got my sandwich the bread was definitely not white, brought it up there and they made me a new one and when the worker was about to wrap it I had to again remind them to put lettuce in my sandwich ( they were reading the tag on my old sandwich that was very easy to read)‍. Overall I think I prefer the publix on miracle strip a lot more. They make their subs the way I like and the people are more friendly and aware. read more

I really like this store because everything seems fresh and if they don't have something, they will try and get it for you. When I first came to town, I was looking for tahini and they had no idea what I was talking about. But since, their selections have grown with the times. I couldn't find Hansens juice boxes in the area and they started special ordering them for me:). I love their bakery and never buy bread off the shelf when I'm there. Last example is them having catfish. I went looking at all those fish shops but they never have catfish....Publix does. read more

First impression is WOW! place is very clean and well stocked! staff was very helpful and friendly and best of all they had the type of coffee i was looking for that isn't carried around in most grocery stores. This place has everything you need from Asian, Hispanic, produce and even common household items. Beer and Wine selection was plenty but could use more. Most definitely not my favorite publix in fort Walton beach. Yes they are clean and helpful but you can't find things and they switch it up on you like the green wise section with all the awesome organic stuff. It's now gone and I have to walk all over the store to find everything. Also, their bakery workers are rude.. They never have rotisserie chicken available and the publix across towns sushi is 100 times better.... Upsetting read more

Great supermarket. They have everything I need, and the buy one get one specials are awesome. The one thing that really sets them apart from other stores is that they're very conscious of people waiting in line to check out - I've never had to wait long, and it seems like they usually open additional aisles if there are more then 2 or 3 people stacked in each lane. I also ordered a cake from the bakery once - the process was easy, and it when it came it was delicious. read more

While the store itself is OK, the deli is abysmal. The people in the deli must stand around all day and do little or nothing. Every time I visit this store in the evening, they are completely UNPREPARED. Meats for subs are not cut, Hot foods are non-existent. Every other Publix makes buffalo chicken tenders. This one refuses. When I ask about it, I was told to "go get a bottle of buffalo wing sauce.. it's the same thing we use." I went in this evening, and there was no rotisserie chicken ready, even though the ones in the oven were overcooked almost black! I asked for a roast beef sub and there was no lunch meat cut for subs. They had the nerve to ask me to wait TEN MINUTES while they cut lunch meat. It should have been cut already! If you want to be treated like you're nothing by a staff that could care less, sure, come here! If you think you're worth a little more than that, I suggest you go elsewhere. You won't find any kind of customer service here! Update: I ordered a sub online, hoping to not have to stand and wait for 10 minutes waiting for them to cut lunchmeat. Nope. Even after specifically stating in the order "DO NOT TOAST," my sub was toasted and the bread was rock hard because it was over cooked , like everything else in the deli. Cashier Bob denied my State Identification card for the purchase of alcohol. The same Identification card I use to get into Eglin Air Force Base everyday for work. On top of the horrible service and attitude the prices were okay. Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe he's just an asshole everyday but I definitely wouldn't recommend shopping here. read more

I have been going to Publix for 25 years and just moved near this one....it is absolutely the worst Publix on the planet!!! They have issues from the top down....I overheard the head manager tells the meat guy their numbers were off several hundred thousand dollars!!! It starts with him and trickles down...the deli is a disaster and the deli manager is awful...which once again is a trickle down. They are rude and have no interest in the customer. Nothing is fresh EVER and is over cooked and indelible. The meat market is a joke as well as the seafood department...once again a problem from the top down. It's almost like every manager of every department is trying not to do business. I have always gone to Publix (daily) because I always knew I would get good service...not here I live less than a mile from this location and I drive 5 miles to the miracle strip location where the REAL PUBLIX is....TRUST ME WHEN I SAY NEVER GO TO RHE PUBLIX ON EGLIN PARKWAY!!!! read more

This has happened before- the customer service people make me wait for the rain check for an item- in this case ice tea that is BOGO yet there is no more on the shelf. The customer service person has to call to the back and make me wait while they verify that there are none in the back- well surprise there were some in the back! I had to wait this is going on now more than 20minutes with my daughter there waiting while they bring out ice tea that should have been on the shelf! When I asked her why they didn't stalk the shelves she said well it was late.........exactly so why should I have to wait to get the tea from the back when it should have been on the shelf to begin with! Not customer service friendly- not the first time the Eglin Pkwy store has been this way-- prefer the Mary Esther store for customer service. You would think that their pay gets cut for giving on rain checks-- so much for the customer is always right! read more
