Not the cleanest Walmart I've been in. The women's bathroom was disgusting. Only 2 of the 4 stalls were workable and the one small stall I had to use almost had the toilet paper dispenser in my lap. The cashier we had was friendly and staff on the floor were helpful in directing us to the right area as we were trying to find items. read more

Very unhappy with an online order. I Was first on Amazon ordering a 6 pack of safe catch tuna for $24, I was redirected by bing to Walmart for the same product for less, $17.26. On the Walmart page it did not specify how many cans. I mean for $17.26 It had to be more than one can, right? WRONG! They sent me one can of tuna. A $17.26 can of tuna that I could've gotten at Fresh market for $4. Order#200013292433422. Can't get anyone on the phone from Walmart's customer care. I emailed the third party that Walmart uses ATAFA as a supplier for Walmart and they don't care. False advertising and a scam. Never using Walmart again. Here in Destin I have Fresh Market, Whole foods and Publix all within one mile. Rather pay more, get what I order and not get scammed. Shame on you Walmart! read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Do not shop here! We ordered a delivery in advance on Saturday for it to be delivered on Monday morning at 7 am. Here we are, Monday, 12:01 PM, NO GROCERIES. They made us cancel and reschedule the order. We did that. Said they'd be here at 11. Nothing. Delayed. I was on assignment to Destin and have some time at night. I decided to buy a few things that my car need. Recently all the new car do not have the spare tire. What most of the car companies has is using the inflated gas canisters. I think this is good for temporary situation. What happened if you have long distance before any tire place. This may not work. I decided to shop at Walmart and either look for second canister or more permanent solutions. I saw they have this 12 volt connect to your car and pump system. I find out the Bell smart stop tire inflator. It is $39 with lifetime guarantee. It was very convenient and lightweight. It can pump the tire in 4 minutes. It has automatic stop system when reach the tire pressure. I got one of that. I also got the scratches paint repair system for my car. All is good shopping in Walmart. Walmart, as usual, distinguished itself by its excellent service. Yesterday I bought headphones online today I found a dirty wet bag of headphones under my door but that's not the worst. How could you forget to remove the protection from the headphones and send them to the buyer? Of course, I understand that you have no one to work there and you collect all illegal workers under your roof who are able to work. But is it really so hard to check the goods before shipping? What service are you talking about? And then they ask why I give them one star for their service. For which service should I put stars if the service is not available. IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ! Check all the food you buy!!! We were on vacation and bought some tiny donuts for breakfast. No one noticed until we got the the last donut that there are ants BAKED INTO the donuts. In the picture you can see all the black dots on the donut (ANTS) and all the dead ants in the container. There are 3 possible ways to get through a trip to Walmart Destin. 1. Start your WalMart experience buzzed. This is probably the most desirable option unless you're a vampire and are willing to go at midnight. 2. Go late at night or early morning. 3. Wear a blindfold and cruise through those wal-isles like you stole it. You may have a slightly lower risk of being run over by tourists using this methodology who look anywhere but in front of them as they barrel through the store with a cart full of beach chairs with a child hanging onto the cart for dear life; nevertheless, i can not recommend this option and accordingly I can't be held liable if you go this route. It might not be so bad if it was just the fact that all the tourists act like they've never been to a Walmart and find the need to do stupid shit like record themselves while haphazardly driving their cart into the locals who are simply looking to find groceries and put that food in their bellies. The real issue I have with Walmart Destin is the employees. Simply put, they don't give a **** and it shows if you have one eye open 1% of the time. It's not uncommon for employees and vendors to walk into or drive their carts into guests, block products while gathering in employee groups and making small talk. I've learned to not even bother saying excuses me anymore in these instances, simply put they seem to have absolutely ZERO standards for customer service at this store and most employees here treat the guests as a nuisance not to be bothered with. I can't count the number of times I've heard some pretty obscene language amung employees on the sales floor. You know what they say about wal mart employees? This location is why. This all said, I've actually past my feedback onto the store director roughly a month ago, and apparently it's done no good. After tonight I was 150,000% compelled to write this review as a late night cruise through wal world after work led me to use the restroom facilities before I began my extravaganza. I must have been 20 yards away approaching the bathroom and the smell of urine was overpowering. Nauseating even. IN THE STORE. I could barely breathe once I entered this hell room. I would not wish this upon my worst enemy. Real talk. If Walmart wants to keep locals business they need to step up their standards big time because this is a freaking joke and I'm really about fed up with the savings to have these kind of experiences. read more

This review is for their online order and pickup only as we didn't go inside. We placed our order the week before arriving for family vacation, and we arrived the morning of pickup within our time slot. They were super busy and the weather was hot. We had our order brought out to us within about 10 minutes after checking in, which is reasonable in my opinion. And, to top it off, the employee (I can't remember her name but I do remember her name tag said she was a trainer/coach) who helped us was AMAZING and friendly! I have nothing negative to note for this Wal-Mart. It serves the local population in the best way it can. It just doesn't "feel" like your everyday Wal-Mart. Here's the thing. This is the only Wal-Mart serving the western half of the condo-and-timeshare-saturated Emerald Coast harbors and beaches. THE Wal-Mart. So, it's set up more like a big box store than a general department store. There's lots of what they have, but they may not carry exactly what you want. There's lots of people stocking up on staple items to resupply their short-term residence, and augment dining out. And gobs of car and travel stuff. This is specifically for the autocare center of Destin walmart. I needed new tires before going on an early holiday trip in december. I called them about availability of my tires. After putting me on hold for nearly 20 minutes they told me they have them. I setup an appointment for the next day to have the tires installed. When I got there, they told me they didn't have them. No apology or anything. They just told me to order them online which would take 3 weeks to arrive. I missed that trip because I couldn't trust my old tires on such a long drive. I purchased the new tires online and eventually they installed them for me (no issues that can remember during this process). Three weeks later, as I was leaving for work I discovered that one of the tires was flat. I went back to this location to have them tell me there was an "inexplicable leak" on the inner side of the tire, and therefore it could not be fixed. So I had to buy a new one again (FYI, it would have been a free replacement if I had originally gotten roadside assistance or whatever). The mechanic assured me it would probably take 30 minutes to replace the tire, up to an hour in the worst case. THREE hours later I got a text saying they were now working on my vehicle. This was after I told my boss multiple times that I would be at work by 12pm then 1pm then 2pm. The store didn't even call me when it was finished. I noticed one of the mechanics holding my keys asking his fellow employees if anyone knows what these keys are for. They charged me for the new tire and service and didn't even look at me while they did it. The only positive note is that I called the manager and he "looked into it" so apparently it's all better now. I have lost a vacation and an entire day's salary along with a few days of my sanity because of this department's incompetence and rudeness. I dont have any real complaints about the rest of the store, but there is a sense of unapologetic, customer neglect on the part of their autocare center. read more

I had trouble with a tire that was going flat, vacationers from Georgia, the auto center mgr and crew helped me told me a missing part I needed to remove the tire (thanks Kia MOG) and when I got a locking lug it took it back in their bay & repaired it. I wish all Walmart auto centers were half this good. My wife and I will always be grateful for their help. This is a super store! read more

Yesterday, March 31 at about 10 a.m. I went to the Destin Walmart to buy 10 bags of topsoil. Got a basket from outside the garden center and picked up one bag and went inside to pay. The garden center employee said check outs were closed and I had to go to self checkout way at the other end of the store. When there, I was told I had to go to the customer service desk instead. Customer service said I was lucky to only want 10 bags or she would not have been able to check me out. I paid for the 10 bags and went all the way back to the garden center. No one was checking how many bags were taken. I only got 10 total, but anyone could take all they want. A neighbor went the day before for the same topsoil and the garden center doors were closed so had to walk all the way to the other end of the store. It seems Walmart doesn't care if I do business with them or not. I will pass this info to my other neighbors and friends. read more

By our fourth employee we asked if there was any way she could to see if they had it in store and she shook us off and said no (clearly did not want to help). It wasn't until we got to the 5th employee (a young teenage boy restocking) who quickly took out his phone to check and was able to tell us they only sell it online. Nothing wrong with the store at all. The best time to go is about 8 AM. Avoid shopping when you show up to town late at night. IT WILL BE PACKED. Bring everything you need for your first nights stay and go shopping in the morning. It's not worth the stress and anger to fight the stupid people flocking there at 8- 9:00 at night. :) read more

I love how much beach gear there is at the store which is cheaper than Alvin's and better quality. We like the airbrushed T-shirt vendor inside. He does great work and can complete an item while you wait. The auto center folks were extremely helpful with pricing out some tires for me and figuring out what the best solution might be. I'm not so enthusiastic about the parking situation as far as getting a possible door ding because you have to park so close to people if you want to be near the store. The parking lines seem to be for very small cars. So what I do is park the furthest away that you can possibly park so that nobody goes near me but then of course it's a very long and hot walk during a summer day to get back to your car. It's worth it though to not get a door ding. Not sure at that gas station in the parking lot is affiliated with Walmart or not but that's one of the best price the gas stations in the area as well. read more
