She also talked TO me and not AT me. There is a vast difference in the two of those as well. And to break it down even further, she SPOKE with me. I loved that! After filling out the intake form instead of just telling me to get on her (very comfortable) table. She took the time to pull out her essential oils and let me see which ones resonated with me instead of just selecting them herself. When I mentioned I would like to return to my car get my headphones she immediately asked what kind of music I preferred and changed the music she had playing to what was relaxing to me. Not only that but her studio has an air of peace. Her touch is firm but gentle. I did not feel as if she was hurrying through my session nor that she was about her own agenda. Again listening not with her physical ears she was present in the moment and gave me exactly what she sensed I needed.And I must stress SHE WAS SPOT ON!! Although I am sure like the rest of us she has to make a living, I very quickly realized money is not her driving force. Seeing people made well is what is important to her. She didn't tell me she was going to, didn't ask if it was okay. Just proceeded to use it. I have never had anything but acrylic nails done. When she was filing my nails, almost every single one of my fingers was bleeding. She used the green liquid stuff on almost every single finger. My fingers were so sore after that, I couldn't put them in hot water for days. Not only that, I had a nail break the next day, and the day after that, and I had enough. Three nails broke within two days. She offered to fix them for free, and so did the owner, but my fingers were still so sore, and honestly I didn't feel comfortable going back. When I spoke to my husband about this, and he told me I was not going back there for them to cut up my fingers again. I sent her a picture and told her what happened and asked for a refund. She refused. She said she's never had to give a refund in 24 years. But she finally agreed to refund half of the cost plus the tip I gave her. Total cost was $70 and I gave her a $10 tip. So she refunded $45. She sent me a screen shot of the refund.. my husband saw it pending on his credit card the next day. Two days after my appointment the refund was no longer pending on my husbands credit card. It was gone altogether. Like she cancelled the refund. I would not recommend that lady for nails to anyone.
