We ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl (risky, but it sounded so good so we took a chance). Not amazing but decent flavors and seemingly fresh. We also ended up with 5 different types of tacos, listed in order from best to worst: fish, chorizo, al pastor, cauliflower/black bean, and classic ground beef. The fish was the best by far. A little dry and could have used a touch of salt but overall good flavors and textures. The ground beef was inedible. Our kids LOVE beef tacos and would hardly touch them. When I tried a bite I literally spit it out (like a child, I know, but it was that bad). All the other tacos were fine. Nothing good or bad enough to note. The tacos came with rice and refried black beans. The rice was alright. The black beans were like a thick scoop of cookie dough. Ok in flavor but thick and dry and pasty and pretty unappetizing to look at. I would like to note, however, that we probably should have expected this, as I've never heard of a Mexican named Hugo. Next morning update: my husband and I have each had multiple bathroom trips (we'll just leave it at that ... ), and our children, who refused to eat the food, have had none. Pretty sure that says it all.

When she came back, she walked past me and served new customers. When she came back and took my order, she got distracted twice, walking away mid-payment. They also had World Cup games playing on a few of the TVs, so if you're looking for good food and good soccer, you're covered. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently outstanding. The chips and salsa are always fresh, the guacamole is always on point, even for someone like me who generally doesn't eat it much, and the carne asada tacos are the real deal, served with fresh pico and a solid side of rice and beans. If you're in the Niagara Falls area and want a great Mexican meal with genuine hospitality, give this place a shot.

And that's for the first on the waiting list. We departed with another person who wasn't going to wait, and turning the corner to the side lot, the man beside us sees a backing out vehicle bump his car! The least they could do is plow their parking areas!! It'll be a loooong time before we return here!!

We got offered a basket of chips and a carafe of salsa. We shared a shrimp fajita. We ordered the shrimp fajita to share. First a platter with refried beans, some lettuce salad, pico de gallo, Spanish rice, sour cream and a small scoop of guacamole was brought out. The wraps(3)came out wrapped in foil. Then the sizzling hot platter came out. There were a good number of nicely seasoned shrimp with sautéd peppers and onions, both red and green bell peppers, so quite colorful. The negative was that there was no serving utensil on either the platter with the rice, etc. or the sizzling one. Our waiter was very busy getting out the orders for the rest of our group, se we made due with our forks. A spoon would have made things much easier. By the way, the menu says one complimentary serving of chips and salsa, then a charge for refills. We were a table of eleven; our waiter brought out three bowls of chips and carafes of salsa. In looking around the table, and our friends' empty plates, I think a follow up trip might be necessary.

The owner stopped by the table and conversed a few other times he was walking by. Their complimentary chips and salsa are heavenly. The chips have a southwest seasoning of sorts, and the salsa is not your typical salsa... but a few bars above. We also ordered queso. It was TO DIE FOR. I need to go back already for more chips and dip. My fiancé ordered the tacos... his three were carne asada, adobo grilled shrimp, and the pork belly. He struggled to pick a favorite. He loved the sauce on the pork belly, and decided the carne asada was his favorite. I went with the shrimp fajitas. Very good sized meal. The shrimp were delicious. The Mexican rice was a bit different than usual Mexican rice... seemed more like a blend of other grains, and instead of your typical refried beans, they were just straight up pinto. LOTS of food. We went home beyond stuffed, and still wanting more chips.

It looked like there were only about 3 tables seated at the time and a few people at the bar. The restaurant has a cool vibe with bright colors and a VW bus in the middle that you can sit in! So neat! We chose to sit outside on the patio, which was a nice option to have. Once seated we were brought our menus and shortly there after complimentary chips and salsa. We each ordered a drink, one was a non-alcoholic grapefruit jalapeno refresher and the other was an alcoholic watermelon basil margarita. The NA one unfortunately didn't have any heat or flavor at all of the jalapeno in the actual drink, but it was ok. My friend enjoyed his watermelon drink, but only had one because it was a bit sweet. We ordered the Pozole Rojo, shrimp taco trio and shrimp fajitas. The Pozole Rojo was great and definitely my favorite part of the meal. It had a lot of pork in it and I enjoy the hominy corn, which you don't see on many menus. My friend really enjoyed the shrimp as did I; it was very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The beans that came with the fajita were quite bland, which was disappointing. All in all, I would give them another shot.
