What a disgraceful organization! I've been a customer for 15 years. Pretty much the first time I call for non-routine service; I have ground bees stinging us, I get told "a week and a half is the best we can do." I've been getting suckered out of $60 a month for years, and you're useless to me. I asked the local office to call, but of course they didn't. Exactly what I expected. I signed up with Ehrlich Pest Control on 4/22/24 in the Glenside PA area... and they have been a "no-show" twice. I've never received my initial total spray/ inspection (inside the home and outside). I stayed home from work for the first appointment, and they never showed up. Then about 10 days later I got a call from the tech who was at my home ready to inspect! I was on vacation and there was no way to get home, or find someone else, that could let him in for the service call. I got a second email from Ehrlich on Friday 6/15/24, notifying me they would be here on Monday 6/17/24. Once again they were a no-show! I stayed at my home all day waiting. This company is HORRIBLE... take your pest control dollars somewhere else. read more

Ehrlich is terrible. They charged me for services they didn't render. They documented visits they didn't make. They promised to remove mice that were caught in traps within a day or so but showed up weeks later to do so, meanwhile the mouse languished on a sticky trap squealing out for nights on end. They consistently passed the buck. In the end, I demanded my 3 years worth of monthly payments back to which they stated they were unable to do so. Ultimately I called New 4 Action and reported them. Of course once that happened, a portion of my payments were returned to me. In ending, Ehrlich is the actual pest, they claim to remove. Steer clear of this company. read more

What an amazing experience calling Ehrlich! We have a row home in South Philly and encountered a roach problem. We wanted to support a local business! They have head quarters in Reading but they service South Philly as well! Ehrlich answered the phone promptly and the great Alana gave us all the information we needed! She started with the importance of roach care and why a recall maintenance schedule is recommended. She even gave us a discount! Their services are Green and all pet and human friendly. We were concerned for the small dog and asthma related issues from the chemicals but they are a green and pet friendly service! No fumes for roaches! We called on Thursday and they had an agent available the next day! Chris will be our agent! We were given a two hour window for his arrival. And we will always have the same agent. They even service Starbucks! Happy to be on the road to roach recovery. read more

I used them this year for some termite control at my home and the technician did a good job catching all the areas, baiting and follow-up. My problem with them is their office staff and website. I signed up for their budget billing, but that proved to be a big mistake. Paying on-line is confusing due to their outdated software and, even though payments are made monthly, I continue to get dunning emails each month. Trying to talk to a live person is difficult and when you do, they all say the problem has been solved(until next month). Then it starts all over again. If you MUST use them, I'd advise only paying with check, CC, and in full. You don't want to deal with their staff more than absolutely necessary,, trust me. read more

This company should be ashamed of themselves. The initial technician came and performed the service appropriately, but then I and being constantly contacted by the accounts payable department about overdue charges. I've tried to contact Hector Viejo 4 times, left 4 voicemails, and he never returned my call. I spoke with another representative, and she informed me that the charge was an error and it would not happen again. Now this month, I get another robocall that says I need to contact accounts payable for an overdue balance. I am already being charged $40/month and paid a $250 initial fee. Ehrlich has lost my business, and I hope many of you reconsider using them after reading this review. read more

Wow.. Does this company know what there doing ?? I scheduled an appointment to have my one tree fogged because we have lantern flys. I spoke with Cass he's the Rep who told me they would fog the sugar maple tree Top to Bottom, also do the outside of house and the bushes on the property. I wrote this down as we spoke on the phone and he quoted me a price. We have about 1/4 ac maybe less. This was scheduled for 2 days later so I prepared outside gardens and moving all outside items in winter storage. The man shows up 2days later from Erlich on time and he tells me he doesn't know what he's to do here ?? I started to tell him and right away he informs me they don't spray trees. What?? BEWARE people they DONT spray trees! I'm upset because I find this out and worked and waited to have this done so needless to say.. get off my property for jerking me around ...just what kind of company are they running?? Why would Cass discuss all of this and set up to have this work done from top to bottom when they don't do trees?? I do Not recommend this company and give it 1- star only because I have to too to complete this blog. read more

I am not happy with them. I asked them to let me know if the technician comes to check on the yard and outside of the house - and they did not... Just showed up when I was not at home... so my inside ant issues were not treated. Called them - they were rude - I told them I cancel their service. A few days ago... I see a technician spraying around again, and left without getting in for the ants. Called them... and I got lectured... this is how they do business. I canceled again... and a bill came... I called them about it - could not wait for the person who is in charge - after 10 minutes on hold... I sent my complaint over their website - they will call... they did not. Is this how they want to make money? forcing the customer to take whatever they do? No chance of getting an appointment? No chance of cancellation - only billing for what they want to do??? I am living across from a demolition site in Cambridge, MA and have had to get rid of rodent problems. The local company was WatchAll, who was recommended by my neighbor, but the company was recently bought by JC Ehrlich. From the outset, this experience has been unprofessional. The original inspector came out to visit, assessed the situation and said someone would call for a contract. They never did. After 3 calls, they finally set up my contract and an appointment, and came out to set up traps. They then informed me that they would come out on a weekly basis to see how things were progressing. That was three weeks ago. Since then, the rodent problem is the same as it was before (and please note that all of my neighbors are also using exterminators). The rats are actually SLEEPING in the traps, and are just as active as ever (if not moreso). After calling them, yet again, they informed me that the soonest that they can come out is NEXT WEEK. In short, I cannot in good faith recommend this business. While their customer service staff (on the phone) are very nice and try to help, and are obviously embarrassed by the situation, but the extermination staff are not doing their job. read more

This company is absolutely horrific. Had a problem with bees in our house. The man that came out was excellent and very professional however the woman on the phone asked me if I wanted to be enrolled to have someone come out every month to check my property I told her no. Fast forward a month and I get charged $44. I called the number listed on the statement and was told it was cancelled and my money will be returned to my account. That was 2 months ago I have called four other times and was assured that I would be refunded my money one woman Naja told me I would have it in my account within 72 hours. That was a week and a half ago. I would not use this company ever again nor recommend to anyone unless you want money stolen from you. No one has $44 dollars to just give away for a service they didn't receive! read more

Awful since this company bought our local provider recently. They call themselves JC Ehrlich in our area but same website. Last attempt at appointment was a new tech. I waited between 8am to noon, and nobody showed up. I called the main number and was on hold a while, which is new. When I finally spoke with someone, I was told they would call the tech. The tech confirmed he would be there in 30 min. He actually took an hour to show up and I waited 15 minutes more for him to walk to the door. Unlike the tech we had for years, he didn't confirm with me before mixing what chemical he decided on our behalf to have sprayed, thus and had mixed a material to apply we did not want. When I asked him to verify that he was applying our normal product, I learned he had no idea what chemical we usually have sprayed and tried to tell me that what he was going to applying would be fine. NO! That is not how it should work and that is a big clue to run away from this company. No literature was provided, just take his word for it!! When pressed for information, he expected me to be able to provide him the past history of chemical application they should know! He called the office for information and multiple times seem to purposefully misstate information to the office! When he was done with his call, he told me he had no "green" products on his truck, thus he had arrived unprepared for my appointment to be able to provide the same application we normally use. It was left on us to reschedule! It was a waste of half my previous day to prepare the house for application and I wasted from 8 am to 2 pm the day of the appointment. Who has the time and money to waste for no service while getting stress in return? I am an industrial hygienist and safety professional and I was appalled at what the tech said and at watching him use my walls to hold himself up as he spoke after mixing chemicals. He barely got up the steps to my house due to need to use a cane while trying to hold a chemical application canister because he had no backpack type. How was he to use an application wand skillfully and navigate the obstructions in my house, which has steps? He also had no shoe covers, like the old technician, who we really liked and provided great service for years!!!!! Too bad the company got bought out. I hope they learn and improve. Ability to make appointments and what they cover for same price has gone down hill since change. Odd reasons given for why they won't perform some work previous company would, like spray other buildings (in or out) on our property. One reason given is that other buildings are too close to property line....there is no structure on other side of property from them. So it sounds like those of you in townhouses should not bother with this company, or those with a house close to your property line (likely many considering their service). We will be looking for another provider once contract expires. Or I may just ask for a refund of the remainder of the contract due to inability to obtain service and concern for safety and health. No reasons to stay with a company giving us bogus excuses, reduced service for same contract, wasting our time, and putting our household at health risk. read more

My family had a terrible experience with this company. Their lack of expertise in moths contributed to a ton of damage. Rob, who replaced Micheal (he left the company) did not know the difference between kitchen and cloth moths. Once we had moths, "experts" were sent over who argued as to whether they should bomb the piano/not bomb the piano, while missing the backs of old paintings/pool table/card table - covered in felt ( a friend told us to do this). Rob could also not cope with ants. All in all, and ABSOLUTELY HORRID EXPERIENCE - moths for 7 months, before switching to another bug company. read more

The technician who came to my house last week to spray for wasps did a fantastic job (so far, we'll see if the wasps return prior to the 30 days the work is guaranteed for). The billing office...not so much. I gave my credit card number over the phone and was assured I wouldn't be charged until after the work was performed. They charged me TWICE for the same service and getting them to refund the erroneous charge is insanely difficult!!! They are taking zero responsibility for such an unnecessary error; no accountability whatsoever! They told me it would take TWO WEEKS for the credit to go back onto my account. I told them I expected it immediately because I use that account to pay my bills and need that $206 in order to pay them (like $50 I could handle but $206 is a huge chunk of change). The idiot customer service rep said the billing person "probably hit submit twice." I suggested they be fired for their incompetence and when he asked if I ever made a mistake at my job I told him not when it deals with other people's money (I am a payroll clerk, gotta be 100% 100% of the time). By the end of the call he said the manager would expedite the refund and I should see it within 24 hours. We'll see... read more

If I could give this company a BIG FAT 0 I would. First off let me say that the tech's who work for this company are very nice an knowledgeable. I use to have pest control as well as termite protection. I canceled the pest control because if it takes you 5 times to kill some ants, I can do this myself for cheaper than 40 bucks a month. For 6 months they kept sending me a bill for 2 homes that I do not own for their pest control. I called each month and spoke to them telling them I do not own these homes. Finally after the 6th call I gave them the address of the former owners of my house who did own the houses they were billing me for. (6 months, talking to idiots) Now I have finally decided to cancel my termite control. I had already canceled in early June, sometime in July the tech shows up. I told him to get lost since I had canceled the service. Again I call Ehrlich asking what he was doing here. Next day I get a bill. August another bill, again I call. Now in September I have just received another bill - PAST DUE NOTICE!! I feel like I've been talking to a wall. Just for some notice they only come once a year now to check for termite control. When I called to ask when someone was coming out they informed me of this. I got no email, no phone call to tell me of the 1 trip they would make to my house. They don't even schedule an apt with you , they just show up. Luckily I work from home so I saw the tech coming and asked him to leave my property. Run as fast as you can from this loser company. From start to finish my experience with this company has been terrible ! When I first called I was asked to update all my information which I did 3 times because they obviously were not entering the information into the computer. The first technician came out to inspect my home. We had fleas. I made an appointment and the technician came late, so I was late to my groomer to have my 3 pets flea bathed. Two weeks later we still have fleas so I called again .They sent the same technician who indicated he was having personal issues. I told him I too was having issues and needed surgery the next day so it was very important that we get rid of these fleas . I again took my 3 Pets for flea baths. When we came home there was no Trace that anything had been done . No hint of any odor like the first time and we still had fleas. I called a third time and asked for a different technician. On the day of my appointment three and a half hours into my 4-Hour window of arrival I called to see when the technician was getting here and he said I had been taken off his list and was put on someone else's list but when he spoke to that technician I had also been taken off his schedule. This time my 3 pets were already at the groomer and at this point I began to cry. The technician took pity on me and said he would be right over and he was which is the only reason they got one star. I had called earlier to speak to a manager or supervisor and was never called back. Although the last technician was wonderful I will never use this company again or recommend them to anyone else ! read more

They have always been professional and take great care to be neat when they are in my home (yes, they always put those little booties on their shoes!). Matt has been our service provider for quite some time and I find it very beneficial to have the same person come to my house. He remembers the seasonal issues I have with pests at my home and has always been very responsive. And he does it right the first time! read more

Ehrich is awful. We had bats in our attic. Ehrich (Ridings Road) came out to service and remove bats. $2500.00 later with half ass netting hanging aroung attic windows, bats were still a problem. Several calls and missed appointments by them to follow up. They never fixed the problem. Frustrated, I called Sweeny's Pest Control in Homer. They came as scheduled and only $650.00 later, our bat problem was eliminated. They used the proper funnel method and expained everything thouroughly, and even came back to follow up. This company is very, very unprofessional. They don't care about the customer. The person who answered the phone booked the appointment neglected to tell me things that needed to be done. Told me my appointment was from 6 - 7 pm. He showed up at 3ish. I was no where near ready was still preparing the house. I have two young children and they were out of the house so that day worked for me the best. When the driver came at 3 he said he would come back around 5:30 and that would be better for us, we wouldnt be home but we would leave the key in a place discussed between him and us. he said ok that was fine. When we came home that day nothing looked touched. I called they said he couldnt find the key! When I spoke with a manager he said the driver also says there was animals walking around which there was not they were all in cages in the attic. There is something def wrong with this company. When I spoke with the sales specialist he told me that he would waive the fee and just pay the monthly fee. Then when he spoke with someone he said he couldnt do that and the best he could do is a $30 discount. What kind of bullshit is that?? Tell me one thing and then go back on it? Then when I told him he would loose a customer over this he basically said yes the $30 was the best he could do so f' them. What ever happen to the customer is always right??? read more
