Mac and cheese with pulled pork
    Jennifer H.

Got a quick snack here, and the mac and cheese with pulled pork hit the spot! The mac and cheese was pretty cheesy, and the pulled pork was tender. Can't get better than that! It was around $7, and on the small side, but I enjoyed it!

The Mac and cheese is good! My friend got the pulled pork one and, fair warning, the pickles included are SWEET pickles. But otherwise she enjoyed it! You can definitely taste some Parmesan in the Mac, super yum. I'll def get again. Bird kept trying to steal my Mac though but it's a lil stand with very few outside seats, so can't ask for much lol.

I was happy to have been able to try this cafe. This cafe is located in Animal Kingdom. the Macaroni was cheesy and delicious. Not the best I ever had, but still very good. The portion size is also very small for $7.00. I topped my Mac n cheese with pulled pork and it was okay. Nothing special. The Mac n cheese is really what stole the show. Overall, I do recommend this little gem.

This is my 15 year olds review- the best thing I ate all day!!!! Yes I would get it again, I would eat it all the time if I could! She had the brisket and mac!! So do it up!

This is my other to go to quick service in Animal Kingdom, alongside Flame Tree BBQ. TBH I think they get their food or at least some of their food from the Flame Tree's kitchen. Though this cafe is not open all the time, operating hours are limited and depending on season isn't always open daily. However when it is open, the food is great and there isn't usually much of a line if any. I usually always go for the pulled pork mac and cheese and have tried the shrimp too - both are great. As there isn't much seating for the cafe, I usually wander over to Flame Tree for seating.

After so many people mentioning the amazing mac and cheese snacks, we finally got to try them out for ourselves! While in Animal Kingdom, we headed over to Eight Spoon Cafe to try these delicious dishes. We ordered the shrimp mac and cheese and the pulled pork mac and cheese to share. Both of them are cooked to order and were piping hot when we got them. That only made the cheese that much ooey gooey!! The shrimp mac and cheese was interesting! It has a more thai chili flavor which was a great mix with the cheese. It added some needed acid to break in the creaminess. It was really good. The shrimp were cooked perfectly!! The real winner was the pulled pork mac and cheese. For someone who does not eat a lot of pork, I could not get enough!! The mix of the pork, bbq sauce and cheese was a win! I wish I didn't have to share! For folks on the dining plan, this is a snack that can definitely be used as a meal. It is awesome! Can't wait to eat this again.

They do one thing, mac & cheese. However it is really good! There are a few choices that you can top it with such as chicken, pork or shrimp. There is a small seating area and it will cost about $7.00 or a snack credit.

The mac and cheese here is absolutely delicious!! It looks small but it is very filling and so much cheaper than other dining options at Disney

Baked macaroni and cheese with pulled pork, super YUMMY! ($6.49)

Outdoor among the walking traffic of Disney's Animal Kingdom is Eight Spoon Cafe. For such delicious food there should be more five star reviews! This place is one of the more affordable counter services that you will find. Here they have to offer Mickey pretzels with cheese, bottled water, sodas, chips, and three different kinds of baked macaroni and cheese. To save money you can opt of purchasing the bottled water and just ask for iced water cups. You can ask for more than one too! Any counter service that have fountain drinks are suppose to provide you water cups upon request. You will need to hydrate throughout the day! On to the food shall we? The baked and macaroni and cheese with pulled pork ($6.49) is a must if you are needing a comforting light lunch (one person) or snack (share between two people). I would recommend just getting your own. You will not want to share! The pork is surprisingly tender and generous in portions. The macaroni and cheese is cooked perfectly and of course is very cheesy. The bbq sauce and pickles compliments everything! Definitely one of our top favorites for counter service. Sooo if you are at Disney World's Animal Kingdom right now, what are you waiting for?

Baked Mac and Cheese with shrimp and sweet Thai chili sauce

Because we watch the Disney Food Blog religiously, we were made aware of some delicious Mac and cheese snacks at Animal Kingdom. We tried the baked macaroni and cheese with shrimp and sweet chili sauce. My less daring children had the plain baked Mac and cheese. This was soooo cheesy and yummy! My favorite was the shrimp. The Thai chili sauce just brought it to the next level with the sweet and savory combo. Next time we'll try the pulled pork.

    False advertising

Was so excited to try this food! But wow what false advertising and how disappointing. Look at these portions! It was maybe 3 bites for $7. Really wrong of them to be honest.

Formerly the Beastly Kiosk, the Eight Spoon Cafe boasts a couple of hold-me-over snacks. Mainly they serve variations of macaroni & cheese and the Mickey Pretzel. Aside from that, they also offer chips, drinks, and water. That's mainly it. Believe me, however, when I say that the basic mac and cheese was no disappointment. We were starving before dinner so we got the pretzel and the mac & cheese. Now my favorite part about a good mac & cheese is the part that gets crispy. When I received this small bowl, don't be fooled. This will definitely satisfy. Going back to the quality of the mac & cheese, the crispness of the edges that slighly overflow the bowl are freaking amazing. If you're lucky, you can almost pull it off and eat it like a baked parmesan chip. So good. This mac & cheese also possesses mild layers of golden brown. Not your basic all white course, which is awesome. As for the Mickey Pretzel, it's a soft pretzel. Pretty standard, and you also get the cheese sauce that comes with it. This place is tucked between the Tree of Life and before you head north to see the monkeys on the right hand side. For the price, it's not bad. The mac & cheese is surprisingly cheaper than the pretzel, but of course, put Mickey's name on anything and you can add a few bucks to it. Oh well. I'd definitely come back to this stand if I'm in between meals and starving. It's not the most incredible mac & cheese you ever had but it's definitely plenty of notches above the rest.

While the interior is more modern than the bakeries I grew up visiting in Flushing, New York, the food itself reminded me of home. I picked up a hot dog bun and a custard egg tart from the bakery, then ordered the Hong Kong sticky rice and lychee mango fruit tea with boba (50% sugar, 50% ice). These are some of my favorite comfort foods, and while the prices were a bit higher than what I'm used to back home, I was pleasantly surprised by every item I tried. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The hot dog bun was soft, and the egg tart had a flaky crust with smooth custard. The sticky rice, wrapped in a lotus leaf, was warm, comforting, and had the subtle savory flavor I love. The fruit tea was refreshing, with real pieces of lychee and mango mixed in. There was plenty of seating for my friend and me to sit, relax, and enjoy our treats. If you're looking for authentic Asian bakery favorites in Orlando, Bakery 1908 is worth checking out. It's the perfect spot for brunch, whether you're craving something sweet or savory or just want a refreshing drink. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm missing the flavors of home.

This time we stayed on I-Drive and found that they have a new location closer by in Lake Buena Vista, which we love even more than the first one. It's busier too and harder to find a parking spot though. Their breads are so delicious, with so many varieties we always have a hard time deciding what to get, since we want them all! The swiss roll right by the entrance are delicious too! They also have cookies, and their crepe cakes are closest to Lady M than any other I've tried. You can tell that the crepe is really thin with rich layers of cream in between. It's an Asian bakery so the sweetness level is not as intense, and the bread dough is on the soft and pillowy side. Oh did I mention they also offer dimsum and a bunch of other things too. Yes, you can eat your breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea here. And probably still want more.

I followed the hostess through the spacious restaurant until he placed me at a small booth table. My server was very pleasant. She approached the table, warmly greeted me, and asked if I would like some orange juice, which I gladly accepted. At the same time, I placed an order for their apple cinnamon french toast. Wow, I was impressed with the presentation. Three thick slices of bread nicely browned with cinnamon-spiced apple filling and dusted with powdered sugar. This dish didn't need any syrup. The flavors from the apples was just enough and it was so ooey-gooey good. The meal was thoroughly enjoyed and I received satisfactory service. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit.

They may have been waiting on more staff since half the restaurant was empty. Our food was fine but on par with Denny's or Perkins. My potatoes were slightly undercooked and warm at best. Worst part: we came here to use a gift card since we're moving out of the country in three days. Sorry, our machine isn't taking gift cards at this time so just use it next time.
