For such a limited menu offering, they really choose well. While I may be huge, that has nothing to do with me being huge fan of their Ham & Gruyère puff pastry, as well as their Crème Brûlée croissant. I've never seen a slice of deli meat presented so delightfully as a grab and go. The employees I interacted with were surprisingly chipper and hospitable for such a warm day. Took a break at Gaston's Tavern. They offer some of the best cinnamon rolls I have had in a very long time. They are a very large warm roll that is just wonderful. We also tried the Creme Brulee Croissant which was very good as well (as long as you like vanilla custard). You place your order then find a table. Thankfully there was enough room for all of us. It's a bit dark inside but it only added to the ambiance. My nephew recommended the LeFou's Brew which is a frozen apple juice with toasted marshmallows topped with a fruity foam topping. The marsh was not very obvi, and it was rlly busy so the staff didn't greet us as much. They give you rlly big portions and you do have a mug you can purchase as a souvenir. Lafoos brew was tasty, less sweet than most apple juices and a little tart(the flavored foam) though the toasted marshmallow flavor didn't really come through. This is a walk up and order quick service and has a mobile order pick up side separate from. The usual order and pick up. I basically ordered 1 of everything here, the complaint I do have is the cinnamon roll because... it was incredibly dry. I couldn't even pour the icing that came on the side because it just dried in the cup. Everything else was pretty good! I enjoyed the crème brûlée croissant the most! It had real vanilla in it so it was definitely my fave! The grey stuff cupcake was actually better than the one at Disneyland because the disneyland one is red velvet (i don't like red velvet) and this one is more chocolate-y. The ham & gruyère sandwich was a nice contrast to the sweet stuff and was actually my 2nd favorite thing here. Lastly, LeFou's Brew drink was really nice! My family and I grabbed something quick to eat at Gaston's Tavern during our recent visit to Magic Kingdom. Located in the Fantasy Land part of the park, Gaston's Tavern is a great quick service option to grab a bite at. The quick service spots don't have very extensive menus and usual serve specific things at each location. The menu consists of several à la carte items derived from French cuisine, just more of a "fast food" version. This is a popular spot, especially when the park is busy, so the lines could be longer. But don't be intimidated by the size of the line as the staff is very efficient and the line moves quickly. There is some seating offered inside, but it is very limited. It will be very hard to snag a table inside, although we were fortunate enough to get one. There is some seating offered outside as well and many people sit along the edge of the Gaston fountain out front. The lack of seating is very typical for most quick service locations as they are meant to get you in and out quickly. We ended up ordering 2 crème brûlée croissants, a warm cinnamon roll, and two ham & Gruyère croissants. The crème brûlée croissant consisted of crispy croissant dough filled with vanilla bean custard. This was decadent in the best way. The croissant was super flaky and was packed with the luscious vanilla custard. The custard was light and creamy with lots of vanilla flavor. You could actually see the vanilla bean specks in the custard. The crystallized sugar atop the croissant really completed the treat, would recommend! Now the ham & Gruyère croissant was really were it was at. The ham & Gruyère croissant consisted of crispy croissant dough filled with ham and Gruyère cheese served with chips. This was by far our favorite! This treat was served fresh and was nice and warm, with the cheese nice and melted. The ham was salty, with a slight sweetness, pairing perfectly with the sharpness of the Gruyère cheese. All of that inside the flaky, buttery croissant --perfection! The ham & Gruyère croissant also comes with a bag of chips as it is considered an entree. My dad also enjoyed his cinnamon roll, wasn't our favorite, but decent. The cinnamon roll is huge and can very easily be split amongst several people. The dough is a little on the dry side but the icing does help. Nothing super special. Overall, we all were very impressed with Gaston's Tavern, especially considering it is only a quick service spot. Usually quick service locations don't serve the best quality food because they have to mass produce so much of it through out the day. Both the crème brûlée and ham & Gruyère croissants left us wowed. The crème brûlée croissant is a perfect treat and wasn't super heavy. The ham & Gruyère croissant is decadent, super cheesy, and packed with great savory flavors. We ended up sharing a lot of these items as they were very large. Stoked that my fiance and I finally got to try Lefou's Brew after attempting to make it ourselves a few times for over a year (there's a cookbook with a bunch of Disney Park recipes). As much as I love the brew we make, you can't go wrong with Disney's perfection on this one. If you don't know what that is, it was this frozen apple slushy with passion fruit flavoured foam, and there's some sort of marshmallow flavour somewhere in there as well. The cinnamon bun look ridiculously delicious, gonna have to try that next time along with the Grey Stuff if they have it. I'm also a big fan of Gaston....i just enjoy his goofy confidence/cockiness, makes me giggle, especially that big giant portrait of him in the sitting area. Gaston's Tavern is something that I wish Disneyland would have! It's such a cute and simple beauty and the beast themed snack service but the treats are delicious here! We got the famous warm cinnamon roll, creme brûlée croissant, and LeFou's Brew. Everything was great! The cinnamon roll was not as good as Cinnabon but it definitely was soft and warm with sugary cinnamon-ny goodness. My favorite was the creme brûlée croissant, the creme was so airy and subtly sweet with a hint of vanilla bean. The top of the croissant was crystallized in sugar--just a perfect pastry combination. LeFou's brew was also yummy as the acidity of the frozen apple juice was toned down by a toasted marshmallow flavor. Maurice's treats at Disneyland has a similar drink to this but Gaston's Tavern is better because of that toasted marshmallow flavor IMO. I loved the food and the theming, would definitely add this on to my itinerary whenever I come back again. read more

I also tried the le fou's brew and it was refreshing with the fruit foam being the best part in my opinion - sour so maybe not for everyone but definitely for me. I like to get mine without chips which brings the total from $10.79 to $8.79. It's like an upscale ham and cheese with a creamy bechamel sauce and melted gruyère. This is a must for me at least 2-3 times a trip. It's such a filling and flavorful lunch or snack and it's consistently good every single time I order it. The Crème Brûlée Croissant is crispy croissant dough filled with vanilla bean custard. I love this. I must get it every single trip at least once lol. It has a nice glaze on the outside that is crisp when you bite into it, similar to when you crack a traditional crème brûlée. The filling is a cool vanilla custard. It's messy, but oh so delicious, without being overly sweet. Lastly, The Grey Stuff Cupcake is a chocolate cupcake topped with "The Grey Stuff" and crispy pearls. Someone else in our party got this and I was pleasantly surprised. The cupcake was actually moist and overall pretty good with the grey stuff. It was chocolatey without being too much. LeFou's Brew is frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and topped with passion fruit-mango foam. This sounds like an odd combination of flavors, but I find it to be quite refreshing. It's a little sweet and a little tart. My best recommendation is to drink it with either a Joffrey's straw or metal straw, because those paper straws will be destroyed and soggy in no time. It was super soft in the middle (best part) and just what I would expect for quick service at Disney world. I love the tribute statue of Gaston outside with the fountain. Looks to me like it's straight from the scene in Beauty and the Beast when she's sitting outside reading her book. Inside there are several tables available, with air conditioning. There are also some seating areas outside, but if it's in the summer, I could imagine it getting very hot! My daughter and I ended up ordering the chocolate cupcake and the cinnamon bun! The cinnamon roll was huge! I wish I had another family member at the time with me to split it, because unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish it. The cinnamon roll was delicious though! It was loaded with frosting and had a lot of cinnamon flavor within the roll. My daughter enjoyed the cupcake. The food wasn't too expensive. After all this time, Gaston's has been one of the most elusive and irritating establishments for me. The "grey stuff" was once only available at Be Our Guest for special occasions. But oh, my lucky stars, after all these years of walking in disappointed, I had to rub my eyes when I saw the grey stuff on the menu. It truly returned and I could finally get my hands on it. I didn't expect it to be any good, truth be told but it was delightful. The foundation consists of chocolate cake. The cookies and cream mousse frosting was smooth and not overly sweet. It was not only on the top but also inside the core of the cupcake. Small crispy pearls and cacao bits were littered on the outside. And a small rose adorns the whole thing.
