This store is an excellent resource for Women's clothing in great fabrics -- cotton, linen, wool. While not a fan of EF unflattering shapes and silhouettes, the fabrics, price, & color options (when they work) make up for it. This store makes me mad. Snobby people that aren't helpful. I buy tons of Eileen Fisher clothing and I like to go in there a couple times a year and buy in bulk for work. I always spend a ton of money and I've finally decided they don't deserve my business. There are always at least four women working and not many people in the store and they never ever help you. I could be in the dressing room trying on 20 things and not once do they ask if you want another size. I asked to buy two pairs of black pants just like a pair I brought in a bag to make sure I got the right ones. Bought them and got home and of course they aren't the right ones. Ticks me off. I specifically brought in my old pair to make sure. For 168 each I am ticked I have to go back. I had already been in dressing room forever so thought asking for more of same pant with a sample in hand wouldn't require a try on. Women working are not helpful and snobby. I can't imagine how they treat people who don't spend thousands each trip if they treat me like crap. I'm done with them. read more

The worst service ever! I was in this store midafternoon during the week.There was one other customer in the store and 4 employees. My hands were nearly numb from holding my selections before someone finally took them from me and then they never showed up again. I walked by the gaggle of employees twice taking things to the dressing room--not an offer of help! The employees were having a lovely conversation about who divorced who and various other topics. While in the dressing room not once was I asked if I needed a size or anything. As I was purchasing my items--yes I actually bought something!-one employee walked into my dressing room and came back out scowling--I guess I tried on too many things. I will not return to this store regardless of the selection because it was unwelcoming and borderline rude. read more

This store is staffed with the unfriendliest sales clerks I have ever seen. Not only do they ignore you when you walk in, they actually make you feel like you're in the way while they stock the racks and talk among themselves. My mom's a huge Eileen Fisher fan, and we happened upon the factory store by chance on a trip to LL Bean nearby. Mom quite literally peed her pants with excitement when she saw this place - she picked up a beautiful jacket she'd had her eyes on for months at retail, and I got really lucky as well - I scored a silk ruffled dress on sale for only $60. They don't have every size in every style, of course, and some items still seemed a bit pricey (there was a gorgeous silk tank top that I would have walked away with if it wasn't close to $200) but overall I'd say it's worth making the trip out here. read more

I love the company store. The sales are excellent and the quality is great. I find the staff helpful and they always recognize me and make an effort to acknowledge me. I always find clothing I like and they give you $5.00 for every old EF item you return to recycle. They take items that are 5 years old. They are doing a good job observing COVID safety. read more

There seems to be a theme here. The staff apparently have no ducks to give. I was literally the only person in the store and had to start my own fitting room. Plus they like to lock up early if they're not busy, which I learned the hard way coming from out of town, only to walk up and find the store closed a half hour before the posted closing time. Seriously. I can't fathom why this level of customer service is tolerated. It's not Nordstrom's prices, but it's also not exactly cheap either. Go to Nordstrom Rack instead. read more

I felt like I stumbled on a treasure trove the first time I was there - kept seeing everything I'd wanted in the store....on my next trip, everything was dowdy and drab and clearly had not sold at retail for a reason. So like many outlets, it's hit or miss. They do have basic dressing pieces (like leggings) at a discount. I found the staff really welcoming and helpful. The staff in Chestnut Hill are pretty snooty, so it was a welcome change. If I have time to burn I will definitely try again because the first visit was a score! read more

Don't understand the low star reviews, especially of staff. The one that said some guy called out "Hey pal..." must be making up a story. I've been going to this store for years and each & every time the staff is wonderfully helpful (especially Maisie). Come to think of it, I've never seen a male staff member here (though that doesn't mean there never was one). The reviewer calling EF clothes for "middle-aged" women must not have any style sense. EF clothes are for all ages of women who are creative, entrepreneurial, enjoy a simplicity that's timeless, and appreciates well made clothes. Perhaps that young woman was into trendy Marshall's polyester? Whatever - these clothes are beautifully made and made to last. I have EF sweaters, tanks and everything in between from 10 years ago that look just as fashion forward today as when I purchased them. read more

If you are a fan of Eileen Fisher clothes but can't afford or can't justify paying the full retail store prices, this is a wonderful place to shop - same great seasonal clothes from one year prior. Love, love, love the EF outlet. As an admirer of all things EF, this store is a little slice of heaven. The deals are great if you are used to buying retail, especially when they are having a sale ( highly recommend getting on the mailing list). I am surprised at some of the comments regarding customer service. I have found the sales staff extremely helpful and friendly (especially Rosemary!) I guess everyone has a bad day. LOVE this place! I don't know about all the prices, but I saw things that were half what they were at Needless Markup last season. Also the saleswomen were very helpful and friendly -- it was like shopping with girlfriends. I have been to this outlet a few times. I absolutely love her sweaters. The staff is polite and helpful. They do not seem aware of approaching events though and I found that strange. When I was in retail I knew them all! I find the prices fair. I am going tomorrow and I hope I can exchange a sweater I bought for a smaller size, we shall see. Although cheaper than full on retail, it's by no means give away prices, but if are used to Saks and Nordstrom prices, than you will be pleasantly surprised- especially during a SALE! I'm a big fan of Eileen Fisher and when I recently moved to Lexington and found the company store, I was excited to hopefully get bargains. A few visits and a few bargains, but every visit resulted with very poor service. The entire staff seem to have a chip on their shoulders or feel that they are better than you are. It's amazing to me that they seem to forget who the customer is. My last visit was one of the worst and I'm going to think twice before going again - regardless of the bargains. read more

The first time I found the company store I had just purchased three Eileen Fisher sweaters at Bloomingdales - full price. I left the outlet and had two shopping bags filled with clothes for less than the 3 sweaters. This store is amazing - Even better is how wonderful the staff and management is. It makes a difference to have people help that love the clothes as well. I go there a few times a month and have always had top notch service. I have been in customer service for over 20 years, so I really appreciate the way they treat their customers. read more

I love this store and here's why: the decor is so stylish, walking in, one immediately feels soothed by the calming colors of the walls, the fixtures, the floors, etc. The way the clothes are displayed is enticing, plus the accessories are laid out invitingly. There is a large stock, things are easy to find, the changing rooms are comfortable and the staff were helpful without being overly pushy. I love Eileen Fisher's clothing. Shopping at the Wayside common has made me feel unwelcome. I had asked an associate if there was another pair of pants that I had with me as my sister also loves her clothes and thought of gifting it. One replied rudely that I have look around as they don't know and the other said after checking the inventory that they have none left. I walked around and one was nicely folded for display. I have always felt very badly treated. Only a certain group of people are given attention and the staff at this Burlington store are quite condescending and aloof. Every visit resulted with very poor service. The entire staff seem to have a chip on their shoulders or feel that they are better than you are. Very selective in the customers they choose to interact with. i would strongly recommend a good diversity training. Customer Service training a few among others. Also getting different employees may help the image of a good company. read more

This EF Company Store is a wonderful place to go to see the things that never made it to the real store near us. It provides variety and allows me to see a different side of Fisher in many cases. I've always found the women who work here to be dedicated to their customers. They brought my friend and I many items we didn't even know we'd like. They give you freedom to roam the store unattended but if you engage them, they couldn't be nicer. That woman from Boston probably wouldn't like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny either. Angry. My fiancee has quite a collection of EF pieces. I went to Eileen Fisher today to purchase a gift card for her. From my entrance to my exit, I was watched and made to feel that my business was not wanted. The associates made feel as if my money was not good enough or that maybe I could not afford to shop there. The service was poor to say the least. The first associate acted is though I was going to rob her. The second associate, a male who ran out from the back yelled to me, "hey pal, you want to buy a gift card?"For an upscale shop, that language was altogether offensive and out of order for an associate to use toward a customer. The only saving grace was that an older woman recognized the poor treatment and became responsive. I purchased the card and left the store but fumed as I walked to my car. I returned to the store to register my complete dissatisfaction regarding the "hey pal" remark. Ultimately, I left to continue my errands but returned hours later and requested a refund. As much as my fiancee likes EF, i could not give her the card. I would suggest that all women avoid Eileen Fisher, black, white and purple. I may have to give one star but none are deserved. This is the disrespectful behavior that people of color have had to deal with forever. read more

I love all things Eileen Fisher and drove here yesterday from the South Shore. I am terrible with directions and it is so easy to get to off exit: veer right off ramp & first right at light into Wayside store complex. The clothes are steeply discounted and I found items marked 2/3 off retail price but still expensive. That said, you get what you pay for: stylish classic staples with modern tweaks that are well-made and last for years. Bonuses: array of sizes, clothes from all seasons, good selection of lines not found in all stores such as Fisher Project, & Line and accessories and shoes only found online, all clothes are SAME as retail and not cheap knockoffs like many "company" stores like Kate Spade and Ann Taylor that carry inferior merchandise made for company stores exclusively. Cons: the clothes are all last years and some from prior years like 2011 and some more popular items have limited size selection like XS. That said, EF is pretty classic so no earth-shattering changes from prior seasons, right? Yesterday, I got a black puffer vest, black puffer jacket, black long sleeve t-shirt, black tank and black silk sequined dress (from 2011 calendar year acc to rep) for a little over $500 after an additional 20% off!! Can't beat that! Re comments that the sales staff are rude, I cannot say that has been my experience. True, they don't trip over themselves to help you or greet you as they do in retail stores. That said, I have always been asked by a sales rep to start a fitting email and also, they have taken my orders on hold when I asked them to to free my arms. These ladies are so much busier than the retail stores given the high volume of customers and if you watch them, it is an endless cycle of setting up fitting rooms, returning clothes to floor from fitting room and ringing up customers. They always give honest feedback in the fitting rooms to customers seeking guidance. Given the sheer volume, they can't give the same undivided attention the retail store does when the help to customer ratio is 4:1. The staff here is pleasant albeit very over worked and perhaps reserved in their approach to customers. Believe me, having shopped at Beacon Hill and Newbury Street, I have had some moments like the scene in Pretty Woman where the sales rep had the attitude "We don't have your size here..!" I have never had that experience at this EF store. It is a great place to snap up bargains!
