The office did x-rays and scheduled her tooth extraction for the following day. During the visit my daughter's father called me and stated that the receptionist needed to speak with me regarding billing. She stated that we had to pay $106 before leaving the office even though I have a $0 copay and was then told that I would have to pay $1060.00 the following day before they extracted my daughter's tooth. For a tooth extraction??? with insurance????? I explained to the receptionist that Aetna had told me that I don't have to pay anything with my insurance. The receptionist then stated that the claim takes about 4 weeks to clear. So basically they would not do any work on a minor with an infected tooth without getting paid FIRST despite me having dental insurance that fully covered the procedure and visit with no copay. And then charged me an extra $106 that I was not required to pay. I am disgusted at the service we received and would not recommend them to anyone. This is wrong and unethical. It's difficult enough these days to maintain insurance for a family to only then be charged extra. SOUNDS ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!! I will be requesting my $106 back and the Aetna rep even stated that she was equally disgusted that medical professionals could treat people so terribly.

Every time I see her she answers all my questions and always puts my mind at ease. She is so gentle. My one grip with her is she is a little OCD, but I guess you'd want that in a dentist, she wants her work to be as flawless as possible so I can't really complain even though these are some long appointments!
