I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Dentistry for Children in Clifton, NJ,…read moreconcerning my daughter's braces removal and subsequent service to remove stains left by the braces. Initially, I was informed that the stain removal service would cost $1050 but that I would only have to pay $105 after insurance. I was hesitant due to the fact this was considered cosmetic. I verified this amount multiple times: with the office staff who checked with my insurance companies, the insurance person in the office, and even directly with Dr. Sultan, who reassured me that $105 was the total I would owe. I even confirmed when we returned for the service. However, two weeks after the service was performed, I received a bill for $325.90 When I called the office, they informed me that this was the balance after insurance had paid, meaning I was now out of pocket $430.90 for a service I didn't really want but was CONVINCED to get because they ASSURED me insurance would cover the majority of the cost. After going back and forth with the office I offered to PAY HALF of the unexpected bill, which I thought was FAIR, the office REFUSED, and they are now charging me interest on the outstanding amount. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and feels very misleading. I strongly advise others to be very cautious with this office and Dr Sultan and ensure all costs are clearly outlined and confirmed before agreeing to any additional services. I feel like I was robbed.

If you got kids that need some dental work, look no further. I accompanied my sister and her kids to his new office in New Jersey the other day. So THIS is a modern dentist's office looks like! A Wii station for kids in the waiting room. Colorful prints, murals, and canvases on the walls. Even personal LCD panels at each dentists station so you can get your Netflix fix on while you're getting your teeth fixed. My my old dentists office, we were just happy when we got a kids toothbrush. How times have changed. They've also stocked the office with the latest dental equipment and technology--new cleaning tools, digital x-rays, and comfortable chairs for the patients. This office is in a word, amazing. If you have kids that need a good cleaning, check out P&C. It'll be well worth your visit.

I've learned about this pediatric dentist, the one and only Dr. Hernandez, through Dr. Kashkin's,…read morewhich office is right across her in the same bldg. My son is in the spectrum and we've been introduced to her staff and we immediately made an appointment within the same week. Super accommodating and they truly care for our child and so as to their families. Even during this pandemic my son will put his mask on for a little bit and will give us a hard time getting his temperature but due to his condition they don't force it upon him whenever something environmental is triggering his response. We are fortunate to learn about this place, it's so timely bec our family dentist doesn't know how to deal with kids like him. We had to come back a bit often but it's so worth it. We started pre-pandemic that our son doesn't want to even get inside her clinic, her approach is highly commendable, she went out, got to know him, baby steps, then from there to now that he sits comfortably in the check up chair letting her go through his mouth opening wide for her to see all his teeth. It's a year of some practice at home and going there like every 2 or 3 months. She didn't just specialize on dentistry and behavioral background, she knows where we are coming from straight from home with her own experiences with her family esp having the same kid as mine. It not all about teeth, its about how getting things better in life in general. This year is the 1st time my son who just turned 6 blew his own cake candle, he didn't do that for 5 years, sounds easy for other kids but on our case everything is a bit backed. Office alone, wait time is pretty short, systematic reminding via email or text which can be conveniently confirmed with a single letter response and when we happen to call to front desk, they pick up right away. Aesthetic, it's sensory friendly 100 percent. We are truly grateful to everyone we came across to reach at this point, as Dr. Kashkin first described her to us, the wonderful dentist for kids, I say indeed.
