One thing about me is that I absolutely love sweets, so I couldn't resist stopping by this candy…read morestore as I passed by. First off, I have to give a shoutout to the owner--he was incredibly friendly and even let my girlfriend sample some fudge. The store had an endless variety of both new and old-school candies to choose from. They even had this really cool jelly bean machine with a wide assortment of flavors to bag up. Before leaving, I made sure to grab some treats to share with my family too! I can't wait to come back in the summer to see what new goodies they'll have.

Or...perhaps even for the days when you are? Maybe it's ice cream in town and candy back at the vacation rental. Sweet Haven ticks all the boxes: various small candy in bulk; taffy in bulk; old-fashioned packaged candy; higher-end chocolates; Jelly Bellys; and of course FUDGE. It's a dangerous and delightful place. I'm not sure about the prices. This stuff *seems* expensive, but since you don't buy an armload of candy very often (do you??), it's hard to tell. So just go ahead and treat yourself (and your kids I guess, but mostly you, because sugar is bad for kids) and see whether you can make it last beyond the journey home at the end of the trip.

Sticky Fingers is what happens when Willy Wonka decides to open a candy shop and goes completely…read moreover the top. The second you walk in, you're hit with a rainbow explosion of color, giant candy displays, floating hot air balloons, vintage treats, quirky décor, and enough sugar to convince your inner child that being an adult is overrated. Every inch of this place is begging for a photo, and honestly, your camera roll will leave with more memories than your wallet. The candy selection is ridiculous in the best way. International sweets, nostalgic favorites, novelty sodas, mystery candy boxes, giant lollipops, and the kind of treats you forgot existed until they magically appeared in front of you. I'm also convinced the owner has an entire warehouse dedicated to storing all the incredible seasonal decorations because the attention to detail is next level. If you think it's cute now, wait until Halloween or Christmas. They somehow manage to outdo themselves every season, turning the whole store into a magical, over the top wonderland that's worth visiting even if you don't buy a single piece of candy. I came in thinking I'd spoil my little grandchildren, dropped over $40.00 and left questioning every financial decision I made that day. Sticky Fingers is pure nostalgia wrapped in a sugar rush with a side of organized chaos. Bring your wallet cuz you're gonna want to buy the whole store.
