My Co-op in Huntington Village was hard hit by Hurricane Isaias. We had 3 giant trees come down in the storm: 1 wrecked our new fence and crushed our new patio set, a second tree from the other side of our fence crashed into a third tree in our courtyard and both giants smashed into our building, causing a hole in our roof while both hung dangerously above our walkway and building entrance, threatening further damage and posing a major safety hazard. The NEXT DAY @ 9am!!! our property manager, Ronni Osman, showed up with a 4-man crew to remove the trees from the building and spent the entire day working to remove the debris -- all while our region struggled with major damage to roadways and power lines. Even though we only signed with them 1 year ago and nobody even hoped to get anyone to come to do tree work in the aftermath of this regional devastation, Ronni Osman of Einsidler Management saw the extent of our damage and put us at the top of the list to get us help. (We're a small property [only 26 units] & they manage over a hundred properties.) The crew returned again over the next several days and completely repaired the roof (it looks better than new!), cleared the remaining debris and made repairs to our fence. The transition to Einsidler from our previous management company of over 20 years met with considerable opposition from some residents, but after this even the die-hards have been converted (the leader of this "opposition faction" even spent hours sitting with our Property Manager during the repairs and heaped the highest accolades on Ronni, Einsidler Mgt. and the crew)! While the building did bring in a plumber, the repair caused additional damage to my brand-new bathroom, leaving me without a ceiling. Four months later, there is still no resolution. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was a resident in Roslyn Gardens for 3 years. I had a psychotic neighbor above me that the board refused to do anything about. The unit did not have proper carpeting (Ray, the head of maintenance checked and confirmed for me). This pissed the homeowner off, causing him to retaliate against me whenever he could. Slamming doors, dropping furniture on the floor, threatening me to come outside and fight him. The list goes on. What did roslyn gardens and Einsidler do? Absolutely nothing. The response I received from the receptionist, Lana Copeta, was that it could go to legal but would take years to settle and I would not want to have those kinds of lawyer fees. They eventually stopped answering emails, phone calls, and refused to talk to the unit upstairs. I put my apartment on the market (I bought a house) and the nonsense continued all throughout my closing. The new receptionist, Kathy, told me I should do anything to jeopardize the sale of my unit. It's been a few months and I just spoke to the woman who purchased my unit, and she told me she's experiencing the same issues with the upstairs unit. I thought it would stop once I left but , once again there is a psycho living there that management refuses to do anything about. Trying to refinance my mortgage and they have some stupid rule about getting re-approved. Fine. They know how to take checks from you for hundreds of dollars for a refinance approval but don't know how to call you back when you have urgent questions in regards to the process. I've been a shareholder for over seven years at one of their properties (Roslyn gardens). The past few years it's impossible to get a response from management and emails/calls and issues get ignored and/or unanswered on a consistent basis (even after multiple follow ups). Most recently, I have had issues with my ceiling cracking showing some water spots and have been told it is my responsibility to fix since water has not officially dripped through so it's considered normal wear and tear. Initially there were only a few cracks isolated to two rooms which I patched up. I am on the top floor. A few weeks ago, our roof was replaced and the cracks spread throughout my apartment and are drastic (which appeared the same days the roof was being repaired). Management told me I had a bad paint job and the issue has nothing to do with the roof being repaired. They did suggest I submit a letter to the board to be reviewed at this months meeting and they can consider covering the repainting and sanding needed. I did that but have yet to receive a response after I know they met and I have followed up. Update: responding to einsidlers comment. Only one person from the property management company was sent to my apartment following this review, i was told a board member would be present. The roofers (experts) have not visited my unit despite my multiple requests to schedule a time where i could also have an expert present. I was told last week that the board would be re-reviewing regardless. I have not yet heard back from the board regarding their decision. read more

I'm so glad that I no longer own/live in the co-op that this company manages. Don't get me wrong, I loved my apartment and the manner in which the building was maintained, however my issue was mostly when it came to dealing with the management staff. Although there is number to call their office, half the time you are only able to leave a voicemail and can never truly get a hold of anybody. The increase in maintenance costs and assessments they impose is a constant thing, which makes it somewhat expensive to live there. They are unresponsive when it comes to responding to complaints . I had an issue with the person who lived above who constantly subleased his apartment to noisy tenants. Every time I spoke to the property manager about this problem, he assured me he would take of it, but never did. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of any properties that Einsidler manages. I decided to sell my unit because it made no sense to pay so much, yet be unsatisfied with so many things. read more

Einsidler managed a complex where I served as President for a number of years. I found them to be responsive, professional, and very effective at their job. Every time a shareholder had an issue, it was handled promptly by the right person at Einsidler. They made my job as President EASY! Highly recommend them as a management company. read more

I'm very disappointed with the customer service for this company. They charged me $36 for delivery of a thumb drive for my client, and when I received it there was no data on it. I was later able to download the data elsewhere, so I no longer need the thumb drive. When I asked them to refund the $36 delivery charge to my client they said no, and gave no explanation why when I asked for one. This is terrible customer service and I hope none of my future clients need to deal with them. read more

They manage the condo complex that I own a unit in (Fairview Condo in Long Island). They never pick up the call and they are horrible. If you send them an email, they don't reply either. You have to keep calling and be nasty in order to be able to speak with someone. I have no idea why my condo association hired such horrible service company to deal with. I've lived in Artist Lake 22 years. Einsidler has had only one property manager in my 22 years that was great, fair and the very best property mg. her name was Jan Angarita. the rest were awful. Einsidler never responds to phone calls, emails or text messages except for Jan Angarita who was asked to step Down this past winter. add in the corrupt FV1 board and its members makes for a terrible combo. Rachel Stadkow of Einsidler held up my sale and closing of my unit. She was supposed to send Einsidler letterhead of the budget, but decided to take a 3 week vacation without completing this work, and or passed it on to someone else to complete. Who does such a thing? there were illegal things going on. the president of FV1 has a 5g colored fountain that no else has. Cameras were Installed by each board member residences. who paid for that? The president paid for security, after there were protests of the said board. There was a resident who lived in filth, caused numerous floods to myself. she was living without water, nor heat. she was dumping urine and feces out by the dumpster. all the while the FV1 board and Einsidler were receiving emails, videos and pics of what was happening, and nothing was done for over a year. Jan angarita stepped up to the plate and took charge. and did the right thing. and then was asked to step down.Her place was finally condemned. I finally sold a few weeks ago. Glad to be gone. Michael Einsidler is a rude, dismissive property manager. He is extremely defensive when any issue arises. This is a family business, so I imagine he is guaranteed a job here, but he does little to earn it, in my opinion. He has been property manager for our co-op community for a year, and is virtually invisible. If he is ever on-site, we never see him walking around to evaluate the needs of our community. If Einsidler Management wishes to continue as our property manager, they should consider assigning a more pro-active, responsive person to oversee our property. I'm the owner in one of the apartments they manage. Former Property Manager (forgot his name) was good and cared about the building. Recent years we have Mike Einsidler. He's good too and quick in responding to requests. Mike treats each resident with respect, listens to shareholders' concerns and has effective communication skills. I found email works best when it's hard to reach by phone. For my building, both the Property Manager and Super are good, they work hard to create a better living environment for all. read more

I am a Share Holder in the Forest Green Co-op Apartments in Islip, NY. Last December I had leaks in my ceiling in my Living Room and Bedroom. Many calls were placed before a temporary patch was made. On Christmas Eve the water was pouring in various spots in my Living Room. Also, at the time my building had no heat or hot water. I was leaving for FL on December 30th and there was no sense of urgency to fix the problem. I gave my sister and niece keys to my apartment to check up. The property manager would yes me to death and continues to do so. While I was away the bedroom leak was repaired along with the living room, so I thought. The first week of July, 2021 I'm sitting in my living room water begins to come through the ceiling where it was "patched" over the winter. Every time it rains it leaks. They have sent a roofer who patches the roof. The roofer's have told me a new roof is needed & they can't do any more patching. They submitted an estimate. Last Monday, August 16, 2021 the property manager finally returned a call saying a new roofing company would come by to take measurements of the roof and would need access to my apartment. She said they would submit an estimate, present the 2 estimates to the board & work would begin in a few days. I have heard nothing since & we're still feeling the effects of Tropical Storm Henri. I left 2 messages yesterday, one at the on site office and one for the property manager, followed up with a email & as I watch water drip through my living room ceiling, I have heard from no one! At the beginning of the Summer the property manager would robo call all residents about not planting our own flowers on the property because they wanted curb appeal & they were concerned with how the property looked like. My living room filled with pots and towels is not pleasing to the eye. As I have read in these reviews most people do no get call backs from their property managers in a timely fashion. That is the case here. This is no way to live! It is disgraceful when I pay my maintenance on time, which contributes to the staffs salary and no one has the decency to return a call. One more thing, to add insult to injury when I was told that the new roofers would be coming to my apartment to take measurements, blah, blah, blah, across the lawn in another building was having it's new roof installed. Totally disrespected as a tenant. There are exorbitant maintenance fees for nothing but nice grounds. Management does not care, is rude and you are on your own. They don't want to be bothered and have no answers if you even get their attention at all. Are directed to a voicemail. You might get lucky and get an answer. In emergencies I have had to call the fire department or police on my own because I can't reach anyone to help. Even the emergency number it's a joke. I hear trying to sell and get out is even worse. Sadly I work very hard for my money and struggle financially. This is a money pit. They hold their board meetings when half of the tenants are in Florida so there is never a quorum to even have discussion or a real board meeting in the last 13 years that I have been here. I am an owner of one of the properties they manage. One of many issues with this mgmt firm is that when you call no one picks up the phone ever. You leave a message and no one returns your call. They also are very short and arrogant when you do finally get to speak with someone. Also, when our property manager is on vacation, there is no back-up. I was told by a receptionist that you call the property manager and leave a message. The property manager checks his messages while he is on vacation. Everyone is entitled to a vacation. I'm a shareholder in a building that has been managed by them since January 2015. Our property manager is Marsi Butow and honestly I don't know how she is qualified as a property manager. She doesn't know anything about managing a building and told me herself when I alerted her about a critical repair that she needed to discuss it first with the board and get their permission to take care of it. I told her that every manager we've had before her would have deferred to the Proprietary Lease and sent the offending shareholder a "Notice to Cure," and there was no need to wait 30 days until the next Board meeting to discuss a critical repair that is already clearly stipulated in the Proprietary Lease and her response was, "Well I've never done this before." Our first Shareholders meeting she arrived 15 minutes late and just started speaking without ever introducing herself. No one knew who she was because they had never seen her before outside of the board members. She hardly ever visits the property and delegates many of her responsibilities to committees of volunteers that she sets up at the building. I should seriously send Einsidler my resume. I at least have a valid real estate license and would love to get paid for delegating 90% of my job responsibilities to residents. read more

Shannon said she didn't care if the police received the video footage from the date I requested. I emailed the owner Don Einsidler and he hasn't responded either. Anybody that has any responsibility to this property do not care about residents complaints. Our laundry room machines are constantly breaking down, vehicles with no plates or registrations are parked for MONTHS on end. When brought to management attention, nothing is done. We had approximately 10 superintendents in the 19 years I've been here. We have a superintendent now that was supposed to disinfect the laundry room 2x day since last year due to Covid 19, yet the laundry room is filthy constantly and you can tell it wasn't cleaned let alone disinfected. I live in one of the buildings in Great Neck, NY that they manage. For the most part I have had issues with the building and my apt., but I'm not the kind of person to complain. So I let it go and did not bother bringing it up with them. But this cold season, they decided to put a new control board on the building heating system. So for the most of the cold days so far this year I haven't had heat in my apt and it is constantly 62-65 degrees in my apt., day or night. I tried to call them a few times, but I was able to talk to my building manager once. And she told me they are doing some adjustments to the new board. But it is taking more than two weeks in cold weather with no heat. And to make the matter even worse, she says she can't give me a time as when it will be fixed. She says the heat is not broken, it works, so there is no problem. But when I don't feel any heat in my radiators, to me it IS broken. I live in a good neighborhood and pay huge maintenance just to avoid this kind of mismanagement. I just don't think it's fair not to have heat in the winter and they can't even tell you when the heat will be back on. read more

This review is about Scott the super that works at Forest Green in Islip NY that Einsidler Manages. Scott has cussed out some elderly ladies that live on the property. He has taken money from people to do a side job and then never did the job. Scott has made people wait hours and even days for heat because he doesn't know what to do. He has started jobs in peoples co-op's months ago and they are still not completed and they are not done the correct way. But if one of the board members need something like heat or hot water he goes running. We pay our maintenance just like they do and we should be entitled to have our stuff fixed to. He has made some of the females that live and work on the property feel uncomfortable to be around him. He bad mouths the people he works with to the board members and shareholders and then turns around and bad mouths the board members to the workers and shareholders. He is very disrespectful to some of the women on the property and I don't know how the Board and Bob who is his boss from Einsidler think this behavior is acceptable. Scott is arrogant and very unprofessional and he is a liar. Calling and female a cunt, fucken bitch or yelling at someone that asked for his help that you are fucking working is not acceptable. People should feel comfortable where they live. They should not have to worry about retaliation from there super if they complain about him because some how he seems to find out everything. The grounds are run(super) by a yes man who diverts his eyes from anything that might protect the owners. I own a condo in Middle Island, in the fairview community at artist lake, and I am ABSOULUTLEY DISGUSTED with the management staff. There are several issues that I am extemely unhappy with. First off, they have ripped all of our beautiful flowers and bushes out of our beds, back in October. It is now June, and they have not planted a single thing or maintained it in any way it look so horrible and depressing like a foreclosure Yet I AM PAYING THEM CLOSE TO 500 a month FOR WHAT ?! NO FLOWERS, NO POOL! When my husband called to check the satus of the Plantings for the flower beds a very sarcastic person answered the phone and said "NO, they have no plans of doing anything" and then said "just joking", this is'nt a joke I am not lauging! She basically told us they would Mulch eventually, if they had enough money in the budget .... so I am getting MULCH?! NO FLOWERS?! Now that I took it upon myself to spruce up my place I hung a beautiful bird feeder with NO feed in it, just to make the place look a little happier, within less then 24hrs I had a notice on my door saying I needed to take it down, I replaced it with a wind chime, that was also apparently a violation yet the people up stairs from me have had a wind chime for months and they have not recieved a notice. THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE CONCERNED WITH DURING A PANDEMIC?! Making people who pay you A LOT of money EXTREMELY UNHAPPY. They are horribly unorganized, last year they told me I was missing a month of home owner's association fees, but they could not tell me what month I was missing and demanded that I show proof of bank statements, these people are CROOKS and are very UNQUALIFIED for the job.
