In response to above posts from Mike and Leah D.: My name is Matt, I was the photographer for Leah's wedding. Let me start off by saying congratulations to both the bride and the groom on your marriage and pregnancy. It has been my pleasure to work with Sam and the rest of his employees at Eivan's. He is a man with pride and passion for his work and demands excellence for his clients. I have on several occasions seen Sam go above and beyond for his clients to ensure their happiness. I photograph weddings because it is what I love to do... I am dedicated to capturing all of the right moments and preserving these precious memories forever. I have shot over 30 weddings this season alone and all of the Brides have been thrilled with their images, as well as my character during the event. I would have thought Leah's wedding to be no different. Before I left the event for the day; Leah gave me a hug and Mike thanked me for being such a great guy. When I read this post, I was simply shocked. Thank God we live in a country that allows us freedom of speech, giving us the right to share our opinions in forums such as this. However, there is a difference between an opinion, a statement of fact, and a lie. If you were unhappy with the images taken at your wedding, you have that right to say that... that is your opinion. If you did not think I was nice, or did a good job as a general statement, you have the right to say that... that is your opinion. You cannot say I didn't call you... that is a lie... I did call you. You cannot say that it is only because you called me that I knew where to be and at what time. I knew exactly where to be and at what time. I called you to confirm this, and I was early to the event. I was scheduled to start at 9:45am and my first picture was taken at 9:41am. You cannot say that I didn't take pictures of you with your bridesmaids, or your groom with his groomsmen... I did. All of the "simple shots" you said I missed were captured, they are sharp and well exposed. Stating that I missed these shots is a complete lie. If you remember correctly Leah, it was you that arrived late to the banquet hall, it was you that was having a panic attack and didn't want your pictures taken when you arrived. Yet, I still took pictures of you with your bridesmaids around you trying to calm you down. Was I supposed to interrupt you and pose your bridesmaids around you in the middle of that? I think not. Leah and Mike, I want you both to know that I really do wish you the best, but I am deeply frustrated that you would make such lies about my work for some unknown reason, personal gain or otherwise... it doesn't matter... these are slanderous remarks. Mike, your remarks about Eivan's "squeezing blood from this turnip" is unwarranted. You are willing to make slanderous remarks about a man that has spent most of his life to build his business, attack my work, and yet you are the victim? It is clear that your purpose in this post is to steer business away from Eivan's. You mention your struggling family, do you think the people at Eivan's don't have a families? I chose Eivan's from the knot after comparing packages & pricing to other companies & they had the better pricing overall. Peter did our engagement pics & was great to work with. We got some great pics overall & we ended up using him as our 2nd photographer for our wedding. Marlenne was the main photographer I had chosen, but they originally had assigned Peter as our main one & it was kind of frustrating trying to call them & go back & forth to get the person I had chosen as the main photographer. The communication wasn't as straight forward or easy as I thought it should have been, but eventually I was able to get it switched & have Marlenne as the main & Peter as the secondary. In all of the chaos of the wedding day I had forgotten to print out my shot list so we were completely winging it. With those circumstances, I was trusting Marlenne and our videographer, Mario, to really guide me & I think they did great overall as a team. Looking back I do wish we had gotten my bridal portraits taken outside along the water & not just in the tiny bridal suite. Our venue had a beautiful lake front view & I wish our photographer would have had us take bridal portraits out there at some point. Granted, it was a very chaotic day & our venue was supposed to provide us with a day of coordinator who also should have been there & on top of this stuff, as it shouldn't all be on the bride, so maybe it's not completely on the photography, but it is still a disappointment. I am at the point where I'm planning a day to go back to my venue and take portraits which I shouldn't be having to do given the amount of money spent on photographers who should have maybe suggested it. There were definitely a few missed photos with my mom and MIL as well, but I know it was a very chaotic afternoon (largely due to my venue not letting us arrive early enough to decorate and lack of a day of coordinator until the hour before the actual wedding to step in and help guide us on photos). I am excited to see what we got, however, as we did get a gorgeous sunset and Marlenne was great at capturing some sweet pics of my husband and I post ceremony. Overall, I did like working with Marlenne, Peter, and Mario and think the pics and video will be good when we get them, just looking back maybe it would have been nice to have gotten some more variety of settings for the pre ceremony pictures since the location was so beautiful on the water. I know they had me sign a document at the end of the night before they leave stating they got everything photographed, but it is definitely hard to okay that as the bride on already such a chaotic day/night to fully know what all was taken. One thing to note, maybe have future clients be required to send a shot list with names and locations? That may help people not end up in my situation of not having their shot list on hand the day of. Update: after getting our picture samples back, I did not receive proper bridal portraits (only 4 and all of the back of my dress:() Thankfully, after speaking with Eivan's they are kindly allowing me to have a photo session free of charge to go back to my venue and recreate my bridal portraits as they should have been done on the wedding day. I was not expecting this from them and am very grateful for them making right of this situation. read more

This was the kind post that I left less than an hour ago, which Eivan's already tried to dispute: "I feel that I have been EXTREMELY understanding throughout this entire process, but unfortunately, once I finally received my photos, they all had watermarks on them and customer service told me that I can't download them until 90 days from now. My wedding was 11/02/20 and I received my photos today 12/11/20. I understand from a business perspective that they want people to purchase photos, but my package came with my photos included, so I really don't understand why I have to wait an ADDITIONAL 3 months for the photos I've already bought. It's very disheartening and although I have reached out, I am not expecting very much from their customer service. They don't make exceptions for anything and basically just tell you to suck it up, in the most "professional" way possible :) I'm 99.9% positive that their response to me on here is going to be the exact same as every other response they've given to anyone who was upset, clearly showing that they couldn't care less. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the photographer did her job and the photos came out nice, but this company is a complete joke and I would not recommend them to anyone. They pull you in with the "low" prices and then screw you over at every turn." Now, I am going to be much more harsh. This company is a lie, a fake, a phony, COMPLETELY UNETHICAL, and NOT cheap unless you're willing to wait almost half a year to receive photos of the happiest day of your life. They rope newly engaged couples in with their seemingly cheap pricing and then charge you $500 to "rush" the download of photos you've already purchased. In my package it says: "Complete set of copyright released edited images delivered within 30 days from event expiration date on Eivan's website". To me, this was very misleading and completely UNCLEAR in saying "YOU MUST WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 90 DAYS TO DOWNLOAD YOUR PHOTOS". So I can view them and share the gallery with my friends and family, but I can't download them until almost 6 months after my wedding. FREAKING AWESOME. Also, on top of the fact that they've wasted no time in disputing my review on Wedding Wire, their website says not to trust Yelp because the reviews are unreliable. THAT'S BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER BAD REVIEWS LIKE THEY DO ELSEWHERE. THIS IS THE TRUTH, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Yelp even warns you that they've used legal threats to quiet bad reviews.... DISGUSTING. PLEASE..... I urge you to spend the extra money and to hire an actual photographer who will take care of you. My only regret of all the decisions I made regarding my wedding was Eivan's. Update: They are trying to charge me a random $799 fee labeled as a "change fee" when I have made no changes to anything. read more

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. I can say with 100% honesty that Eivan's Photography is a quality business with quality people. I recently recieved my albums from my wedding on June 22, 2008, and I am absolutely thrilled! My albums came out beautifully, and Eivan's met every hope and expectation that I had for my wedding. In fact, my sister-in-law was so impressed by Eivans and our photographer, Matt, in particular, that she is planning on using Eivan's for her upcoming wedding this next year. Eivan's is very professional. They explain their procedures, payment plans, and how everything will work very clearly. They are upfront about everything, and if you go with them you will know exactly what to expect on the day of your wedding. They are very reasonably priced as well. What impressed me most about Eivan's was the fact that they mailed me a packet of info with a form that I filled out asking me specifically what pictures I wanted them to be sure to take. Matt called me a few days before the big day to review this form. On the day of our wedding, Matt made sure that he took each and every one of those pictures. He asked me many times if I was satisfied before leaving at the end of the night. He was very talented and even took some pictures we had not planned. These pictures, in the garden area, were very creative and ended up being my husband and I's favorite pictures from the entire day. Matt and his new wife were both friendly and professional. It was obvious that they really cared about the quality of their work and they truely cared about doing the best job for us that they could possibly do. Matt fulfilled every part of the contract including phone calls and being on time. He made everyone feel comfortable. It did not feel like he was a hired photographer, he felt like one of us. Everyone involved in the planning of the wedding and many guests kept telling my husband and I days later how impressed they were with Eivan's. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WITHOUT THINKING TWICE ABOUT IT. They are fair and they care very much about the quality of their work. They always said that they just wanted us to be HAPPY with what they provided us, and my husband and I truely were! I can not imagine anyone being dissatisfied with their work, and I would seriously question the judgement of anyone who is. Unfortunately there will always be someone who likes to cause trouble, but the truth is Eivan's (Sam and Matt) are honest, good people who provide a lovely experience and even lovelier photographs of your wedding. My DJ was the person who recommended me to Eivans and she told me that in all the years she has worked weddings, Eivans is the best photographers she has had contact with. In case any of you are too naive to understand why this place doesn't have 1 star, it's because if you write a 1-star or 2-star review, they will sue you. They will also bribe you to write a 5-star review. None of these reviews are admissible. If you don't believe me, go ahead and actually read their contract. Not only will they sue you, they will threaten to delete your photos before you get them, or if you already got them, they will threaten to post the unflattering pictures of you online if you post a bad review. This fat POS guy named Sam is the manager, if you show him you don't care about being sued, he'll curse you out over the phone. If anyone is wondering what happen with us, our camera lady never took video even though we paid for it. (The camera lady was rude by the way. She kept getting aggravated and murmuring polish under her breath and it was obvious she was cursing us. She yelled at my entire family during the family photo because we were goofing off and ENJOYING OUR WEDDING. It got really awkward when she yelled and now you can see the awkward smiles with the awkward fearful eyes in our family wedding photo. We had numerous guests actually come up to us and say "I'm sorry you're photographer was such a jerk!" How embarrassing... When we told Sam he told us we were lying and called us leeches.) When we asked for a refund, they yelled at us and kicked us out of their office. We threatened to sue but we couldn't because we signed their contract which says we have to go through their long drawn out arbitration system which costs thousands to go through (stupid us, u can be spared, don't sign their contract!). We then threatened to write a review and they invited us back. They threatened to sue and to post some not so flattering pictures of us getting ready. So I'm posting this review, because I'm not going to be bullied. You're move Sam. In case you think, "Naa, I'll be the lucky one and not have these problems" or "This is just one bad review", when we first went in, we went in late during closing, there was a couple coming down from the stairs that were being yelled at by the owner Sam. So dumb of us to think we'll be fine. That's what they do, first part of the day they schedule all the nice new customers, other part of the day or weekend when new customers aren't around, it's all couples they're yelling at and threatening. The MAJORITY of people who go through here are disappointed, screwed, and/or sued. It's your wedding day, don't take the chance, their actual photos come out like crap, don't even believe the albums they show you. And pay attention folks, you'll see one star reviews of them pop up here from time to time and they will be deleted the next day because they get called and threatened. read more

Our Nightmare Experience with Eivans Photography Our experience with Eivans Photography was a disaster from start to finish. The salesperson was completely deceptive and failed to disclose numerous fees upfront. For instance, I requested the unedited pictures and videos, only to find out that each one costs $1,600--a detail conveniently left out during the sales call. The quality of the deliverables was shockingly poor. The photos lacked any sense of composition, were severely overexposed, and most of them were out of focus. Out of the 800 pictures delivered, maybe 20 were usable. The video was even worse, featuring bizarre angles and focusing unnecessarily on things like my dad's bald spot during the ceremony. The "HD" video quality promised in the contract turned out to be 1080p at 30fps, which looked pixelated and cheap when played on a 4K TV. To make matters worse, they provided access to a gallery where all the photos were watermarked. They informed us that we'd have to wait four months for the unwatermarked pictures or pay a $1,000 fee to access them earlier. This was infuriating, especially since it likely required more effort to add the watermarks in the first place. When I reached out to customer service, they immediately became defensive, citing the contract and claiming I had agreed to all of these terms. While some aspects, like the "HD" video, were mentioned in the contract, there was no disclosure of the hidden fees or the arbitrary waiting period for the unwatermarked photos. After several back-and-forth emails, they simply stopped responding--five of my emails went unanswered over two weeks. When I mentioned the possibility of a credit card chargeback, they suddenly responded, copying their legal team and threatening me with additional fees. They later offered to waive the $1,000 fee for the unwatermarked photos, but only if I signed a legal agreement forbidding me from leaving negative reviews on any platform or social media. I refused and told them I'd rather wait the four months than give them another cent. Eivans Photography operates like a scam company with predatory tactics, hidden fees, inflated prices, and subpar quality. It's hard to imagine how anyone working for them can sleep at night. Save yourself the headache and hire someone else. read more

It is coming up to my first year anniversary and I made a promise to Sam that I would continue to proclaim my love for their services and dedication to my needs as their client. Sam was initially very professional when we first met him. The details and specifics of the contract were his number one priority. It was his intent to make sure we understood all that was included in our package and I greatly appreciated his attention to detail. Once the business aspect was concluded and we made our decision to hire Eivan's to document the most important day of our life, the relationship quickly turned into a partnership. The engagement session was set up and we were blessed to have worked with one of their photographers, Bill. Bill is not only an incredible addition to the Evian's team, he was exactly the personality that we were looking for. His humor and ability to connect with us almost instantly was comforting. The wedding consisted of 300 people from all walks of life and the last thing I wanted was someone with NO personality. Sam was able to schedule Bill to capture not only our engagement session but also our wedding day. Sam was always available when I started getting nervous about the details of planning a large wedding. When it came down to just one week before the wedding, I requested for a second photographer to be added. I was concerned that with the amount of people that responded I would not have all the pictures I wanted. At this point in the game, the extra money was worth it. Sam was able to schedule a second photographer, Matt, to meet at the church. My trust in Eivan's is clear when I contracted not only two photographers but their videographer, Vic. The Evian's family was able to capture 2000 pictures of our wedding day that we continue to get compliments about one year later. Our video was absolutely amazing! Their dedication to the photography profession and the professional yet personal manner in which they run their business is hands down what we signed up for. I continue to spread the word of Eivan's with nothing but sincerest satisfaction. I will be contacting them when it is time to capture the second most important part of my life, my children. Hands down Evian's photo and video are the BEST service out there take it from me because I searched from A to Z looking for good services and many imposters appeared in my email wanted to reach deep in my pockets but I was just another wedding to them...another meal ticket! Shatha H, at Evian's said WHAT she was going to do and did WHAT she said!!! Every dime I spent was well worth it! Their services exceeded my expectations and I didn't have to stay on top of them because Evian's sent me one videographer and one photographer name Matthew and Jamy who were awesome, I mean awesome!!!! They made my wedding epic and exciting and exceptional....Professional to the highest power! My guess loved them and believe me my friends are tough on people but Matthew and Jamy treated my wedding with respect like they were doing it for their own parents... Ask yourself who does that....for most people it's just a job...not at Evian's!!!!!!! At Evian's you're family! Eivan's Photo, Inc. was a fantastic choice for our wedding and we would highly recommend working with Daniel and Anthony after our experiences with them. It is often hard to find companies that are willing to work within the constraints of a small, non-traditional wedding, but Eivan's came through for us in a big way. We kept our wedding small and mostly informal with just 15 family members (no wedding party) at a local historic garden, but wanted to capture the day with candid photos, family portraits, and some creative bridal shots. Daniel (Danny) was our sales representative, and he was able to work with us to create a custom 4-hour photography package that fit our needs at a great price point for our small budget. Throughout the six months after booking we received multiple polite check-ins from the company that reminded us about payment schedules, photo checklists, and a selection of available photographers and their portfolios. We ended up choosing Anthony as our photographer after reviewing his portfolio and we could not have been happier with his professionalism, attitude, and creativity! Anthony arrived on time, was incredibly polite, and blended in with our small wedding crowd so well he felt like a part of the family. We gave him free rein to capture candid photos and he used the small garden and museum backdrops to his full advantage for some very creative shots. My husband and I are a little camera shy, but he made the entire experience enjoyable and we felt like we were a part of the creative photography process as we guided him to some of our favorite historic spots nearby for photos. Normally the editing process takes 3-6 weeks, but we actually received our photos in less than 2 weeks via a gallery. It was amazing how many beautiful photos Anthony was able to capture in the short four hours he was with us. Our family and friends who were not in attendance cannot stop talking about how the photos made them feel like they were there with us on our wedding day! We chose to hire Eivan's to capture our special day because I have seen the work they have done with previous family member's weddings as well as friends'. I really appreciated their thoroughness, patience, professionalism, attentiveness to detail, and their creativity amongst many other important items. Before booking Eivan's I did my fair share of shopping around and I was very honest with Sam when meeting with him. I told him what my findings were, and he created a custom package to make me happy at no additional charge. The fact that he was willing to do whatever it took to make us happy really made me feel comfotable in our decision. I knew it wasn't just talk because he was able to deliver for previous weddings, and I had no doubt that he'd be able to deliver again. Besides, they've been in business for several years making bride and grooms happy on their special day. Victor was our videographer and Bill was our photographer and they did a wonderful job. They had great personalities and we were very comfortable with them and it was very clear that they had a genuine passion for their job. Best of all, they did not get in our way for one moment. It was as if they weren't even there, yet they still got over 800 pictures. WOW!! My albums came out gorgeous and my dvds are just awesome. My family watched the dvd twice within the first few hours of receiving the dvd. Our Thank you cards turned out awesome, and our engagement pictures were absolutely amazing. Bill had some really great ideas and he was so laid back and was open to our ideas as well. The day of the wedding we went downtown and took several pictures in several different locations. Again, Bill and his ideas were just great. My husband and I had a really hard time picking which pictures we wanted in the album because we loved all of them. We were very happy with the end results. They did an excellent job at capturing all the details of the wedding and their special effects were a great touch. I don't regret my decision to go with Eivan's for one second. 10/10 recommend. Our experience with Eivan's was smooth from start to finish. Our wedding consultant Sarah was great at explaining the process and ensuring we would have a photographer 3 weeks before our wedding since a previous photographer bailed on us last minute. Eivan's saved our wedding from being postponed or having to forfeit having pictures of our special day. Our photographer Marc was professional and a delight to have with us throughout the day and into our dinner reception. Marc was knowledgeable and captured my vision of not just traditional photos but also amazing candids that let our personalities truly shine. Jay, one of the wedding specialists, assisted me over the phone and happily went over the gallery and purchasing options in a way I could understand without being impatient and telling me to just read the contract like other companies do. I have anxiety making phone calls and this was such a pleasant experience. I am positive any of their amazing photographers will do an exceptional job based on their bios and portfolios. We had such a hard time choosing just one photographer. I recommend Eivan's especially for any bride with a short timeline like I did. Their professionalism took so much stress off our plate. We will absolutely utilize Eivan's for future photography needs. Also, they were surprisingly more affordable than most of the recommended photographers on most wedding sites/blogs which offer far less coverage hours or charge extra for multiple locations. I was able to capture our wedding party's preparation at 2 different hotels, our ceremony, separate family portraits and our dinner reception where other photographers were charging extra even though all locations were in proximity of each other. We can't wait to share our photos! Looking at our gallery brings back the feelings of our wedding day. Regardless of any stress of that day (because whatever could go wrong did go wrong) we have these beautiful photos that captured all the love and joy of our wedding. This was such a great investment. I had a great realistic experience...I absolutely loved working with Eivans. I met Sam Jalouga in the beginning and asked a lot of questions. You have to ask! He was very kind open and honest about expectations. He cared about my opinions, he was patient and really catered to me. Eivans exceeded my expectations overall...If I had a concern they addressed it, most people just complain before trying to take care of things. They went out of their way to work with me when I wanted to change things around...Eivans was affordable compared to other companies and offered a great package before Valentines day.... My friends paid 3xs the amount I did...If I could post ALL of my pics on yelp and everyone could see how fabulous and hardworking the photographers/videographer really were, I would say hands down NO REGRETS...We would do it ALL OVER AGAIN! They captured honest loving beautiful moments. I had 2 photographers and 1 videographer for 10+ hours. When you have 1800 pics to choose from and hammer them down to the top 500 (so hard to do)you realize how amazing they did. In fact they went out of thier way for me and drove me and my father to my wedding (limo driver got pulled over and searched and never made it) They cared about my wellbeing and my photo opportunities! Now after it was all over, it took a long time to get the photos but that is to be expected. I can't describe the service Sam and his staff provided me when I needed something. The quality of the pictures were amazing, my FLUSHED album was worth every pretty penny. I will never have that day back but it was Eivans that gave me my memories to last a lifetime. Thank you Eivans especially SAM, I love looking at my photos over and over again. PS the MOSAIC is the coolest beautiful piece I have ever seen. Brides you need to look at what they offer...remember no matter who you go to, its up to you to set the expectations and tell everyone what you want...what type of pics (candid moments, family, objects, poses, etc) Speak up you only have one chance to get it right for great memories...and Eivans listens and acts if you say something! read more

When my wife (fiancée back then) and I are looking for our wedding photo options, we face two primary constraints: 1. the wedding date is close (in one month) 2. our budget is limited. On the other hand, we don't want to compromise the quality of wedding photos because they are the lasting memories of our big day. After we signed the contract, we only have three weeks left. Our assigned photograher Dorin quickly followed up with us to discuss the details, our preferences and his style. On our wedding day, Dorin arrived one hour earlier than the contracted start time in my fiancée's hotel to prepare setup and took many detailed shots. After taking photos for the bride's preparations, we were supposed to go to the wedding venue at noon to take groom getting ready photo. But because of delay on my part, I arrived one hour later. While Dorin can surely use this time to relax (because its my fault), he made himself busy by taking many pictures of the wedding venue. And he managed to squeeze time from us for photos while keeping the schedule on track. Dorin offered fun suggestions and kept cheering for us. He would lie down or climb a tree just to get a good shot. After the wedding is over, my wife, family, and friends are all impressed with Evian's and our photographer Dorin for his professionalism (we asked him several times to take some time to eat but he didn't) and passion.
