Loved Agave Mexican in Marshall, VA! Low-key, unpretentious and yummy food! Beautiful weather to have lunch on the patio. Situated on busy road with a gravel parking lot, but still a nice rural environment for us city-folk! Wonderful service by Victor! 5 stars all around!

This Texas girlie was highly impressed by this restaurant. I walked in and felt right at home... the colors, sounds and smells were everything I'm used to seeing at traditional Mexican restaurants and given that DC has been quite disappointing with foreign food, my heart was quite happy to be here. First of all, this was the first place I noticed with refried beans on the menu since I got here a month ago. Secondly, the sauces on the windows just about warmed my ice cold heart. Thirdly, the food was seasoned well, cooked to perfection and had quite big portions. My friend and I kept eating way past when we should have. We meant to take leftovers home but had nothing left to take home and had to roll ourselves out of the restaurant. I got the Huevos Con Chorizo which had two scrambled eggs with Mexican sausage, Spanish rice, refried beans and tortillas - it was delightful! He got the El Agave Special with had One tamale, two taquitos mexicanos (chicken and beef), one nacho chip with beans, one with chicken, one with rice and one with beef, with cheese on all four. Served with lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and tomatoes - all for only $17.29. We started with a free chips and salsa (which was also yum) and washed it down with a potent margarita. This was such good food and very reminiscent of home. I would go there again in a heartbeat and highly, highly recommend it. Staff were also super friendly.

Soooo good! We will be back! Maybe tomorrow! Came back two days later, loved it again. We like sitting on the deck. Great service, amazing salsa, hot fresh authentic Mexican!

This is a hidden gem! If you're apple picking out west, visit this small local-owned restaurant on your way back. The chips were warm and dip was SPICY!! The food was good and authentic. Service was slow and there was no soap in the bathroom. Overall, very good

Went there for the first time since my partner kept telling me how great it was. Horrible food and drinks. First and last time there.

You can pseudo tandem park in the lot, as the other sections seem to be filled with vehicles from the auto shop. The menu offers tacos, pupusas, quesadillas, tortas, tamales, burritos, soups, and grilled platters. We ordered: +carne asada tacos - the meats were a little dried out and didn't have much marinade or seasoning on them; adding hot sauce didn't really help, either +elote tamale - this was actually cold and super stiff; not sure if it's been pre-made and sitting out for a while +chicken tamale - this was actually filled with seasoned and tasty chicken, and good with the hot sauce; but, the masa was also more on the stiff side and seemed to have just been reheated Staff here are friendly and welcoming. Once you order, you can dine-in at one of the tables in the back, and then pay up at the front once you're finished. I'm glad I was able to give this place a try, but wouldn't return. +flavorless carne asada tacos +reheated, cold tamales +friendly service +pseudo tandem parking

Taqueria Guadalajara has a bit of a tucked away location just on the outskirts of Winchester,…read morewhich gives it that standalone, local spot feel. While having its own building is a plus, parking can quickly become a headache during busy hours, so timing your visit makes a difference. Walking in, there wasn't a host present, which made the entrance feel a little unorganized at first. However, a server quickly stepped in and pointed us in the right direction. From there, the experience improved the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which helped set a positive tone for the meal. The burrito was the highlight. It came out well prepared with solid flavor throughout, even though it didn't include any sides. Normally, that might feel like something is missing, but the taste was good enough to carry the dish on its own. Pricing leans a bit on the higher side, which is something to keep in mind, especially given the lack of extras. Overall, Taqueria Guadalajara delivers where it matters most good flavor and friendly service even if it has a few logistical hiccups like parking and the initial lack of greeting. It's the kind of place that leaves you debating between a 4 and a 5, but the quality of the food ultimately pushes it into 5-star territory

Salsa continues to be delicious (albeit punishing the next day), and of my three tacos, carnitas was the only one to write home about. Pescado was fishy (not in the good way), and the al pastor was, again, just okay. Pointed out my chipped water glass to the server, who was apologetic and promptly replaced it. Best tacos in the area continue to be Los Altos de Jalisco in Winchester. I said what I said.
