    Fajitas for 2

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the broader DMV. Vibe: 10/10 - exactly what you'd want from a Mexican restaurant and I wouldn't change it! Service:10/10 - everyone here is so kind Fajitas for 2: 10/10 - incredibly large portion; we always have leftovers for lunch the next day. Love the combo of meats and the meats and veggies are always cooked to perfection. I get corn tortillas while my fiancé gets flour, and it comes with 2 portions of rice, beans, and salad. Overall: 10/10 (5/5)

EVW is a favorite of my daughter when my wife and I visit her. This particular Friday night we dropped by to find the dining room almost full except for a corner booth with our name on it. We were promptly seated and got our drinks ordered. My daughter claims they have the best margaritas in town but I'll have to take her word for it as I ordered a Modelo on tap in a chilled glass. Delicious. There are lots of choices on their menu but we went with their build your own combo. My wife and I both got a hard shell beef taco and a chicken burrito two item combo. The combos come with rice and refried beans. There's plenty of food on the combo platter but I would trade a little bigger portion of beans for less rice. The burrito was delicious with a red sauce on top. The taco shell almost failed sitting next to the burrito and soaking up that sauce but managed to hold it together. We would have liked a little more veggies also with the meal even it is just more lettuce on the taco. My daughter ordered two quesadilla con chorizo but made up for that polishing off most of the complementary chips and tasty salsa. I enjoy their salsa but it does have a sneaky kick to it. We all enjoyed all evening out here. The service is excellent and quick and their prices very reasonable.

Very good restaurant. Chicken with chorizo is the absolute best dish. They have great service. It is a smaller restaurant.

But a few things held this visit back from being a great experience. The biggest issue, and the one that cost the most stars: the noise. There's essentially no acoustic treatment in the dining room, and even at maybe 25% capacity, the sound is overwhelming. We couldn't hold a conversation without leaning in and repeating ourselves constantly. That's a real problem. It also had a direct impact on our order -- our server couldn't hear us clearly either, so a simple substitution (no beans, double rice) came out as no beans and no rice. Small thing, but avoidable. On the menu side, the descriptions need work. The patron salad lists "house dressing" with no further detail -- turns out it's quite sweet, which felt out of place on that dish. That's emblematic of the menu overall: the flavor combinations lean creative, sometimes mixing profiles that don't really belong together in a Tex Mex context. It's not bad, just occasionally confusing, and more transparency in the descriptions would help guests set expectations. Bottom line: solid kitchen, good staff, but fix the acoustics and tighten up the menu copy and this place has real potential.

I had no idea that they offered a small bowl of complementary ceviche, which is actually really good. Like, so good, that I'm going to have to go back just to get that. The queso was also good. It was the standard white queso that I commonly associate with the Midwest because for the longest I couldn't get it on the East Coast, but it's not queso fundido. They offer Coke from a fountain, which is a huge plus. And the salsa was really good. The chips and salsa were free, so they absolutely get bonus points for that. It was a random Saturday evening when I came in, and they were setting up for what looked like live music and a fun night. The service was really good and parking was easy since it's in a plaza. I would highly recommend this place. They were fast and super sweet.

We could say that the seafood was fresh - no funny smells and the food was prepared well. The prices were reasonable. We would love to go back for when we are craving for seafood.

The Food: I always get the tacos here, specifically the Lengua, Al Pastor and the Carne Asada. All the meats were incredibly tender and flavorful, just cooked to perfection. The toppings and salsa just add that extra level of satisfaction to your meal too. The consistency of quality here whenever I visit has always been the same, and that's why I keep coming back here. Portions are also very generous here for the price. The Service: Service was great. I've had both ordering experiences inside the restaurant and outside at their food truck and had no issues with wait times or quality. Overall, a 5/5. Would highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for some delicious tacos.

My favorites were definitely the birria tacos and the sope. Price: 3 birria tacos for $12 -- pretty fair pricing for the portion and quality. Atmosphere: Very packed, which is usually a good sign, but still nice and organized. Plenty of seating and the restaurant was decorated really well. Family-friendly atmosphere too. Service: Customer service was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. Overall: Good food, fair prices, lots of options, and a nice environment. Definitely would come back!
