The positive. Food was excellent. Great flavor and quality. We enjoyed our food very much…read more Ambiance was fantastic. Beautiful place. Customer service was okay. Friendly and attentive, but... The bad. Expensive and very small portions for price, but they are striving for that upscale feel. Quality over quantity which is fine, just don't expect huge portions. I was fine with my portion, others in my party were not. The reason my family will probably never return is as follows and I ate their last Monday and I'm still very upset about it and feel cheated. Waiter asked me several times about trying a new drink on menue. I declined twice as my husband and son each ordered a flight. The third time he brought it up my husband said bring her one, she likes mimosas. . Yes, I should of asked a price right then. It was a champagne drink with strawberry puree. I'm thinking $15 bucks max. It was ok. Nothing special honestly. My son ordered himself and my husband two house shots at end of meal. Waiter tried twice to get an upgrade. They declined. Long story short $40 for my 1 drink and almost $35 for 2 cheap jimador shots. Our bill for 4 was $320 before gratuity. I've never spent that on lunch, even in SD where I live. I feel they push the expensive alcohol on you and purposely do not give prices, so BEWARE! Ask prices! Last, it was a Monday and we were given a brunch menue and then also given a regular dinner menue. Thought that was odd for a non weekend and way too many selections. Overwhelming. I hope it does well, but I don't think it's the right demographic honestly and doubt it will last a year. I hope the waiters are more honest with customers about alcohol prices, because it was really great tasting food and a beautiful place

When you see a place with great reviews and inside a gas station (actually a small food court inside of a gas station), you get your hopes up. Something's did not disappoint, but a few items were a miss too. The good: menudo, taquitos and their salsas. They were out of oats and only comes with hominy, but flavors were spot on. Taquitos were crispy and flavorful. Salsas were fire. They had three and all were very good, with the dark red being spiciest. The ok: asada burrito and taco. Both were small and could have had a little more meat. Burrito was mostly beans and taco was tiny. The miss: hard shell taco. Was greasy greasy greasy! More lettuce and cheese could have masked that some, but was mostly tortilla which was drenched.

I ordered two breakfast burritos and found the food to be pretty mediocre. The potatoes inside were undercooked and still hard, which really took away from the overall dish. The service was also a bit disappointing. The older lady who took my order came across as unpleasant and not very welcoming. On a positive note, the lady cooking in the back seemed much nicer from what I could see, even just from a distance. Overall, I was hoping for a much better experience given the strong rating, but this visit didn't live up to the expectations.

The menu is pretty much the same and the quality continues to be at its best. The Beef Fajitas (for one) is nicely cut strips of beef. Served with warm flour tortillas, rice, beans, a small scoop of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. The service was great, kept my chips and salsa full and checked on us on a regular basis. New faces! Oh, and they only serve Pepsi products, Agua frescoes, and bottled beverages. I enjoy Don Garcias! They have something for everyone.

I brought a bunch of friends and family in for a big dinner on a Friday night, and I guess the word isnt out yet. The fresh paint and new furniture makes the place feel all new. Then the service, greeted immediately at the door and sat out party of 6 right away. The drink orders taken right away, and wow, the fish bowl Cadillac margaritas were tasty, not too boozy and even better on the second round. The wife and I split the taco platter for two (they have a for 3 option), the shredded beef was so tasty, the guacamole was clearly just made. I mean wow, I can't believe no one, has noticed yet. This place is like the old days, great, great and more great!

The restaurant is warm, cozy, and full of charm, with a beautiful country-style atmosphere that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. I ordered the salmon with pesto sauce, and it was perfectly cooked, juicy, and absolutely delicious. It came with a fresh green salad topped with sunflower seeds, flavorful beans, and fresh guacamole. Every part of the meal was excellent. My son loved his burrito, and everyone at our table was happy with what they ordered. We finished with the flan, which was one of the best I've had--smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. Even the coffee was served in a beautiful traditional Mexican ceramic cup, which made the experience feel even more special. You can truly feel the love and care that goes into both the food and the hospitality here. If you're driving between Orange County and Las Vegas, this restaurant is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be coming back on our next trip!
