Have they changed the name to Casa Grande? Either way it's the same restaurant just some new decor and a new name. The hubby and I stopped by for dinner this evening because our usual spot closes early on Sundays, and we wanted to try somewhere different. We were promptly seated and received the chips and salsa. Chips were warm, salsa was flavorless and watery so I gave it some salt and pepper to doctor it up a bit. Our waitress quickly got our drinks and dinner order put in. I ordered the Pizza Birria and it was some of the best Birria I've ever had, with a huge portion waaaay more than I was expecting for one person. My hubby got the quesabirria and he was also very happy with it. Definitely not spicy Birria like most places have but still very good and tender. At that point we really needed some napkins and a refill of my husband's drink, but our waitress had disappeared and I noticed her in the kitchen talking with one of the guys behind the counter. Thankfully another waitress walked by so I asked for napkins and she noticed my husband's empty drink and refilled it. The birria brought the score up to a 4 when it would've been a 5 if not for the salsa and waitress.

Came here for a dental event on a Thursday evening. The waitresses were nice but a service was a little slow. The inside was a little loud and there was a little glare on the screen for the presentation. The menu was overwhelming with the amount of options! The complementary chips and salsa were good. I ordered a quesadilla. It was very fun that you could choose from a large list of meats to put on the quesadilla. The portions were massive, I had many leftovers. A very good bang for your buck! Just wish the service was a little faster but I understand because it was a large group.

Out of all times I've driven by this place and never noticed it; I have to say this place was pretty good. We were greeted as soon as we entered and were seated immediately. Music wasn't too loud. Waiter noticed my bf's drink needed refilled before we asked. Provided an update on our food without us asking. Ratings: Overall, customer service was 5 star Food- 3 in a half star. Wasn't bad but wasn't great.

I'm giving a five star review for excellent service and delicious food. I went into this location on a Friday for takeout dinner. I was promptly greeted and offered a menu! The your lady was so sweet and helped me with my decisions on what to order. As I waited for my order to be prepared, she asked me if I wanted to have my horchata now to drink while I waited. That was very thoughtful of her. I was able to look around the restaurant and was able to see the beautiful Mexican decor. The seating was nice on both sides of the restaurant. The hostess and staff were pleasant with the diners and other people taking orders to go. It's the little things that make you feel valued and appreciated as a customer. The food was yummy! The flavors for me, were all there! I ordered guacamole and chips, horchata, flour tortillas and a rib eye carne meal. I enjoyed every bite! The food was plenty! Very happy with my overall experience!

The service bs food we're excellent here. I ordered two tacos for It's chicharrón and cuero, one of tripas, and one of lengua. The lengua and tripa ones were good, but my gosh that chicharrón and cuero We're amazing! I wish I wasn't just visiting. I wish they had a restaurant here in Florida. The horchata was also very tasty. Me and my family really enjoyed our time and food. I highly recommend for tasty Mexican food. If I'm ever in North Carolina in the Jacksonville area I will go back.

Good day folks. I recently moved to the area and was completely lost when it came to the restaurants and food available in the area. I asked a lot of people there opinions on this restaurant and that restaurant. I've tried a couple and some were pretty good. This restaurant is the best I've had I. A long time. I was born and raised in California and have had a lot of Mexican food, in fact it's probably my favorite cuisine. Unfortunately since moving from California years ago I haven't been able to find that restaurant that really compares. Until Now. Not only is the food amazing but the portions and the prices are great. So far I've been there twice in one week and Both times was amazing. Even something as simple as tortilla chips and salsa is without a doubt to be complimented. Photos to follow on my next visit which will probably be today.

While shopping in the area we became very famished and options were few in an area saturated with fast food chains. We stumbled upon this restaurant and were in luck for the $1 Taco Tuesday Bar ! We decided on the Gringo and mexican tacos. Al Pastor, shredded chicken and beef. Our waitress was Karen who was friendly and explained everything. We headed over to the live bar where a young man in a large colorful Gucci colored sombrero served the tacos of our choice. There was a separate station for toppings. If you're expecting American style tacos you'll have to go to Taco Bell. There is no American cheese or sour cream. Expect fresco style. For $27 for 3 people we ordered tacos, drinks, tortilla chips, guacamole and churros for dessert. An exceptional value for family dinner ! The tortilla chips were delicious here ! Crisp and fresh ! The churros were also freshly fried and soooo delicious. Perfect presentation with the different flavored dipping sauces. Raspberry being my favorite. The decor was very modern mixed with authentic old school mexican. Very nice touch ! Lots of flat screens and seating. The Latin music was very relaxing. Many locals were enjoying drinks at the bar as well.

One, the place is clean. Bathrooms and all. We were greeted at the door quickly. There was no wait and sat immediately. The waiter was straight up and could explain the menu well. The drinks were strong and well prepared. We had a mix of margaritas. The sweet tea was also great. The service was great throughout. The food was hot and prepared great. The bathrooms were clean as well here. The waiter took our orders and I watched him write it down. The only issue I have is I asked for no lettuce on the tacos and no beans. I got lettuce and beans. I ate it still. It was good but the meat was a bit dry. Now to my taste the rice had a lot of sweetness to it. The enchilada with red sauce was decent but the sauce was very sweet for me. Their house made hot sauce is perfect. It will burn you up if not careful. Worth it though. There were four of us and all others were very happy with their food. I would ask the cooks pay more attention to the tickets submitted. I'll be back and hopefully it will go a bit better.

What a find. I was in Jacksonville for work. It was getting ready to storm so we decided to find a place to eat and happened upon this restaurant. Friendly staff, great customer service, clean restaurant. Their extensive menu was well thought out with a variety of protein and veggies. They do bring chips and dip to the table. I ordered the lunch shrimp fajitas. My coworker ordered a burrito. Both were fresh, light and tasty. My shrimp fajitas portion was a nice size for lunch.

I had four street tacos of (2) asada and (2) Al pastor. Unfortunately, they were lacking in flavor on both meats. The presentation looked amazing but the taste was shortcoming. As for the ambiance and service, it was good overall.

This place wasn't too bad. I wish the meat didn't have so much fat, the flavors were all there. I was just missing more of a clean cut of meat. It honestly would've been all worth it. The fried ice cream wasn't too good. The shell around was very chewy and not crispy how it should be. The service was ok, and well it wasn't too bad.

Will they have white cheese dip? And how is the salsa and chips?? Still looking for a good place in town.

Yes. They have white queso. It's great. And so is the salsa. Really good.

The wicker light shades on the drop lamps are very attractive and add to the overall feeling of cozy and gentle festiveness--love it! Our waiter, Esteven, was amazing!! He was attentive and very observant picking up on my penchant for spicy. My entree came out and he didn't think the preparers put the slightly spicy salsa on it--gathering that I like spicy, so he went back and asked if they put it on my entree. He was an awesome waiter ... for more than just that! I love the menu changes (at least for Fajitas, my favorite) since the last time we were there (a couple years, we've had to do take out for awhile ...long while). They added some spicy fajitas, so I had the 'Fajita Diabla.' The sauce (Esteven called 'salsa') was so flavorful and had a little kick which was delightful. We stuffed ourselves and even after a humongous Negro Modelo each, when we got home and I was putting leftovers away I couldn't help but eat some more of the Fajita Diabla--I was so full but it was so delicious!!! (I had also added a bit of their very hot 'sauce' to it...perfection!) I also really like the change in the 'choriqueso' appetizer. Smaller portion which rankled us at first, but the original one was huge/cost almost the same as a small entree, but now it comes out smaller but more attractive and they added a small portion of pickled sliced jalapeños and a small portion of the best Pico de Gallo I ever tried--the portions actually turned out perfect. I loved that there was a lot of small chopped fresh jalapeños in the Pico de Gallo and that the onions were wilted (love jalapeños, but fresh onions burn my stomach, go figure?!). I never liked Pico de Gallo until this experience tonight at Mi Cabana, Western Blvd, Jacksonville Mi Cabana has upped the restaurant experience in Jacksonville, big time! Well done, Mi Cabana
