The best Spanish meal I've ever had. (Period). The food was delicious. Service was great. With a A100 rating the dining area could not be better.

I ordered two lomo salteado, half a chicken, tostones and flan to go. Food is delicious, made fresh. Highly recommend.

Delicious food and wonderful service! My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado and I ordered the Arroz Chaufa. The green(spicy) and white sauce was perfect with our dishes. We also got an order of fried plantains. We will definitely be returning!

Lomo saltado with extra meat, no fries and maduros instead. My favorite dish

Ever since I discover Pollos Tete I have been very loyal to come here every time I crave some good South American food. They are excellent at recreating and putting their own touch to the Peruvian dishes they offer and their desserts are pretty good. Service is very fast and they are very attentive. Its a family ran business, so the owner herself or her son will take your order, cook and serve your food. I really really enjoy the taste of the food and you can tell they put effort every single time, making their dishes look good and presentable. If you'd like to try my favorite I love the Lomo Saltado with extra meat, no fries and maduros instead, for the drink I match with a Tamarindo Jarrito and I use only the yellow sauce on the maduros and the rice. 10/10 every time! Enjoy!

I wish I could describe the taste of the food. There is so much flavor packed into a single dish. I got a steak rice. It reminds me of fried rice with the veggies but the spices of South American food. The best mess of Asian meets South American dish. Besides, they got almost a perfect score from the health department. The ladies working are on top of cooking. There's minimal wait. The only thing negative I have to say is the plastic silverware. That uses real plates but plastic utensils. It's a great place to enjoy some Peruvian styled foods. Try it out you won't be disappointed.

Our first time here, the place is very clean and well maintained. The employees are friendly. Chicken fried rice is very delish. Unfortunately the plantain was not very good, they were hard and dry.

A hidden gem in Wilmington ... a well kept secret of the locals …read more.. From the outside .. it looks like a road side hole in the wall but once youre in, its a whole new world ! Most people enter the bar entrance where the small patio area is .. but on the other side of the patio is the main entrance where you are created by the host stand .. You would never know how big this place is from the outside but once in... its like one of the hamster cage cages with never ending tunnels to different rooms/area... RSVP are definitely suggested since walkins are usually in Bar area or Patio area .. which isnt bad .. but its limited seating .. Staff here are cool but service can be a lil wait if they are busy . Menu is a Panamanian vibe with lots of good eats .. One of the salsas you must get is the Elote salsa its very nommm nommmm next would be the Goat Gauc which is equally amazing. The Ceviche is a must get ... yes get the Quattro which is 4oz of each one so you can sample all ! The scallops and pork belly of mash is pretty good but would be better over the coconut rice . The special of the day was a sheepshead filet over risotto which was pretty damn good ! The corvina was ok but was a little bit over done and ended up a lil drier than expected. Highly recommend asking for the homemade hot sauce ... its amazing and goes on everything! This is definitely a locals Hotspot and an interesting place to people watch... Will definitely comeback for sure .

This is based on takeout***…read more Great vibe inside. Love the decor. Lobster ceviche is really good. Huge chunks in there and the flavor is great. The tortillas are really hard, difficult to eat and not very good though :( Ahi tuna was seared (not raw like I asked for) and the tortilla was burnt. Half wasn't edible... Coconut rice is sublime. Id go again but make different choices.

Smoky Chicken That Needs No Sauce!…read more We popped into Papi's Peruvian Chicken on a Sunday, hoping to beat the church crowd, but it turns out, the real blessing was waiting inside. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, my buddy leaned over and said, "Man, someone's smoking something and it smells delicious." When we stepped inside, his grin got even bigger as he turned to me and said, "It's this place, great choice!" We both went for the smoked dark quarter with street corn salad. My buddy chose green beans, and I went with the Inca pork beans. I asked the woman at the counter to recommend a sauce, and she took the time to explain each one, patiently answering all my basic questions. It turns out, the chicken didn't need any sauce at all. It was smoky, moist, and packed with flavor--crispy on the outside with a deep, wood-fired taste that lingered with every bite. The Inca pork beans were hearty and full of flavor, a solid sidekick to the main event. The street corn salad, while fresh, could have used a bit more kick--maybe a sprinkle of cheese or a dash of lime to brighten it up. The interior's industrial strip mall vibe is functional but could benefit from a few authentic touches--like Peruvian art or music--to match the rich flavors coming out of the kitchen. If you're craving smoky, fall-off-the-bone chicken, Papi's Peruvian Chicken is worth the trip. I'll definitely be back to try more!
