They are excellent at recreating and putting their own touch to the Peruvian dishes they offer and their desserts are pretty good. Service is very fast and they are very attentive. Its a family ran business, so the owner herself or her son will take your order, cook and serve your food. I really really enjoy the taste of the food and you can tell they put effort every single time, making their dishes look good and presentable. If you'd like to try my favorite I love the Lomo Saltado with extra meat, no fries and maduros instead, for the drink I match with a Tamarindo Jarrito and I use only the yellow sauce on the maduros and the rice. 10/10 every time! I wish I could describe the taste of the food. There is so much flavor packed into a single dish. I got a steak rice. It reminds me of fried rice with the veggies but the spices of South American food. The best mess of Asian meets South American dish. Besides, they got almost a perfect score from the health department. The ladies working are on top of cooking. There's minimal wait. The only thing negative I have to say is the plastic silverware. So we were hungry not wanting to leave the house. I saw pollos tete had 4 1/2 stars from Yelp (which is hard to come by in our Jacksonville community) so i was anxious to experience it. I DoorDashed it. It got here super quick and it was hot. Full of flavor! Crispy chicken! And I thought I'd just be getting some regular degular black beans. Nope. We just finished the most delicious meal at Pollo Tete and encourage anyone looking for full rich flavor of perfectly prepared food to try anything on their menu. The fries are hand-cut and crispy, the plantains were sweet with scrumptious charred bits, the yucca was soft inside with a thin crunchy coating. I don't normally like the dessert Flan but this one was excellent if you love caramel. It's a little place with informal ambiance but you don't have to order at the counter- you can be seated and be waited on. The service was attentive and friendly. The customer service was awesome. Two very nice ladies were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is immaculate and you can see the kitchen from the seating area. Everything is spotless and they are extremely sanitary. If they are allowed they may eventually put up a screen, like another restaurant on their strip. The chicken is well seasoned. Do not expect a crispy skin but it is delicious. My little ones thought the fries were too big but that was only a complain to get dessert. They loved the rice pudding (arroz con leche).
