Eating at this place compelled me to write my first yelp review, as the other three reviews contrasted from my experience. I recently moved here and have been craving a delicious bagel. Saw this place on Instagram and figured I'd give it a shot. Based on the menu I saw, El Bagel serves three types of bagels (plain, sesame and everything), with four specialty sandwiches. From their instagram it appears they rotate the sandwiches on their menu. Prices range from 9 to 12 dollars for a bagel sandwich. They have drinks and chips but no coffee. They also don't sell bagels by themselves, just bagel sandwiches. It felt less like a bagel truck and more of a specialty sandwich truck. While I have no problem with long lines at food trucks, the wait for El Bagel was 56 minutes from when I arrived to when my order was ready. I arrived by 10:00 am, to a line of about twelve people. 56 minutes is way too long of a wait for Saturday morning bagels, especially with only twelve people in line. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese bagel on everything, my partner ordered the bacon cream cheese and jalapeño bagel on plain. They were good, but not exceptional. Not chewy and fluffy like a NYC bagel. Neither bagel was warm, which made me wonder about the time between when the bagels are made and when they are being served. My partner's bacon was slightly burnt. Portion size was what you would expect a normal bagel to be. I love bagels, but El Bagel was an unsatisfying experience. The wait is too long. Moved to Miami a year ago for work and found el bagel by word of mouth. Waited anxiously for the shop to open and when it did attended the 2 hour line the first few days. WORTH EVERY SECOND. I've read the reviews below that rip it apart for learning to adjust for Covid and longer then usual times... all I can say is they are doing a great job. The quote is available prior to placing your order so you can't really complain if you place it and know when it'll be ready, it also texts and emails you to notify that it's ready. Wake up early they sell out fast and get busy quickly! Above all this though My 5 stars is for customer service. We've eaten many times and never had an issue. The one time we did have an issue we contacted them via IG. The owner was incredibly quick to respond and recover our issue and of course retain us as guests. I don't care how good some of these places may claim to be - if you don't have an owner that cares it's not worth it. Hats off to you El Bagel. Hope to see more of you all over Miami. read more

I finally tried El Bagel for the first time and it was the best bagel that I have ever tried before in my life. It was nothing like those bagel sandwiches from the fast food restaurants. It was so fresh and tasted really good. The bagel I got was the Bacon Egg and Cheddar Bagel. It was wrapped up very nicely and cut in half. I was able to eat it without making a mess. After the first bite, I felt like I was in heaven.. I made sure to get there right before 10 so the line was not that long. The staff there is nice and friendly. I got my bagel quickly and it was fresh. There are other bagels that you can choose from. Just check out there instagram page. After eating that bagel, I will never eat the bagels from the fast food restaurants again. I can't wait to try El Bagel again. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I definitely would. I waited almost an hour for a bagel that was quintessentially average. I had to listen to the guy in front of me and his friend (who were wearing $575 sweat pants, had spongebob tattoos, and had one viable crustache between the two of them) repeatedly tell no one in particular that they were about to "get their feast on" and order 27 egg and bacon bagels (thereby denying me of poppyseed) right before I ordered. The owner did give a child a free apple juice which automatically gets him an extra .5 star and probably gets him into heaven. Other than that, it was an average bagel place. I would have rather spent the calories drinking a bagel beer next door at box elder. Remember how crappy it was waiting in line before Salty Doughnut had a brick and mortar location? Imagine doing that and getting a chocolate sprinkle Dunkin Donut (please don't call it Dunk, we don't live in Red Bank, NJ) at the end. That's the El Bagel experience.
