wonderful ! Eating out now is a little complicated because of the COVID-19 but this place is extremely clean and secured. They would take your temperature before you enter and they will clean the table in front of you. The food is very good and the drinks are great ! Beware that the plates are big! lol . Gorgeous view of the ocean and you can see the sunset if you go around 5 pm. The service was excellent, fast and efficient . We order one jar of Sangria and beers. The sangria was exquisite , not too strong or light. Food *Salmorejo de Jueyes - 5 of 5, Puerto Rican Salmorejo de Jueyes is a treat for anyone who loves crab. You can eat it with white rice , fried plantains or mofongo. * Chicken Mofongo - 5 of 5 , Mofongo itself is a dumpling made from lightly fried plantains, garlic, and pork rinds - it is full of flavor, and not overly dense or dry. You can order Mofongo with shrimps, beef or anything you like. Its a great restaurant to visit if you are near Salinas. They have free parking and you have the option to seat inside with AC or outside with a beautiful ocean view.

Cristal was one of the best waitress I e ever meet, the view from the balcony is worth the drive alone and the fresh fish is some of the best I've ever had. Had the red snapper with mojo and it was cooked to perfection. Service was the right speed for the venue, all the food is made to order and fresh. A definite stop when visiting Salinas.

Mini Empanada de Langosta. So cute and yummy.

What a true-blue diamond in the rough! Dinner at this restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip, no doubt. Located directly on a scenic waterfront, you definitely do not want to miss the view. Make sure you ask to be seated outdoors! The decor is simple, but stylish and tropical. The food is to die for. We started out with some Mini Empanadas (with lobster) as an appetizer. So cute and delicious! For the main meal, our group of four split the family-size Seafood Paella. Be warned: this dish is absolutely giant--and absolutely beautiful. They loaded it up with shrimp, clams, conch, and yellow rice. It was also served with a large pot of beans, and a side of tostones. There was so much food it barely fit on the table! The drinks were also amazing. This place is famous for its sangria so we tried that and the piña coladas. Even though this restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, it's totally worth the trip. If you want amazing seafood by a beautiful sunset view, this is the spot for you! WEPA!

Aalyah, thank you so much for making our last meal in San Juan so special!! The portions are huge! I split an app with 3 people and honestly the main dishes can be split among two people as well. It was very tasty especially the chicken, and the ribs! The place also looked amazing and we were given a semi-private room for such a large group. Thanks for having us!!

For my last night in Puerto Rico, I wanted to go all out, and I ended up somewhere pretty special…read more Casita Miramar sits in a gorgeous old villa in the Miramar neighborhood, all hanging plants, twinkle lights, and vintage furniture, and the décor and ambiance alone had me sold before the food even showed up. I sat at the bar, and the staff absolutely made the night. Insanely nice and receptive, they talked with me the entire time, made recommendations, walked me through the dishes and the culture behind them, and kept the strong drinks coming, which I will never complain about. That kind of hospitality is rare and I can't say enough about it. Now for my one nitpick, and this is a me problem more than a them problem: I don't totally love Puerto Rican food. This is authentic comida criolla, which pulls from Caribbean, Latin American, and Spanish influences all at once, and my picky palate keeps asking what exactly it's trying to be. But the vibes, the people, and the setting made the whole experience more than worth it. Come for the criollo cooking, stay for one of the warmest rooms in San Juan.
