Decided to check this place after finding them on Yelp. Service is super slow! Although there were many workers standing around, service sucked. It was only us and another couple eating there and they took 45 minutes to bring our food. Also, we had different servers ask us for our order and bring us our food. The tacos were not good at all. Many year a Bucerias condo owner. First visit to Cafe de Bucerias. Ordered the arachera steak tacos. Archera steaks are marinated for a good while and are very tasty and tender. The meat in my tacos was very tender and had no taste. If it was arachera as it said on the menu, it was different than any I have ever had and I have eaten many. The accompaniments, beans, chipotle salsa, guacamole and cilantro were just fine. My food came and I received a knife, fork and napkin. A NAPKIN. My waiter did not return to check on me during my meal. I dont know about you, but I pick my tacos up by hand and proceed to eat them. There is no way in the world the possession of a single napkin will suffice for three drippy tacos. I did the best I could and then asked a passing waitress for help. She brought me a loaded napkin dispenser! Made me wonder if I should have received one with my tacos. At the conclusion of my meal I sat for a few minutes looking around the very nicely decorated restaurant. I then stopped my waiter as he passed and asked for the check. I waited 10 minutes without a check and then asked a different waiter as he passed for my check. 8 minutes later it arrived. The restaurant was not busy, ( I think 2 other tables of diners beside myself), there were a number of waitstaff in evidence. Food service was timely. Waitstaff attention was poor. And check delivery was very poor. Arachera steak was bland and unlike any I have ever eaten. I am not a complainer. In fact I almost never leave other than good reviews as I am not a picky eater. But I thought Cafe de Bucerias was a dud and I won't be back. Lots of good to great food in Bucerias. Service in town is good enough that I don't recall bad service. I have often spent months here and have eaten widely here. I didn't like this restaurant. read more

The food was good no complaints there. The service on the other hand was left to be desired. I felt like the person we had did not want to wait on us for some reason. Another couple showed up after us was serviced and bought there check as we sat there waiting for the same girl to just check on us. I got up to get the WiFi password and not one of the workers would would even make eye contact with me. I literally walked in a circle has they just walked pass me when I was standing at their counter. I not sure why they did not want to wait on us they even sent a girl that did not work there to give us our check. My wife and I escaped from the wilting heat into this oasis of relaxation. It was definitely the best "tourist trap" in town. The café is decorated like a Starbucks but I liked their drip coffee and iced Americano much better than anything Starbucks makes. My wife liked her drink as well. We didn't try the food as we had just eaten at the beach, but the menu looked good. The furnishings are comfortable, their WiFi is free, there are decent bathrooms downstairs, but of course my favorite aspect was the ample A/C. ¡Thank you Café de Bucerías! read more

What a baffling experience. I went to get a chai tea and breakfast. The server asked what size chai, I told her, she brought a cup to verify, I said si and then she didn't come back. After another 10 mins I tracked her down and told her I wanted to order food too. She brought me another menu (I already had 2) and then couldn't recommend anything vegetarian. I decided I'd just get my chai and be on my way. It had been 25 minutes since I'd placed my drink order and they hadn't even begun. They were not busy. I gave up and left hungry, thirsty and pretty much hangry. A nice couple directed me to Karen's which is a great place a few blocks away on the beach. My drink came within 2 minutes of sitting down and my food order was taken right away. I'll review Karen's when I'm no longer famished! read more

My wife and I where looking a place to escape the heat that a good breakfast menu, so we looked up places and off the pictures it looked appealing, so we decided and give it a try, upon arrival we feel in love, its like a little coffee you would fine in the states, unfortunate we had just missed the breakfast cut off time, so we decided to give lunch a try! Let me tell you, the presentation of the food was amazing, and everything tasted fresh! Their green juice is made fresh and so is the coffee! WE loved it so much we decided we needed to go before we headed back to the states, so we woke up early and went to have breakfast! The chilaquiles are worth the trip to this place! If you are anywhere in the neighboring cities, I recommend you coming to this place. We have found our breakfast, and lunch place in Bucerias! read more
