    Chorizo taco
    Angela D.

Delicious tacos. I ordered the nopales, chorizo, and steak with bacon and onion. It appeared to have only locals there. It is pretty much two large tables in the middle and seating along the wall. From afar it looks run down as there is a bucket with garbage collecting water from the rain inside. There still is the large menu on the wall. It's not about the asthetics because my nose told me this is a winner. I'm not afraid to check out a "hole-in-the-wall, because usually the food is so great that it doesn't matter. Love love love the food. All for about $8 and I can't even finish.

Que rico! Tacos are legit. A feast for two with beer 320 pesos. Costilla (ribs) com queso was delicious. Side orders of grilled cebollas (onions) y chiles.

It was plentiful but not un-cheap. I made the mistake of ordering one of the bisteck + torcino specials that comprised of a plateful of meat chopped with onions instead of tiny tacos to try. I was famished after my flight and just relieved to find (any) taqueria. Wasn't my favorite but was partly my fault because I should've ordered the thing so obviously spinning in front of me. Service was great. They didn't even charge me for the horchata I sent back not knowing that all drinks are made of filtered water anyway.

Tacos al pastor. Assemble them yourself. Flavorful and fresh!

Stopped by to try the tacos and was totally satisfied. The carnitas al pastor (order of 3) were well seasoned and served fresh with diced onions, pineapple slices and cilantro. Quick and attentive service. Ice cold Victoria served in a cold mug brought it all together. Mostly stool seating and some tables as well.

Delicious food, great portions and good service. We ordered a side of grilled onions, which were a great add-on to our tacos. For the tacos, we did the 12 specialty tacos (6 pastor and 6 costilla (rib), the tacos can be ordered solo, 3, 6 or 9 I believe). I liked the bistec a lot more, the pastor had a sweet terriyaki flavor to it which I wasn't expecting. The variety of salsas were delicious and all had a strong kick to it, the limes were extremely juicy. The price of the meal was very cheap for how much food we got - the food did take a while to but ordering was easy and quick. We had a late night dinner so it was easy to snag a table (larger table that is shared by other groups), but not sure how it is during peak meal times.

    Salsas and avocado

Such a solid spot for tacos. I've been to El Caminero a few times and it doesn't fail to disappoint. This time I went a bit early so I had to wait for them to open at 12 pm. My favorite thing to get is the al pastor and chorizo. I've gotten the tacos de chorizo with cheese before but it was a bit too much cheese for my liking. The al pastor is very tasty and the chorizo perfectly seasoned. The salsas are spicy and perfect to add to the tacos. I also would suggest to ask for the onion and cilantro if they don't give it to you right away. A side of avocado to add to the tacos completes the entire meal. In this visit our al pastor didn't come with pineapple because we were too early and were in a bit of a rush so needed those tacos ASAP. If we wouldn't have been in a rush I'm sure the tacos al pastor would have come with pineapple or if not we would have asked for it. The service is mad speedy and the staff is really nice and overall attentive. Definitely will be back!

Tacos are a part of all trips to Mexico. This place was discovered because of other yelpers and they didn't disappoint. It's so yummy. I got the tacos and the quesadilla. They have some bomb salsas and I recommend you try all 3. Ended up going here a few times on the trip because it was yummy

This little hole in the wall has some of the best al pastor tacos. The taquero places 3 tortillas at the bottom of the plate and meat on top of those tortillas and a few tortillas on top on the meat. They give you a lot of meat. The tacos were amazing and the service was great. They do accept debit and credit cards here. Don't let the little Taquería fool you.

Very good tacos. The biztec had no fatty pieces and was so good I had to go back the next day for more.

Another thing this city has is very inexpensive spots you can eat, like pop ups or stands that serve such high quality food at very cheap prices. The third thing I found about this city is where this restaurant fits in-They have restaurants that are historic, that opened over 100 years ago-Cafe de Tacuba fits in that category, having opened in 1912. This restaurant is located in Centro Historico-just a few blocks from Zocalo. Its location is a very busy touristy part of Mexico City. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, but once we walked in it was obvious why as it was truly a work of art in there. The walls were adorned with amazing paintings and murals and interior designs elements that transported you back to Mexico in the 1950s and earlier. It was gorgeous. I don't want to call it a fancy place with all the stigma that sometimes represents but it was a fancy place without all the stuffiness of a fancy place. It was a very warm and welcoming place to dine at. There was a lady walking around with a platter full of conchas and churros that one could indulge in while waiting their main meal. I had to get a churro-it was so delicious. We also got chicken tortilla soup-it was so rich and tasty with the perfect blend of Mexican seasonings. I had a pretty good cafe con leche as well-you could really taste the high quality coffee beans they use in their coffees compared to what I'd been getting all trip in the streets. Now when you visit this restaurant and you could only try one dish-that dish begins and ends with Enchiladas Tacuba(355 pesos/$20.35) That's what I got and it was awesome. Its basically a chicken enchilada dish with a creamy spinach based sauce topped with cheese-flavor bomb to the fullest. 9.5/10 Item I wouldn't clarify this as an inexpensive meal compared to other places we visited in Mexico City, but I would call this place an incredible dining experience where one can just feel the importance of the building one is having this meal. Heck Diego Rivera had his wedding reception here in 1922. I for sure would recommend anyone who has the pleasure of visiting Mexico City, must add Cafe de Tacuba to their itinerary-it's such a rich experience.

During a family trip to Mexico City, one of the places I was most excited to visit was Azul Histórico. I live in New York, and I had been looking forward to enjoying authentic Mexican chile rellenos at such a renowned restaurant. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The colonial courtyard creates a magical atmosphere, and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. I also have to mention that the drinks were delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the chile rellenos didn't meet our expectations. My mom and I both ordered them, and we agreed that they were served quite cold and didn't taste fresh. The staff kindly offered to replace our meals, which we truly appreciated, but I decided not to. Instead, I ended up eating some of my daughter's meal since I knew she wouldn't finish it. Thankfully, the rest of my family had a wonderful dining experience. My dad, my husband, and my daughter all loved their meals and were very happy with what they ordered. We finished the evening with desserts, coffee, and hot chocolate, and everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, Azul Histórico offers a stunning setting and outstanding service. While my entrée wasn't what I had hoped for, the rest of the meal and the time spent with my family made it a memorable experience. I'd gladly return to try other dishes from the menu.
