We didn't time our arrival great as there was a huge group there that just beat us so our orders took quite a while. I ended up getting fajitas because the place smelled so yummy like fajitas but they were really sad and had no flavor. None of the food tasted like it had any seasoning. I'm not a person that usually adds salt to my food, but we had to beg for a salt shaker and salt everything. I think the fajitas were just grilled meat with grilled vegetables and the only seasoning was what crusty stuff happened to be on the grill before they cooked it. All around, it was super sad. Our service was okay. I don't blame them for getting behind because of the big group, but I do blame them for serving flavorless food. read more

We came in late (9pm) on a slow Saturday night. Service was quick & friendly. We ordered choriqueso, but received plain cheese dip. It tasted fine, but was very runny. I prefer mine a little thicker. I ordered enchiladas suizas & they were tasty & full of chicken. The beans & rice didn't have a whole lot of flavor. My husband got the steak Jalisco & was happy with it. He referred to it as @white people" Mexican food. If you don't pay with cash, you are charged a service fee. The restaurant is a typical bright-colored, festive restaurant with Mexican music in the background. We did not leave hungry as you are served large portions. We're driving by and saw the reviews so we decided to stop and have late lunch. I got the mixed fajitas. It was very salty. And they only have 3 tortillas (most restaurants include at least 5). Hubby got the tacos and it's so dry it tasted like it's made from frozen tacos. My kids got the chicken tenders and the hamburger. They both ate only half of theirs. I tried the burger and it's also very dry and bland. The ambiance is Mexican-ey but the flavors really fall short of an authentic Mexican place (as what they claim to be). read more

Two and a half stars... it's moderately good Mexican in the west-central region, but not great. The salsa is better than average (by midwest standards -- still pretty mild) and the chips are light & just a little greasy, which is how I like 'em. The taco salad was a bit boring, but the beef was hot & nicely seasoned, the lettuce was crispy, and the queso blanco garnish was creamy & spicy. Unfortunately, the fourth or fifth bite of beef yielded a big glob of fatty gristle, which kind of ruined the rest of it for me. I picked around the edges & didn't find anything else offensive, but... ew. I was done. Hopefully the fat blob was an anomaly. Service was prompt & attentive, and prices quite reasonable (under $10 for my meal.) Tons of easy parking helps too. The table next to me was celebrating a birthday, for which occasion the four waiters impersonated the world's most tuneless mariachi ensemble, which was entertaining. I'll likely give it another try, but I'll probably order the chicken next time. read more

This place is always packed! Their service is fast and reliable and their food is amazing. Before you even get a chance to open your menu they have brought your first bowl of the bottomless chips and salsa. The chips are always warm which makes me happy and the salsa is just right...not too hot and not too mild. Go ahead and order the cheese dip, you will be oh so glad you did! I have not tried anything there that I have not enjoyed. The quesadillas are yummy, the burritos are excellent, and the chicken nachos are out of this world! A half order order of chicken nachos is a still a big plate of nachos, and they are smothered in that ooey gooey white cheese dip. You can't go wrong ordering anything with that cheese dip on it! Last time I got this amazing huge chile stuffed with the cheese dip and then fried....YUM! The guys who work here are so friendly, always smiling, and provide excellent customer service. I've never had to wait for my drink to be refilled or ask for another basket of warm chips. Pretty standard fare for the Mexican restaurants in the area which is a good thing - because you always know what to expect and the food is very, very good. If you're a return customer, they always seem to recognize you. The service is fast and friendly. The bottomless drinks and chips and salsa guarantee you'll never go hungry. I rarely order shrimp in a Mexican restaurant, but OH.MY.GOSH it's amazing. I order the chicken and shrimp dish with beans and rice and guacamole - they always bring me extra flour tortillas at no extra charge. It's heavenly. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. And they should get 5 Stars for the service alone. I love these guys for treating me like family. read more

We'd driven past this place many times heading down I-70. We are huge fans of the El Camino Real in KCK and wondered if - other than the name, that this place was related. Alas, it definitely is not. (Or if it is, they are doing a whole different type of Mexican out in Odessa). But, for what it is - fairly standard tex mex - they do it pretty well. Clean restaurant, the pork tacos ($1 each on taco Tuesday) were good, at least the cheese was white cheese and an authentic Mexican variety. Good for some Midwest Mexican food. Had a "to go" option and we ate outside by the fields of grass where the abandoned buildings are so my 2 year old could run around outside. We loved the food and ate every bit of it, but it took 2 days to eat it all!
