What wonderful flavors! Had street tacos and they were wonderful! Quick service and nice group of people.

After our heart-searching adventure, we decided it was time to eat before heading home. Tim and I have eaten here multiple times and suggested it to Teressa, who seemed to think it was a good choice. The cheese dip, chips, and salsa were a great start to our meal. We reviewed the menu and made our selections. Both of us chose Flautas Crujientes: crispy flour corn rolls stuffed with chicken or beef, topped with cabbage, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and queso fresco, served with rice and beans. I opted for chicken, while Teressa chose beef. We ended our visit with sopapillas. Yum The service was great, the restaurant was not too crowded, and the food is always amazing. If you are in the Oak Grove, Missouri area, I recommend stopping by 709 S. Broadway. Staying at a nearby hotel so decided to give this a try. The food here is what seems like Midwest Mexican, blah. I ordered the trio enchilada dinner which includes one chicken, one beef and one cheese enchilada. The beef tastes like someone opened a package of ground beef and heated it. The chicken tastes like boiled canned chicken. No spices or flavors to get one excited about the meat. All flavor comes from the sauce which was ok. The side of rice was under cooked so extremely crunchy. The chips and salsa were decent. The salsa had some flavor with a slight kick. I did a house margarita which consisted of as much ice as they could put in a glass with a little bit of margarita. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. The staff was friendly and there to take your order, refill waters, etc. If your from here than this place is fine. If you've been to the southwest or Texas then prepare for disappointment. read more

Very good tacos and enchiladas. We also liked the chimichanga with rice and beans. Chips and fresh made salsa is included with the meal. Our server really knew what he was doing. Took two deserts home. Flan and tres de leches. Waiting to taste them. Too full from dinner. This is a one of a kind local restaurant. Prices are very reasonable. Plenty of parking and easy to find for locals or anyone at the KOA or jumping off I-70. read more

Service was great! Tortilla chips tasted like the oil was 1000 years old that was harvested out of a gutter from a glue factory. Seriously this place had the worst tasting, rotten, foul, nasty and rancid tasting chips I have ever eaten. The food wasn't horrible but my gosh change your oil at least once a year! read more

Was very disappointed with today's food. The chips were either bad oil or burnt, service didn't seem to be interested in our dissatisfaction. This place is a nice change of menu from a lot of the Mexican places around. Don't get me wrong I like those places to. Next time will post more pics of tepoz unfortunately most somehow got deleted We had the California burrito this time with the tamale trio with black beans... which are great. The only thing I would say negative about this place is sometimes the service is slow / maybe understaffed, but that seems to be everywhere lately, however there was a newer waitress this time and the service was good. One of my personal favorites here is the Baja street tacos . Definitely would recommend this place to try. read more

My kids and I came across Tepoz yesterday as we were running errands in Oak Grove, Missouri. First off, we will be back!!! The food was above expectations!! When you walk in you notice the cleanliness and their observance of the mask and Covid distance rules that all businesses are being asked to follow. Whether you agree with the rules or not, this business is doing what they can to follow them and I appreciate that. The wait staff was attentive and the timing between seating, drink orders, food orders, follow up post food delivery, and closing out was good. Now the food. My son ordered the chicken enchiladas that come with red sauce and melted cheese on top long with refried beans and rice. This 18 year olds first comment was "the tortillas taste homemade. I like that". Getting an 18 year olds praise deserve 5+ stars!! My daughter and I both got the fajita chicken burritto, modifying it without cheese. The orders came out correct and piping hot. The chicken and veggies were cooked well and flavorful. The beans and rice on the side were also well seasoned. Food is better than the service. Especially on To Go items. We have called in orders several times that when we get the food home, it's all wrong. Sometimes they don't even answer the phone. But if they answer your call, and you get home with what you ordered, it's pretty good. read more

The Salsa they give you when we was seated was the best I have had at any Mexican restaurant. It was not runny like most places. We had the Steak Burrito Fajita and it was amazing . Restaurant was very clean and we were seated very quickly. Hopefully the girls were just having a bad day because the service was very bad. I could not tell if the same girl that took our order was the same girl that cashed us out but she was very rude. Waitress never came back to ask if everything was good or fill our water glasses & when we went to pay the girl @ register was on the phone trying to take an order she was having trouble hearing the person on the phone. She took our money (not saying one word to us gave us our receipt then turned around & went to the back. No how was every thing, No thank you , no come back .
