a menu for a mexican restaurant
    Pranav P.

The food was very good went on a very wet and raining day- got the queso for appetizers I think my biggest disconnect with the place was that chips were only free for the first basket! First time I've personally seen it Had the chicken fajitas - VERY good but I don't know if worth a whole $18 They also do not advertise their happy hour very well, not on menus and hesitant to tell... Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Time to get food : 22 min

This restaurant has a very laid back and relaxing feeling. Their lobby is very welcoming with it's charming decor. The parking lot is quite big and had a lot of space. Ordered the vegetarian fajitas. The quantity of food and the rest was good. They also give salsa and chips for free. The avacado tasted really good. I would say this place is a good option to try Mexican food. I did not find anything particularly spectacular about the food. But nothing bad either. It is what you would expect from a Mexican dish. I would recommend giving this place a shot.

I love coming here and I've visited it in other cities. It's one of my sister and I's favorite lunch spots to meet at and I especially love the one in Robinson because there's not a lot of people during lunch. I got a taco salad, and when my sister saw it she was very jealous. It was loaded and quite frankly it defeated me. I couldn't finish. The reason I could finish was because I love their salsa and I load up on their chips and salsa beforehand. Their salsa is blended restaurant style, not chunky, and I love that. I also get the cheese dip and mix the two (what else do you need!?!?) my sister got the chicken quesadillas and the lunch portion is definitely manageable. Like 3/4 the size of a regular huge one so she was able to finish. She got a mango margarita on the rocks and I got a raspberry one and I was VERY HAPPY and calm afterwards! So yummy!

Aw hell, I thought I was in for a Mexican treat prior to the Motley Crue concert at First Niagara when I saw the rustic, "authentic" decor and was greeted by our humble, gracious, classy, and thoroughly attentive server. I was even more hopeful when that mortar full of chunky, ideally lemon-tinged guacamole came out along with a batch of oily, brittle tortilla chips. The salsa, which I all but totally ignored, tasted to have originated from a economy-sized aluminum can pulled from a Big Lots shelf. Lifeless, it merely smacked of watery Ragu and a packet of salad seasoning. My burrito, properly fat, was stuffed with ground beef that apparently was "filled out" by ground turkey. I've had ground turkey. I know how grainy it can be. I know its flavor. It isn't nauseating by any means, but damn it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvyc-CiLZxQ Why I ordered churros for dessert, I can't explain. Perhaps I thought that maybe there was a chance they'd be made on the premises, but they were too uniform, too pristine, too cryogenic. I kept wondering which convenience store I could get them from, that apple filling recalling The Clown or Tiny Deborah In The Cellophane Dress. Each dish was plated gorgeously, however. Many of these Mexican places keep popping up in the suburbs of Western Pennsylvania of late, and I can't help but suspect that they are all part of a chain that's trying to hide the fact that it is a many-tentacled chain. The menus are the same. The food's the same. Only the names differ. Strange. Unsatisfying. Next!

The service here is excellent. In both visits the attentiveness has been perfect. The environment is musical, decorative, and darker. It is great for a date, a visit with friend, or a chance to scratch that taco itch. Now, their tacos are so good. My favorite is the chicken taco (sounds boring?); these tacos are amazing. Guacamole cream, kale, and spiced chicken. I also had chicken and chorizo, which is very good, but that chicken one is the bomb!

While flavor is fine, it's the same size you can buy at Chipotle for $3. Then, the queso fundido is bad. The queso isn't really melted, the flavor is missing, and they don't give tortillas to eat it with, just tortilla chips. For $14, this is really bad. The chips and salsa is again bad. The chips are so stale which is disappointing. Don't get the fajitas. I got the "mix 3" and ordered chicken and shrimp. There were 5 pieces of shrimp and a few measly, dry pieces of chicken. At $22, fajitas should also come with tortillas. But again, no tortillas are provided. Quite disappointing. Churros are decent and the chocolate ice cream is actually tasty (definitely store bought). Avoid this restaurant if you don't want to be scammed and left disappointed in the entire experience.

These tacos are made Mexican style, meaning it comes with onions and cilantro with lime on the side. It also came with a side of grilled onions and potatoes. The potatoes were too soft in my opinion. I think if you were going for grilled side veggies, it's better to make it a tad crispy and browned. For the Taco Tuesday Special, I got the al pastor, steak fajita, and chicken tinga tacos. The best one had to be the al pastor because it wasn't dry and had lots of flavor. I opted for the red morita spicy sauce, and trust it actually has spice and kick to it. The tacos are double layered, which is nice. Decent meal for a Tuesday dinner, their menu is pretty basic for a taco place. For instance, their only dessert is churros with chocolate sauce.

We sat for a long time actually waiting for a server to come speak with us and get our drink order. So long, despite not being a full place, that I told my wife I wanted to get up and leave. I was very, very frustrated. I had been glancing at their menu on Yelp and saw some tacos that I wanted to try, unfortunately the restaurant cut their menu back to only five tacos to choose from. I'm guessing to simplify things for the Draft crowd that they anticipated coming. Our server finally came to take our drink order and after so long we knew what we wanted. The server wasn't exactly friendly or attentive. We started with street corn as an appetizer, it was awesome. My wife had the chicken tacos and didn't like them. She said they were mushy and had an off flavor that she didn't enjoy. I had the birria tacos. They were not bad, they didn't come with any sauce/juice as all the other birria tacos I've ever had typically come with. I have to say, I was disappointed in the menu being reduced and other than the street corn app., just wasn't impressed. The service was not good, my wife's taco were bad and my were okay. I'll not be rushing back unfortunately.
