They walked away impressed with the quality & reasonable price of the menu. The Combo platters are massive & offer a good variety of dishes to sample ( tho I can't give up my chili rellenos & tamales on my favorite combos!) My notoriously picky grandson cleaned off his plate & happily munched a way on the house made tortilla chips & salsa until another basket appeared. Tucked in an unassuming building across the alley from the closed Subway, this little spot is not much to look at from the outside but is perfectly adorable inside. With an extensive menu of all the Mexican dishes you could imagine, my husband and I joined the other folks inside. We both decided to get dishes we were familiar with to make an accurate comparison for other Mexican restaurants. My husband got the Mocajete which is shrimp, chicken, and steak served with sautéed vegetables and tortillas. The proteins were cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. I got the Pollo Adobe which is chicken cutlet served with sautéed onions, peppers, and mushrooms as well as rice and refried beans. The chicken was tender and moist but the rice and beans tasted so delicious as opposed to other places where they just occupy space on the plate. The waitress was attentive and friendly. HONESTLY, should've known when we pulled up it wasn't the best. Food came out nice and hot but really soupy. It was the texture of baby food and the chicken was pretty bland. Not really seasoned. First visit, but I had heard good things from a couple different people. The interior is extremely bland and it is borderline ugly. This place used to be a bar and the bar still remains in the middle of the room but there is no alcohol on it. There is some booths and table seating and barely any decoration on the walls. A couple tvs on and no music or anything. Atmosphere is nonexistent. When we arrived there was only one other family there. Not a good sign. Food was ok. My wife had the chicken jumbo burrito and said it was good. I had the Burrito Durango, which had shrimp, chicken and steak in a large shell with peppers, onions and rice. There was a white sauce and it was good, but very spicy. I think the source of the heat was whatever spice was sprinkled on top of the dish. I don't mind some spice, but it was a bit too much. Service was ok. Nothing special. Waitress just took our order and brought our food. Not much in the way of welcoming us or conversation. All in all it was ok. Three stars is what I am giving them, but they were closer to two. I think we will give them another try someday, but if you want a better experience and better Mexican food, go to El Campesino in Robinson. read more

Its nice to finally have the option to go out for Mexican food in Beaver County. I've eaten here several times. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. The prices are also very reasonable. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. The food is average. I feel like I have eaten a lot tastier Mexican dishes at other restaurants. What a garbage restaurant! My family ordered fajitas for two last night along with a side of rice and fajita quesadilla . It was about 7:30 by the time my husband got back from the restaurant and immediately as we unloaded the food we realized we had a huge problem there were ZERO tortillas! Instead of the order of rice we had an order of beans which my husband and I do not eat and on top of everything else-- the food was frozen! We called and called and called my husband drove out there but they were all closed up. (2 hours early) This is about 8 o'clock at night on a Saturday even though online it says that they are open till 10:00! The next day we called and got the owner on the phone and requested a partial refund for the order missing a critical item. The owner started rambling about wait times and making up excuses and going off topic after about 10 minutes into his ridiculous excuses I said look all we want is a partial refund for the missing food items and the inconvenience and he told us in a sarcastic tone to bring back ALL of the food and then he would give us half of our money back. I was absolutely outraged-- first of all that's disgusting and second of all they did not provide the food that I ordered and basically stole from me and they're not going to get away with it. I told him that's fine I will be contacting my credit card company and you can deal with them directly regarding your fraudulent business practices sorry but you don't get to keep all my money and only give me half of my food!! The owner is an absolute moron because we would go in about at least once a week to order takeout and he has lost my business forever and I have contacted my credit card company, so I'll let visa handle it. Unless you want to have half your order missing with no chance of getting any sort of refund or credit I would seriously consider going somewhere else! read more

I want to love this place, but it is a hit or miss affair. I don't eat there often ... I don't necessarily care for the building, so I just order to go and eat at home. You see, it's an old building and the parking situation isn't the easiest to manage. A little hard to miss, tight parking spaces and a high traffic road just make it so that it's easy to pass. Once you're in you're find yourself in a dark environment, and it has the old wood building smell to it. It isn't uncomfortably dark, but it just screams old building. By this point your spider senses might be going off; fortunately, the staff has always been quick to great with a smile so at least you know you're being taken care of right away. I have seen instances where folks looked visibly exasperated by either slow service or having less than perfect wait staff service, but I have a pretty high tolerance just keep my water glass full, and I'm happy. With all that out of the way, let's get to the main attraction-the food! My personal favorite is the Burrito Durango, a smothered burrito with chicken, steak, and shrimp covered in a spicy queso sauce. By itself, the dish would be a 5-star review. However, the rice and beans leave me wanting more flavor or at least better texture on the rice. All the other quesadilla or burrito dishes we've ordered have been excellent, always piping hot even by the time we get home to eat. The hit or miss on the food comes in the form of the chips and salsa. On a couple of occasions, the chips have tasted stale to the point where one could taste the mustiness in the air (back to the old building smell) which honestly puts a total downer on the whole meal. So like I said, I want to love this place. The staff seems on point, and the main dishes have been great. But a combination of older accommodations and the questionable quality of some of the sides like the rice or the chips make it, so I don't quite know if I'm going to love it or just be ok with it until I finally get home and sit down to eat my meal. read more

We ordered lunch from here the other day, they have a huge lunch special selection and the prices aren't terrible especially for the amount of food that you're getting. I got a huge chicken burrito topped with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream with rice on the side for about $6. You also get a bag of fresh tortilla chips and salsa with your order and they were really good. The only thing that I didn't like was the guacamole and I'm usually a big fan, it was also really expensive to add a small side of it...about $4, definitely not worth it. Another plus was the quick service we had 3 separate orders and the food was ready in 10 minutes at the most! I'll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes. read more

Not much good to say about this place. Service was terrible we waited 10 minutes until someone even came to our table. Chips were cold. Main entree was cold as well. Tacos were soggy. One of the workers had their head down sleeping at the bar. Another lady working there had her kid running around screaming the whole time we were eating. Also got the wrong amount of change they gave me a dollar extra over what I should have gotten back. Good for me but pretty amateur on their part.
