I DONT KNOW WHY PEOPLE PUT LETTUCE IN BURRITOS. Thats my take. I saw all these amazing reviews and figured to come. Giving it 4 stars. Nothing bad service was good. The burrito was standard as well, didn't blow me away tasted like any other burrito. This isn't a top of line. I'd give it 6.5/10 Would I come back ? OMG! This is an amzing food truck! What a bang for the buck place! Even better than decent Mexican restaurants! I ordered a Quesadillas Capiral and it came with four tortillas stuffed with melted cheese, chiken, onions, bacon, and hams. I also ordered Carmarones A La Diabla and the ingredients were really fresh! My only a couple wishes are that the Mexian cashier could understand my English (I asked for chicken as a meat option because I don't eat other meats, but it was my bad that I didn't say "chicken only") and put an aluminum foil layer under the hot totilla (it melted bottom of the styrofoam box a little bit underneath and I don't want to get bad chemical stuff like endocrine interrupter out of it). Overall, it's amazing quality food for the price! I am a six-foot tall guy and the portion of Quesadillas Capiral was very generous for only $7! How can they make a profit even? I'll definitely come back whenever I am near Silverton! highlly recommend them if you want to have authentic and delicious Mexican food at a super affordable price. read more

Fantastic. We were a little surprised when we came around the corner and saw the food truck. All the reviews are dead on. Great food great prices. We got the breakfast burrito, nachos and 3 taco plate. The steak was a little chewy but we didn't care. The flavors are dynamite. The red sauce is pretty spicy but worth it. We moved to Silverton from Dallas, TX, and the food scene in both places has been less than what we thought. But right here, less than 1/4 mile from my house is the best food trucks I ever eaten at ever. And I ADORE the food at EL Caporal is the closest to South Texas (San Antonio rocks mexican food) I've found. The varities of carne and how prepared is authentic street food in Mexico City. My only minor gripe is the size of the breakfast burritos (we're used to 6" tortillas filled with all or any combination of eggs. papas, jamon, bacon, cheese, and chorizo. But mostly I really miss refried bean and cheese tacos, some time with Bacon....But that is just a quibble and I can make breakfast tacos myself, just too lazy. Oh and I miss carne guisada but I haven't found it much out of south San Antonio. Everything else kicks ass and is a stop for us at least 2 or 3 times a week. read more

Great little taco truck with lots of options! We got the breakfast burritos and the taquitos and both were great. The breakfast burritos were substantial!! Also, both the mild (green) and hot (red) salsa it came with were both so good!! The menu had quite a few options and everything looked good. Our mouths! Chile rellano burritos and shredded chicken nachos, my sister said "best she's ever had "! Soooooo good, highly recommend. My daughter got married May 29th at Silver Falls State Park and we had the El Caporal Taqueria taco truck cater the reception at the Old Ranch. Leo and his crew did an amazing job feeding tacos to our approximately 200 guests! Everyone commented that they were the best street tacos they've had! Ordered 2 Carne Asada plates. I was expecting a copious amount of tender, flavorful grilled beef cut into little strips, served with fixings, sides and tortillas with which to make my own tacos. Their Carne Asada was a large, quarter-inch thick piece of grilled beefsteak, served with grilled onions and a grilled whole jalapeno pepper, with a small amount of iceberg lettuce, and a couple of slices each of cucumbers, tomatoes and radishes. The beefsteak was burnt around the edges, and hard to cut with the flimsy plastic "spork" and knife provided. Sides were lacking in both quantity and quality. They gave us each about one tablespoon of Refried Beans, which had dissolved to the point of not being able to identify it as beans. At first I thought it was just a bit of sauce. They gave us each about one and a half tablespoons of Mexican Rice, which was merely okay, pretty dry. Price seemed reasonable at $7.00 per plate, but still felt cheated based on poor overall quality, and their stinginess with inexpensive sides. Why hold back on beans and rice? Overall, not impressed. We probably won't return, with two other Mexican food choices nearby. read more
