    Shrimp and chorizo. Sooooooo good
    Desi S.

I loved everything about Osp. The ambiance is great. The service impeccable and the food was perfect. The shrimp and chorizo appetizer was incredible; perfectly cooked and great flavor. I had the special lamb kabob plate and the lamb was perfectly cooked. I'd make the trip to Silverton just to eat here! Bravo!

Lemon Pepper Aleppo Chicken, Lemon potato wedges, trio appetizer w/ whipped feta, hummus, chorizo.

We came here after hiking the Trail of Ten Falls at Silver Falls... I swear there is not a better place to treat yourself after a long hike. Everything was AMAZING from the drinks, to the trio appetizer (we got the whipped feta, hummus, and chorizo), and we shared the Lemon pepper aleppo chicken... omg so delicious. My fiancé said "This is the kind of meal that will have your eyes rolling in the back of your head with each bite"... and he's normally a chicken tendies kind of guy. Our waitress was so helpful and kind! And the atmosphere was beautiful... and we didn't feel judged for walking in with our hiking fit on! We will be back!

Food was great. Servers were very nice and friendly. Service was fast once we were seated. It was hard to hear each other due to ambient noise. Could benefit from some noise reduction decor. The seating part was a little disorganized. There were many tables open but the host seemed to be helping with set up also so it took a good half hour to be seated. Overall, it was still a good experience.

    White wine flight and Dolmas
    C Y.

Came in late Thursday evening and sat at the bar. We started with a white wine flight. All very light and delicious. We paired this with the Dolmas. Best I've ever had. They were warm and full of flavor. Loved the sauce. We shared a side greek salad and the garlic chicken entree. The chicken quarter entree was very tasty but very small portion. The chicken itself was more the size of a game hen. Really little. They probably only gave us maybe a half cup of the dauphinoise potatoes. Still very tasty. We then ordered the lemon creme Brulé. Excellent flavor but very runny. All in all the service was great and we enjoyed ourselves.

Another amazing dinner at Oso with some friends. Had the combo plate tonight and it was great! Best part of tonight was the service! We had Sarah (new), and she was great! Service with a smile! Thanks Sarah for making our dinner with friends amazing! Keep up the great work!

Decided to come have dinner here after learning that Guerra's was closed down, a few doors down. The meal was just "okay", nothing great. I ate more off my plate due to being hungry rather than the taste of the food. I ordered the feature Flank Steak Skewer Special. The steak was tough and a bit hard to chew. The side rice was really lumpy and flavourless. I ordered medium rare and some pieces were as ordered but others were well well cooked. Could have used more seasoning for sure! The Black Garlic Chimi-Churi was delicious though! They need to bottle that! Side salad with the house vinaigrette was good. Would I order it again? No!!! Service was great though and the place has a nice ambiance. Very pleasant place to gather with friends. That alone is what the three stars are for! Not many restaurants in Silverton but I honestly don't know that I would recommend this one. Will have to try somewhere else next time.

Rustic bread order - do not skip this, especially the jam!

Wow! This place is a gem! It was a last-minute lunch stopover after a long hike at Silver Falls before heading up to the Portland airport. I got the grilled rustic bread and a Greek salad. Both were incredible, but the best part probably was the accompaniments to the bread. There was a slightly spicy jam that I wish I was eating right now (I dream of that jam!) I sat at the bar and there were at least three different people taking care of me, making sure I had eventing I wanted and needed.

Super fishy and lemony muscles and a white wine pasta sauce

So we ate here two months ago and I couldn't wait to get back here fast enough. The food was absolutely wonderful and amazing. I've been raving about it and telling everybody I possibly can or come in contact with about it. But unfortunately, two months later and my opinion has completely changed. The food was off. It was bland. and nowhere close to where it was two months ago when we first tried this place. We don't live in Silverton and we traveled a little distance to get there not to mention my parents came in all the way from by the Portland airport. It was my mother's birthday, and I took her out to dinner here since I had been raving about how wonderful it was. It was a huge letdown, especially for the amount of money that I paid. So if I'm gonna pay good money for something I expect a good quality product in return and this definitely fell short even the mixed drinks tasted like crap. They did mention that they were a little shorthanded and they had a brand new kitchen manager running the back of house so I guess that would explain some things but still that's not my problem. Say this is a small restaurant and there wasn't that many people in it and they had more than enough staff to run this place, but yet only the hostess seemed to really be working her ass off. The wait for our food was long my rice was hard and crunchy my steak had no sear or flavor my salad dressing was so strong with vinegar it was pretty uneditable the mussels were fishy and way to strong on the lemon the drinks were not tasty and refreshing like the last time we we're here. Oh yeah, and the peanut butter pretzel cheesecake wasn't very good either Hershey's chocolate milk sauce on a plate was pretzels that weren't crunchy and fresh but more wet and chewy and the cheesecake itself almost had a sour taste to it not what I expected from such a fine dining establishment. Not sure I'll be back here for a while. Maybe next time I'll just try a gyro because that seem seems to be more in their wheelhouse then the expensive steak or seafood they ruined. We also got a couple appetizers that I wasn't very fond of either the fried cauliflower add some spanakopita I've had much better spanakopita and the fried cauliflower was just weird. Whatever the sauce they had it in just really wasn't working it wasn't bad it just wasn't good either. So I had to edit my review this place did drop from a 5 star down to a 2 star, but with the reply backhanded apology that I got from the owner it has now dropped to 1 star. Because she felt the need to explain the dishes to me like I don't know anything about food or the troubles of how a restaurant is run. My mother is a great home chef I've been a professional chef for over 35 years. My stepbrother followed in our footsteps with a passion for food once he started living with us and he then graduated culinary school moved to upstate New York and has helped opened over a dozen stuck up restaurants like yours with fresh farm to table menus and with many of farms he shops from that I've personally visited myself not to mention all the local farm we have here that I've worked with in the past. But thank you for assuming I didn't understand the menu description and know nothing about food. As I can see I am not the only bad review that has touched on some of the same subjects I had mentioned. I am sorry if this review offended and upset you but it is my personal opinion and I am only speaking of my experience as I gave you 5 stars the first time I ate here but quality and consistency is key and this time you fell short. As I said the food wasn't horrible it just wasn't good and spectacular like it was on our first visit. And if I was you I'd try to get back your old chef that was running things right and offer him a huge bonus because you are now just riding on his coat tails so get him back or find another good chef before word gets out that the food suck now. And as far as you offering a free dinner after your snide remarks, no thank you and as to why nothing was brought up at the restaurant during my service is because I would never dream of sending anything back to the kitchen and upsetting the flow of the entire restaurant stressing out your cooks and possibly ruining everyone else's meal by or experience. Very unprofessional just like yourself. Say thank you. Have a good day and I doubt we'll be seeing each other again. Oh, and just to let you know since you were so proud of your burger that's not just a burger. My mother did say the burger was actually pretty good. It was just the chunks of gristle that she had to pull from the patty out of her mouth, that was the really nasty part for her. you should've just stuck with. I'm sorry you didn't have a wonderful experience. We all have a bad night. We strive for better and hopefully next time we'll live up to your expectations that probably would've worked out a lot better for you

We reserved on Tock, and it was mostly full on a Friday night. Drinks: lots of local beers are available, but I went with the Pineapple Express: she warned it was spicy, and it indeed was (in a really good way). All of the food is done family style: - Clams Galicia: with tomato, chorizo, bacon broth. This broth as amazing. I literally drank it with a spoon - Pan con tomate: slightly different from classic preparation - more flavorful and heavier on the toppings - Salmorejo: tomato and bread puree, Serrano, jammy egg - like a creamy gazpacho - Grilled asparagus: with whipped ricotta and a cured egg yolk - Squid ink pasta: with hazelnuts, caramelized onions, peppers, and a runny egg yolk, a bit spicy. This dish was my favorite - Honey brined pork chop with a basque piperade sauce The servers were all great about checking in. I would definitely recommend the squid ink pasta and the clams if you're in town!

Music was excellent; audible but not intrusive. Comfy chairs. Lower lighting, well placed. Service was excellent, friendly and fast. I think our server's name was Mikayla; a gem. Attentive and observant but never intrusive. Drinks: my old fashioned was absolutely perfect and my husband's margarita was fine. Appetizers: beer cheese was well balanced and a bit runny, which I prefer over the library paste version some places serve. The elotes dip was a standout, mildly spicy, with lime in the cilantro, and warm, crispy chips. (Whatever is in their seasoning for chips and fries should be sold separately -- I wanted to try it on everything.) We probably should have stopped there, as the portions were abundant, but our mains were amazing. Smash burger was insanely juicy, nice and onion-y with a few Crunchy Brown Bits around the edges. The roll was fresh and tender, with a good crust; flavorful, not just a shingle. The fries were the best I've had in Salem. Get the garlic-thyme upgrade; you won't regret it. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they were out of both compound butters, apparently due to a busy Friday, but everything was well seasoned. The vegetable of the day was roasted Brussels sprouts with a sweet-and-salty sauce, almost like kettle corn; amazing. The outer leaves were caramelized without being burned, and the hearts were tender but not mushy. Crispy fried onions were perfect. Fried potatoes were fine, and enriched by their placement between the steak and the sprouts. The diners who came in before us were all smiles when they left, so it wasn't a fluke.
