Stopped by here as a pit stop & a must by my friends as they road trip south on the 5 frequently! The menu (so affordable too!) is such a delicious experience reading the menu options as well how you can have them prepared for you. We had the california and oregon burrito toasted, w the additional options to have the guac & sour cream within the burrito. It was so nicely prepared and dense! A huge portion - it looked like I barely made a dent in it, it was impressive! lol Service is great, the salsa bar was fun, especially a girl that likes things w spice. We started with the rolled tacos which were fairly bland. Next we had carnitas tacos. These were tastier! I would order them again. After the tacos we moved onto a carne asada burrito. I've been to a lot of Mexican fast food in Oregon and this is one of the better ones by far. Their carne asada fries are top notch. The service is always kind and quick and while I've never been inside the restaurant I am sure ambiance is lovely as we are so kind while in the drive through, I am sure they are kind inside as well. I've had most of the menu and haven't been disappointed. Of course this isn't for every one but I do recommend at least trying it once. My neighbor treated us to burritos while we were moving in and I never did get the name of the place where he got them from. Fast forward nearly a year and a half, and I finally found it by chance, hiding in plain sight. Located on Market street off Lancaster, Aibertos is a former Taco Bell across from Fred Meyers gas station and the bright yellow exterior is hard to miss. I imagine one of the reasons I've not tried thus far is the difficulty getting to it from the eastbound lane. Once I made it to the parking lot, I was challenged to find a website or a current menu online. I pulled into the drive thru lane behind another car, got up to the window and apparently missed the mic and sign where I was supposed to place my order. Needless to say, the experience was confusing and left much to be desired, but I was allowed to place an order and pull back around to wait for it. In no time, a woman came out and delivered my order to my car. I got home and found myself in burrito heaven! I'd ordered a chicken supreme burrito for the daughter and a spicy pork (Adobada) for myself with a side of guacamole and chips. I must admit, I'd never seen guac served ON chips and would have preferred them separately, but I'll know to ask next time. The homemade of sauces provided were a good variety and complimented everything perfectly. I understand they have some pretty mean breakfast burritos that I'll have to try next time. Decent Mexican food. Loved the carne asada fries, there was so much and loaded with perfection. My husband enjoyed the San Diego burrito and rolled tacos. I thought the rolled tacos were a bit dry. I also got carne asada and pollo asado tacos and I was not a fan. Meat seemed dry and there was too many toppings to meat ratio. Green salsa is by far the best there. I was craving Mexican food and working out of town. I can't say much about the inside of this place because it has a drive through that I utilized both times I went other than the parking lot was packed both times Yeah both times. Yup, the food, It was so good I went twice. I ordered an Oregon burrito and some tacos expecting regular sized food. But no. That Oregon burrito was like 2 pounds and the size of my forearm. Placed an order through Uber as the fam was craving Mexican. Hadn't tried this place yet, and let me tell you, if you are on the fence about ordering, ABSOLUTELY ORDER! I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, side of rice and beans for my kiddo, and I got three rolled beef tacos. Also got horchata and piña to wash everything down. The order came with oodles of green and red sauce. The burrito was gigantic! Absolutely could be cut in half and still be a monster portion. Best flavor of beans and cheese, which I know is fairly easy to get right, but the consistency and the flavor was amazing just in that. And the tortilla is one of the best I've had in all of the tortillas I've sampled in Salem. The rolled beef tacos were crunchy and flavorful and paired really well with the Verde sauce. And speaking of sauce, that's the best Verde sauce I've had. I don't do extreme spice very well, and it was spicy without being ridiculous and the consistency was wonderful. I would order jars of that if I could. The horchata is the best I've had, hands down. I can't describe exactly why. It's balanced in sweetness and cinnamon, it's not thick and doesn't leave that nasty film in the mouth like some do. The piña was refreshing, although a bit too sweet for my taste but still really good. Overall, would rec that everyone try and I will be sampling more of the menu ASAP. I understand that it's 'Americanized Mexican' food, but I would much much much prefer this to some of the other places I've tried in Salem. This place has been my go-to for burritos. This morning, 2/08/25, i ordered burritos again and was so excited. I'm not sure if the guy working was new or not but he ruined my morning. he didn't wrap the burrito too well and as soon as I picked it up, tortilla opens up and just spill everywhere. I usually order from this place through DoorDash and it's definitely one of my favorite comfort foods, especially the Carne Asada Fries! DO NOT eat their fries when cold (I forgot about them overnight when my dasher left it on my doorstep) and mind you, they get soggy and dull within a short amount of time so try eating while it's still warm :) only issue I would have is not receiving utensils with some of my orders. Im not going to bore you with all the details of the quality ingredients they over stuff the tortilla to create a huge Burrito. They are perfectly seasoned and don't need any additions although if you don't slather it with the provided salsa you will be missing out. Went here on a whim due to navigation suggestion and were VERY happy. Due to food allergies, they were great about all our requests and issues. Mom had the tacos, she really liked them, my daughter had a spicy burrito and loved it and I had the super burrito with chicken and it was really good. The Horchata and Pineapple drinks were really good as well. I brought a chicken quesadilla home for my husband and he couldn't eat the whole thing but really liked it. I got the veggie burrito, and my friends got the veggie RIA burrito and the California burrito. We did the drive-thru, and it took about 10 minutes between ordering and receiving the food. Our burritos were delicious; the only issue for me was that I didn't realize my burrito came with fries inside. That being said, it was still a tasty burrito overall. Skip this place and support a small business taco truck instead. There are several excellent ones on Silverton Rd alone. Alberto's *used* to be pretty good. Prices were good, portions were huge. Post Covid? A joke. So many businesses are milking the whole pandemic thing and socking absurd price hikes. $4 for a small chicken taco...HUH?? Over 2x what they cost pre-Covid and those were bigger. For half what you would spend here for Americanized "authentic" Mexican food you could get *actual* authentic Mexican food from one of the local trucks. Even Al-Pastor which is technically Lebanese-Mexican is still more authentic than what you get here. High five! The best burritos around! They are huge and the flavors are authentic, fresh and will leave your mouth watering for more. The customer service and friendliness the second you walk in the door sets the mood for a great experience. When we first started coming here I was a bit concerned as it was very run down Inside and a bit dirty but the delicious food kept me coming back. Recently they gave the restaurant a facelift and it looks great! Prices are cheap cheap cheap, however I would pay way more and still keep coming back for their food. Definitely give them a try. This is the WORST food I've ever had in my life!! My husband said it was good so I trusted him. He ordered, went to pick up and brought home a soggy wet cubanna sandwich that was completely wet, the bread was wet with nasty old tasting guacamole and stringy wilted lettuce, the second you pick it up it literally falls apart, and the meat was super dry and hard with little to no flavor. He ordered a box of carne asada fries that was the same way, wet with old guacamole and flavorless dry meat. He also ordered 2 chicken quesadillas for the kids that had dry meat that falls out everywhere because there's little to no cheese to hold it in. He spent over $30 on this crap and I couldn't be more pissed because I feel like we've been duped and our money would have been better spent elsewhere.... I cannot recommend this place whatsoever!! I have been meaning to stop in the "Infamous" Aibertos for quite some time. I wanted to see what I was missing out on all of these years. The people that have told me about this place grew up in L.A, so I usually trust them when they say the place has great taco's, and etc. they have never steered me in the wrong direction. I tend to trust the judgment of the people who are the true taco cart fans from the streets of L.A. all of this being said here is my experience. When walking in the place was packed, but seemed a little dirty. There was a huge menu board. So much to choose from. I went with the adoboda, plate, and carnitas taco, my Son's both ordered taco's, not sure the meat. One had a burrito. I am really impressed. The flavors were phenomenal. No one can beat the flavors of the beans, and rice, and also the meats were in a category of their own. I also liked their red, and green sauce. My complaint would be is how dirty it was, and the amount of flies that were in the air. It was kind of a turn off. Kind of bummed me out because of how much I liked the food. I hope this is not always a huge issue, maybe it is something they can take a look at, and do something about, because I have family in the Salem area, and would love to stop back in if the issue was fixed. read more

Aiberto's, not to be confused with Alberto's, had to have been a former Muchas Gracias at some point as the menu is virtually identical. But like Muchas Gracias, the food, the service, and the prices are fantastic and all this can be had 24 hours a day. The area is about as downtrodden as it gets in Salem as there are endless potholes in the parking lot and shady characters walking around in the area. Don't be surprised if lady street walkers stroll into the joint during all hours of the night scarfing on cheap Mexican food. One of the big misconceptions of this place and all similar Muchas Gracias type places is that it is Mexican "fast food." While there is a drive through and a franchised menu, the food is hardly fast. I have had to wait 10 minutes in a drive through line (and even longer during the night) while they prepared the food. Even though the food is greasy, it's the perfect compliment to a drunken late night out and satisfies any Mexican craving. read more
