The corn tortillas were cut down the middle like they used a knife to open the package. Rice was bland and had no flavor. Lines were long to order and you pretty much order everything on your own. Make sure to read the menu carefully because everything you want is on there I was told. For example if you do not tell them to cut or quarter the whole bird, it will be whole. Last error, was not being told about choosing a free dessert with a purchase of $15. While waiting for my order I overheard them offering a free dessert to a customer because they had a promo offer. Don't think I will be back. There are better places to go to get treated like this.

The ones they did have where only thighs and they looked pretty old, next to the grab and go was a Flamin chicken. This restaurant looked promising with having good chicken displayed. When I went to go pay I asked for a full chicken. We got the chicken, and payed an outrageous 10 dollars. We walked out and as soon and as I felt the bag it felt small. We where missing parts, it was disgusting and dry, dry like leather, it had burnt parts but not the good type of burn like bacon. The type of burnt that makes you visibly gag. Definitely not worth the price, service, or drive. They did have other chicken that looked good but for some reason we got the bad chicken. Maybe the good chicken was only for display. Who knows anymore! Not risking it for the vomit and bad after taste.

A very popular border market! This market attracts tourist from far and wide as well as valley…read morelocals! It is a hotspot for medical tourism. Dirt cheap prescription medicines along the many pharmacies here. A wide array of cosmetic surgery, dentist, and optometrist clinics are available along the main strip, all at very affordable prices! Another great find are the many liquor stores here that offer very cheap bottles of your familiar liquor! All, up and down the main strip your going to find a wide array of merchants selling everything from authentic Mexican textiles, shoes, boots, Mexican candy stores, clothes, Mexican pottery, jewlery, souvenirs, curiosities, fine leather products such as purses, etc and so much MORE. Servises such as spas and cosmologist salons are a big thing here as well. Don't forget THE FOOD! You'll find many restaurants serving authentic Mexican food and seafood at a fraction of the price of what you would have paid for it right across the border! One of our favorite features of shopping in Nuevo Progresso is the many, many bars that are in every other store serving up delicious margaritas and your favorite beers and cocktails. It turns a fabulous international shopping spree into a FIESTA!
