The baba ghanouj had just the right amount of spice. Warm, balanced, and incredibly flavorful. The tabbouleh was so fresh and refreshing that I'm already trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, exactly how I like it: packed with flavor. The hummus was simply divine. The best hummus I've ever had. Paired with the soft, fresh pita, every bite was perfect. The garlic sauce instantly brought me back to my childhood. Some flavors have a way of unlocking memories, and this was one of them. And the tea was the perfect ending. It's been my "Go-To" spot for years now, as El Pato is just a few yards away and gets extremely packed at lunch and honestly their tacos are smaller and not consistent. But still go to. El Pato out of necessity when Il just going to drive through and can't stop. The food here at La Morenita Bakery has a more homemade authentic "casera" flavor to me, and they do not skimp or cheat you out of your hard earned dollars here. They have these old school cafeteria tables that are bolted into the ground. So do you sit down and order with a waitress? There's a counter on the right side...do they seat you? On the wall, they have all the plates you can choose from...with no price. Why? Are we doing a guessing game? Can you imagine going to a place like McDonalds...and they have no prices next to their burgers? Why? So you take a guess on the price on what you want to order....the food "looks" good. But they give it to you on these old school cafeteria plates. Come on guys...do some investments on new cutlery and plates.
