There's a small kitchen area where the menu is and where you place your order. Cooks are viciously making the orders that others are placing, and you can hear the constant sizzling of hot dogs on their grills. They have bar seating on the other side along with a bunch of tables close by but they were all taken since it was prime dinner time at 7:30pm on The Strip and people were walking all around the area. We decided to eat over at a nearby taco joint in the end. Both of us got their D.U.I. Dog, which has pastrami, carne asada, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, a ton of cilantro and chipotle aioli (a mayonnaise kind of sauce). Very packed with flavor with all the meats inside, and the cheese melts so well inside the hot dog. They even put this inside a relatively big carton container, the same kind I've seen the staff put their D.U.I. Fries in... holy crap those are some huge portions! For $18 before tax though, this hot dog was already slightly massive for its size, at just about a foot long. Very nice start to a great time in Vegas! Also a great hot dog stand with immensely tasty dogs.

Imagine how excited I got when someone posted that it was on the SW area! I surprised my daughter by taking her here after school one day. This girl doesn't eat veggies, but she'll eat corn, elotes to be specific. There was no line when we showed up, but a few minutes after we ordered, people started to show up and formed a line. We brought a med bag of hot Cheetos and ordered the elotes with everything on it and a mango passion fruit aguas Fresca. Everything was DELICIOUS and worth every penny. Price point was great, I don't feel they're overcharging and you get a lot! IMO I would recommend bringing a small/med bag of chips. I think if you bring in a family size bag, it's going to be way too much, unless you can normally finish a bag that size in one sitting, otherwise it'll be a waste. Like in my case. We couldn't finish up all the hot Cheetos in the medium bag.

The parking situation was stressful and they had very limited options in a small space. This year's night market was ten times better and in a bigger space at the Rio. I was on the fence about going given last year's bad experience, but after seeing the vendor list, I was excited to try a couple of vendors that I had not seen before. I really enjoyed the selection this year and tried several things. The things I was most excited about trying were the pizza baos and hwachae. The pizza baos were a bit of a disappointed and tasted raw on the inside. The hwachae was very good. I also had some chicken skewers, noodles, and mango slushy. The biggest downside was the price and if you are someone on a budget, I would say skip this one.

At first I was hesitant to choose this truck as everyone else seemed to be going to some of the other trucks in the food court area. However the small (six items) had a few different choices that sounded good to me so I took the leap and was glad I did. The menu has a little Chinese, a bit of Mexican, some American and most items are a fusion of all three. Simone opted for the Thai Chicken Skewers, with Peanut Sauce and Spicy Cucumber Salad. While this was fairly basic it was also very good in its simplicity. Juicy marinated grilled thigh meat with mild peanut sauce. The cucumber salad was not overly hot but had just enough of a vinegary red pepper spicy kick. I ordered a Spicy Chino Burrito ( is it okay to say Chino?) A large grilled flour tortilla was stuffed generously with fired popcorn chicken, Chinese fried rice and a lightly sweetened orange soy glaze. Although the chicken was of the frozen variety it was perfectly crispy and the fried rice was loaded with veggies and egg and not over flavored with soy sauce as you may find in some of your more local Chinese places. To finish off the meal we had the very American Deep Fried Oreo, done perfectly with Tempura Batter. These were not at all greasy and the Oreo on the inside were still had a bit of that cookie crunch. They came in an order of three but they were so good we doubled up the order and got six. They were the perfect indulgence. I would suggest the Hot Mess if you are able to find it in Vegas. 4 stars.
