Anytime I see phin in the name or a drink available at the establishment, I know that's where I need to get coffee from. That was the draw, period. Cutest uniform equipped with the newsboy hats and everything. Button up, vest... uniforms or just any nice get-up and I am highly amused. Sometimes it's in the details that makes everything come together. Presentation from looks, ambience, set the tone. Drinks did not disappoint. Service was spot on too. They have you try your drink in a sample cup to be sure it's made exactly to your liking. From the outside it looked like either this was a new location or the area was still being developed. Building materials packed up nearby, still neat but obvious. But as soon as you step inside it's like none of that even existed. Parking looks like it could be a bit tricky especially seeing how packed they were. Could be an great place to chill but finding a spot would not be the easiest. Really enjoyed my visit to Phin Smith! The place was very clean and welcoming, and once you step inside, the space is actually really nice and cozy. The staff was also very friendly and made the experience even better. I tried their popular Banana Coffee along with the calamansi tea, and both were absolutely delicious. While she made my order, someone else helped me check out. I found a table to sit on and do some studying. It was pretty busy. They have charging outlets along the wall, which is nice. Ok My 2nd visit but last time was a quick order and go. This time I ordered and enjoyed my matcha latte. I only had mocha last time (both with oat milk). I almost ordered Vietnamese coffee but I saw matcha latte and thought, I haven't had in a while. After paying, now I remember why I have coffee at home nowadays. What a beautiful cafe. VERY busy, long line but moved fairly quickly, we were in and out in 10-15 minutes max. Lots of seating options, a little loud so bring headphones if studying here! Anthony was absolutely incredible with us. We placed our order and he asked if it was our first time, and I said it was. He said he would make our drinks and call us over when they were ready to taste before we paid for them. I have never experienced that before in any coffee shop and was blown away. He made our drinks very quick, they looked amazing and tasted perfect on the first try. My banana coffee is not overtly strong and could definitely taste the banana in the milk. The strawberry matcha was very strawberry forward, if you like sweeter tasting more mellow matcha then this is definitely the place for you. My new favorite when I'm in Spring Valley! There is usually a line, however it does go by quickly. You order your coffee, then you wait on the side to get it. I love the fact that if it's your first time, they let you try the coffee first before paying. Their motto is that they want you to love your coffee so if you don't, they'll fix it for you till you love it. My friends and I came in on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't a line. You order with the people at the counter and then pay once you get your drink at the end. One of the BEST spots for matcha and coffee! The long lines are for a good reason. Personally I come here for matcha but their coffees are also solid. The blended blueberry matcha is hands down my favorite. Try it and thank me later. I also love how they let you try a sample of your drink to make sure you like it before leaving. This review is based on two recent visits - the most recent on 3/4/26. A friend told me about this coffee shop and couldn't stop raving about their ground beans, along with their O'ahu Joe beverage. First impression... the interior of this place is beautiful. I just wanted to hang out there all day. The Javacado is a drink that enticed me since I'm always weak for avocado. I enjoyed this smoothie consistency, though I didn't expect Java Chips to almost be syrup like near the bottom. as someone that doesn't enjoy chocolate, this was definitely a risk. I was expecting more bite-sized chocolate chips sprinkled on, but it appeared to be a syrup in the bottom - hard to avoid on first sips and very strong and sweet! Outside of the drinks, Phin Smith has many tables for lounging around as well as to get work done; several people can be see working on their laptops here. We live in southern CA and down the street from the original Phin Smith location in Orange County but my BIL was craving for Vietnamese coffee on the drive to Vegas and decided to check out this location. We got the caphe brûlée which is an egg coffee. They will ask you if you want it Saigon or Hanoi style. Meaning condense milk for Saigon style or black for Hanoi style. We went with Saigon style for the sweet and creaminess. Prior to this, we had already stopped at an American coffee shop. The more I try different coffee, Vietnamese coffee is just the best. The coffee at Phin is strong, bold, Smokey nutty, bitter taste just how I like it. This location is huge with many tables compared to the OC location. They offer unique flavors like peanut butter coffee which I have never seen before. Banana coffee and avocado coffee is another specialty. My go to from Phin Smith had always been the ice blended coconut coffee. Service was super quick. The line to order was long but moved quickly. This review isn't about the coffee itself, but about the shop's communication strategy. The Korean Corn Latte has been out of stock for a long time. Until recently, there was no indication of this until you tried to order it. As of my last visit, they've added a handwritten note on the door that's visible when you walk in. However, there's still no announcement online, and their phone number isn't listed on Google or Yelp. This means the only way to know if the drink is available is to drive over and check in person. I'd recommend either removing the Korean Corn Latte from the menu or implementing a better system for communicating out-of-stock items. read more

Drink & Service is great BUT PLEASE BE WARNED!! When there is no available parking DO NOT PARK AT THE GAS STATION NEXT DOOR. There was no parking available for over 20 mins. I decided to park at the gas station (shouldn't have done that) they had legal signage that they will tow my vehicle. I walked towards the shop and as soon as I got to the door a tow truck swooped in and towed my car, not giving me a chance to run up and dispute or move it. It costed me $400 + an uber ($20) please people be advised don't park anywhere near the gas station they are waiting for you to park your car and take it immediately!! My uber was already parked and waiting for us to order an uber. It's a trap, don't let them play you. A $400 lesson for the people. read more

TLDR: best sweet matcha in vegas, be prepared for lines, and don't get light ice! No other cafe in Vegas does matcha like Phin Smith! They beautifully crafted a sweet matcha that isn't overly milky and still captures the essence of matcha. I will warn matcha connoisseurs who prefer a classic, not-too-sweet matcha latte, they might not like it. However, I consider them a treat as a "dessert matcha," because you can easily make a good "classic" matcha latte at home. I always come back because you can never recreate Phin's Strawberry Matcha ‍ The Strawberry Matcha reminds me of the strawberry creme in Strawberry Yanyan. It tastes like a creamy strawberry with vanilla tones as opposed to a fresh strawberry jam However, I will say to not get less ice. I typically opt for less ice since I an a slow sipper and don't like my drink watered down, but when I order less ice with them, the drink doesn't come out cold. The service is always great, however, always keep in mind the long wait times. There is often no line close to opening and closing hours. If you want to come here to do cafe work, it is a bit loud and the wifi is spotty, so I find a hotspot and noise cancellation headphones an essential.
