Helen was still so welcoming even after we 4 strangers popped in without an appointment. To top it off, we were all new to the process of pottery painting. Helen was so patient and helpful that it made all the difference in the world. And don't get me started on the value....it is so inexpensive! There is no way that she is running this place with any profit. It's clearly a labor of love for her! We had a fantastic experience and were grateful that Helen was so accommodating. She also hosts Paint Nites so we will definitely schedule that in the future with her! She's a gem and Benicia (and the surrounding areas) is lucky to have her!!!

The art studio was an unexpected delight! I had no idea it was there! I must have spent over an hour in the smallish studio. We chatted with an artist or 2 and just really enjoyed all of the art! People are so creative and full of passion and art is a great way to share with the world. Perspective is everything. They have a website you should check out if you would like to visit. I most definitely recommend doing that and then checking out Mare Island. Make a day of it!

We had no idea what to expect going in, but we were extremely happy to see such a cute and intimate set up! The host, Jennifer, planned this night SO WELL. She had macaroons, cookies, coffee/tea for us to enjoy, with relaxing music playing in the background. Jennifer also had a massage therapist, Anna, join and offer each of us a massage (amazing!). As for the activity itself, the watercolor painting was really fun and relaxing to do. We were able to turn our watercolor art into cute bookmarks. (Stickers, hole punchers, and tassels were all provided!) On top of everything provided, we even got a small gift bag to take at the end of the night. My friend and I can't wait to take another one of Jennifer's classes in the future

It's been a long week and this was just what I needed. She had someone there to do massages, had tea, coffee, yummy sweets, key chain making, and a beautiful art project. It's mostly centered around the Georgia and Marin Street area, with participating galleries around the block on Sacramento and Virginia Streets. There is indoor and outdoor art vending, live music on the street and many dining options. Illuminated sculptures lead you to participating spaces. Get ready for winter and check out this monthly social event, wander between shops and galleries, soaking up the joy and the unpredictable interaction of creative minds in an event centered on original art and community. Watch the town come alive and see how it feels when the downtown is vibrant and celebrating. If you would like to display your art as a vendor this is a very easy event. All artists please check in at the corner of Georgia and Marin before setting up. There are no fees to participate and locations on sidewalks are first come first served. The best places to set up are on the sidewalk on the northwest corner of Georgia and Marin down to Virginia street. We encourage artists to stay close together near the center and not spread out. Please ask for permission before setting up in front of an open shop. If there is any question about location, the shop owner's have final say over their storefront. This is an outdoor and indoor event and we are encouraging people to be respectful of health risks, so please do wear masks, especially when entering an indoor space. Each month we gather to reunite and celebrate at this multi-cultural event. Art Walk is a natural expression of the way it could be every night, as the downtown strives to fulfill its vision of a healthy and vibrant Vallejo. They also had several great local performers perform which was awesome.. I don't know too much about them yet, so I recently attended one of their weekly Tuesday meetings & met a bunch of chill, down to earth group of artists.. their meetings are open to any and all aspiring artists.. Wild at Art As of…read morelate, we've been trying to pick up small pieces of (real) art from local artists to decorate our home, and the Art Gallery Napa fit that bill to a T. They're a collective of 53 local artists that display all their wares in one shop that's conveniently located along the main drag in DT Napa. They aren't your typical art gallery where the pieces cost more than a car--or a house in some places--as they have pieces of original art in pretty much anyone and everyone's wheelhouse; the prices start as low as $50 and as high as ±$1k, with most pieces being in the less than $500 range. The service is welcoming, not pushy at all, and the mood isn't stuffy as most art galleries tend to be where you need a Black AmEx just to walk in the door. Highly recommended to come check it out, even if you're not currently in the market for art. You just might find something that captures your eye and imagination.

My man and I took the opportunity to go and check out the art and artists on a free date idea day. We saw so many interesting artists. It was a wonderful experience. You do also have the opportunity to buy art as well. They haven't had the event for quite a while due to the pandemic so this was the first year open in over two years. It was a fantastic experience. I've taken up acrylic painting and really wanted to come and feel inspired. I truly was inspired and was highly encouraged by so many artists to pursue my painting more. If you're into art and want a fun, interesting date idea bring your favorite person to come check out the wonderful art.
