Drove from far away. I have been wanting to come to this store for a while since it has such good reviews. I was turned away because they only have appointments on Saturdays and weekdays aren't open at a convenient time. Every time I try to come here on a weekday, they're closed. This has nothing to do with what they sell or how nice they are. Just that there should be something on here saying what their real hours are or how they're managing. Worked my whole day around (find a baby sitter, go to other stores to wait for them to open, etc) to make time to come here just to be turned away. Sucks. I just recently took up making jewelry and I was amazed to see a store this close to home, so I decided to look it up. Its in downtown Vallejo, in a nice little area. The shop is small and a little easy to miss, but its there! Its a cute shop with a decent selection of toggles, charms and beads. However they dont have much of a selection when it comes to swarovksi (which is what I was hoping for). I walked out with a nice chain and a really pretty toggle. This morning me and my daughter (actually my daughter, but of course I went..;-)) was invited to a beading party by one of my daughter's close friends. Who would've thought this would be one of the most fun, versatile, inexpensive and easy ways to celebrate a birthday party. Based on the variety of age difference, the beading birthday party was a great idea for girls from preschool age to teens and it's a great idea for the kids because it's easy to do and we had easy access to all the beading Pomegranate provided, which allowed the girls where to pick up all kinds of fun beads. Birthday parties are always fun, but something about this one was particularly great. I loved seeing all the girls working on their projects and they all had a blast. It was super fun and easy to set up, very doable regardless of the size, totally stress-free and didn't cost a fortune. Each girl took home her creation in a beautiful box that Pomegranate provided. Plus they were able to take extra beads and findings to make another project at home. I could not believe what a huge hit this beading party was! These girls absolutely devoured the project and were thrilled to have this "real" beading experience! read more

I was referred here by a close friend. I have never seen so many beautiful beads. Great findings, all the threads, wire, seed beads, classes for beading are given. I had a great piece and needed smaller beads to go with it. The owner took me in a completely differrnt direction than I had thought of. Her creativity was very needed. I love every bead I have purchased there. And especially appreviate their help, there clases on seed beads etc. All kinds of cool things still to learn. This place is definitely a nice, unexpected treasure in Vallejo. Little but has a comfortable, home feel to it. It's on a random street in Vallejo so drive slowly or it's easy to pass it! The selection at first seems small but there are actually drawers and cabinets under the counters so don't leave without checking out the whole collection. I actually found some pieces I needed last minute because I overlooked some beads at first that were in boxes, not directly in display. I think the best part is not so much the atmosphere or the collection but the owner of the store. The lady is clearly passionate over beading and makes a lot of her own pieces and holds weekly workshops in the back of the store. I like that she gives me just enough attention so that I don't feel ignored but not so much that I feel watched. Good spot...I would recommend. read more

This is a great shop. I like vintage jewerly and one of my necklaces broke and I lost some of the beads . I was able to match the beads in the necklace with some of their vintage beads. This was a plus for me. Now this is my goto shop for findings and new beads as well. I plan on taking a couple of the seed bead classes in the large classroom/workshop. It's worth checking out. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. For a bead store it's super organized and has lots of offerings without being too overwhelming. On top of that, there's a FOR REAL sense of community of creaters and artists who love and enjoy beading and support each other. And best part, based on my interactions with Dava alone (and Marilyn for the brief 2 mins I met her), the staff is super knowledgeable, super helpful and super friendly. I spent nearly a half a day there yesterday just getting my creative juices flowing and talking to Dava... who is literally the nicest person I've met in Vallejo since moving here. Stopped by today and was pleasantly surprised. Cute shop and such a helpful lady, who I believe is the owner. I am not a jewlery maker and have no tools, but needed to finish an antique necklace I got. She found me the pieces I needed and put them on for ne. She did not want to charge me for her time, which I thought it was real cool. I did pay though because it was worth it for me and also because the minimum for a credit card payment is $10 and my purchase didn't even add up to$2...understandable for small business. I was so pleased with the thoughtfulness, price, and customer service at Beads and Pomegranate seeds. I brought in three tangled, broken beaded necklaces that seemed hopeless and they fixed them in a matter of hours, making sure to text me every step of the way to make sure I was comfortable with the pricing and aesthetic. They even offered to buy back some of the unused beads in order to bring the cost down. The necklaces look brand new. I would definitely recommend them :) read more

I was delighted, and feel good about referring my customers to Beads In Pomegranate Seeds. Staff was great, very friendly and fun to talk to. Pricing is rock bottom, so you will get a great deal. They have a beautiful selection of seed beads, both Czech and Delicas (the Delicas are in a cabinet, so ask for help if you don't see them).
