So we took the family out for dinner tonight, decided to order a margarita to go with our meal. It was the absolute worst margarita we have ever had! When I informed our waiter about it he said he could do nothing about it that I had to talk to the manager. So I talked with the manager who told me there was nothing he could do about it and that they have never had any complaints before. A little later they sent someone to my table to ask what was the issue, I explained to her that I had already spoken to our waiter and the manager about it and was told there was nothing that could be done about it, and that I didn't see what she would be able to do. When she left a group of ladies sitting near us asked what the problem was and I explained it to them, their response was and I QUOTE "I'm so glad that you complained about that, they think it is only us that complains" So apparently I'm NOT the only one who complained and it certainly appears that others have and are still experiencing the same problem! El Dorado is a very trendy restaurant with the McComb community. You can come here to get a quick bite with your friends or even a birthday dinner with your whole family. The food is very good and fresh and always comes out hot. The staff here is overall pretty nice, but Oscar is definitely the standout. He always asks about you and is very concerned on how your experience at El Dorado is. He truly makes the trip to El Dorado worth it solely with his charming and welcoming personality. Service was fast. Chips and salsa were fine. Ordered combination burito/enchilada plate with beans and beans. The beans and burito were fine. The enchilada was inedible due to being way too salty. Like a spoonful of salt. Informed waiter and received an "I'm sorry". No offer to get another one, or something else. We received our ticket for the full price of the plate. My sister and I were staying in town for a long weekend and ended up eating at El Dorado twice. We both love it. It's the classic Mexican food that is found at normal chains like El Torero, et. al. If this is supposed to be authentic Mexican, I would suggest the cook be sent back to Mexico for additional training!! I took the family here once, we'll never go back. For starters, when only 2 tables are occupied during the evening rush, something's up. We evidently didn't get the memo. We went right on in, sat down, and began our long wait, for someone to serve us. When we finally got some libations and ordered our dinner, we had to wait forever for our food, it was ridiculous! This is a restaurant for people with stomach ulcers. They can dine here safely because this is the blandest Mexican food you can imagine. The salsa was tomato juice. The enchilada sauce was tomato juice. To be fair, I did detect a single tiny piece of grated onion in the salsa. It looked so lonely and dispirited that I rescued from its tomato juice prison and released it into the wild when we left the restaurant. I was anxious to see if my order of an inherently spicy choriqueso dip could possibly be bland, but the server never brought it, so I'll never know. I suspect the reason this place has not gone bankrupt is because its proximity to the Interstate 55 exit ramp ensures a daily crop of new, innocent victims. Decided upon Mexican and pulled into a full parking lot- Chile Relleano Pablano, Carnitas and Chimi-changa were awesome. Best carnitas since leaving Arizona. So my standards are set pretty high but I gotta give it yo ya el dorado ya got it a goin pretty good. But I still best cook when it comes to authintic mmexican food, but anyways since I don't own a restraunt just yet your in the lead on coustomer service, taste , preparation time on orders and my fav CLEANLINESS! Prices are reasonable still menu is still same thats good easy to find what u want especiallynif u go like I used to when you had the one in hattiesburg open, well lets just say I was there bout every day then I wound up workin there lol.
