Came in for Thursday stromboli night ($9.95 for a small) with a group of friends. We were able to snag a high top table next to the bar and were quickly brought menus and had our drink orders taken. The servers we interacted with were all friendly and did come to check on us a few times throughout our dinner. It was busy in there and I'd say it took about 15 mins for our stromboli orders to come out. They were all piping hot and oozing with cheese. I was surprised at the size of the small for the price. It's definitely a good deal. I had the buffalo chicken with medium buffalo sauce and it was definitely on the more mild side. I was about halfway through when I found a small chicken bone in there I guess it's good to know they're probably using fresh chicken that they dice up themselves, but I could've easily damaged a tooth. Everyone else at the table loved their food and had no issues. The parking lot is small, a weird angle, and probably fits about 10 cars. There is parking across the street. They have two bathrooms, one men and one women's. The women's was clean and had a few different scented soaps, sprays, and plenty of paper towels. read more

I don't know how to rate this place. I have done take out, eaten dinner there and come in for breakfast. The staff is friendly and I had a problem once and they fixed it immediately and with a smile. Interior is sports bar theme with NASCAR, Kent state and various memorable on the walls. It is very well lit. Very well. Someone needs a dimmer switch. Breakfast is bad, just not good. Not a fan of the breakfast pizza or the pancakes. I advise against getting breakfast here Pizza and wings are okay. Nothing special. As a breakfast place 1 star. I think we probably should've turned around and left, but it was already a disappointing day and we didn't want to deal with the downtown traffic in Kent so we came here for pizza. The pizza itself was good . We got a vegetarian pizza, but calling a vegetarian deluxe is a misnomer because it only comes with 3 items on it. we had to add onions and tomatoes, and my friend added pineapple to his side. The service was fair . we felt a little bad for a waitress because she was not really well groomed or conversational. She seemed a little confused by our questions like if we could make a club soda and juice for us at the bar since we don't drink soda pop did not want tapwater. The place does not sell bottled water. The food choices are extremely acceptable for Jewish or Muslim or anyone else that doesn't want pork . Or doesn't want cheese with meat. Every single hamburger literally comes with cheese on it, and most of them had pork as well. You can leave those items off, but then what do you have left? Same thing with the pizzas and the calzones and probably everything else on the menu, but I forget . It's loud and casual and most of the seats. Are those high kind of barstool kind of things with a wooden back neither comfortable nor practical if you are older or have a medical issue. Fortunately they cleaned off a booth for us although that was bits of stuff on the benches the table was cleaned off! For a sports bar, I was not impressed . Personally I hate sports, but you would expect larger screen TVs, and some kind of decor that tells you it is a sports bar and not just a dented bumper and some jerseys with the name Kent on them. Because of the layout of the place the noise level is high so when more people are in there, it can be hard to hear. Parking area was frankly disgusting . it looks like last year's snow plows broke practically every board in the wooden stockade panel fence around the back. That nothing has been repaired says that nobody cares or that the restaurant is really struggling . Parking is limited. Lighting was fair. Parking area is mostly flat. The location is actually off of a side street, so it's easy to miss if you don't know to turn in and go behind the local subway restaurant . It was just all around an unpleasant and disappointing experience as far as I'm concerned . I would not recommend it. I suppose it's OK as a college hang out if you wanna just get a beer and a pizza and be done with it, and your friends don't have demanding standards at all. The garlic fries one of us ordered as an appetizer were dripping with butter or grease at the bottom by the time he was halfway through, but they did smell good. They cut like steak fries. And they came with some kind of white dip that I think is supposed to be cheese like the dip with the pretzel was.. and the pretzel was a good size. It pretty much filled the paper tray They brought it in for him. I don't think they believe in actual plates. There are no napkins at all what you use are a roll of paper towels at each table . You are provided of crushed red pepper and a jar of Parmesan cheese with your pizza. read more

It tasted really good but looks really weird... Seemed like the only one working was bartender. She said she wasn't a pizza artist. Confusing because it was really good though. I hope if I ever go there again the pizza won't look like that lol. read more

First of all, I don't understand the negative reviews. This is a friendly neighborhood bar, not a mid range restaurant. Given that, this place is good. Strong IPA selection with like 24 taps and a good selection of canned and bottled beer. Nice specials Monday through Friday. The menu is bar food focused on pizza and Stromboli. Those selections are wide ranging. Stromboli is always a good choice and the wings tonight were superb. Tater tots were a little undercooked but it's a bar. The staff is always amazing. So friendly and fast. Good prices. It's also clean. read more

It's a pretty solid sports bar. The Stromboli's are $5.50 on Thursday which is an awesome deal. They're huge, and really good. Our service was really good too, both waitresses were absolutely awesome. The gyro left a lot to be desired. Dry gyro meat and no tzatziki sauce. Stick with the Stromboli's and wings and you'll be happy. read more

I don't like the environment in the bar/restaurant but I don't mind the pizza. It can honestly be described as mid but I live really close so the convenience is a plus for me. The only unique thing about the pizza is the crust which is a bit thinner and crispy (rather than a soft/chewy outside), but it's a very nice texture. El Dorado's is a hidden gem in Kent. The in-the-know locals know it and love it. It is tucked behind a gas station and a Mr. Hero, off of the Main Street, so you have to know what you are looking for. The food is fantastic. They are known for their wings. My personal favorite sauce is sweet and tangy, which is exactly as it sounds. It's like candied wings! They also have amazing Stromboli! I recommend getting the American Stromboli, and adding pepper jack cheese! Trust me, the pepper jack MAKES it! They do have a large rest of the menu, however, I am so in love with their Stromboli and wings, that I haven't been able to break away and try something new! Now this is a sports bar, and as such, can get a little noisy and rowdy. This to me, who doesn't really watch sports, is a turn off. But the food is so worth it. read more

Good wings, but don't go there for lunch. I had my send-off lunch here with a few friends. We went to the counter to order, went to the counter to get our food, and went to the counter for our drinks (and refills). I paid the bill (just over $50 for the four of us). I obviously didn't tip because it'd be as weird as tipping at Panera. We had done everything but cook the food. Two days later the charge shows up on my account with a generous tip added in for the old lady who was working the register. I called to complain. She was very rude, and I was told it was standard to add a tip to a bill that large, and that it would come off in a few days. It didn't. I like their wings, but fraud isn't cool with me. Definitely double-check your bank charges. If she did this to someone on a slow day, I'm sure she'd do it again. read more

Everything I've had there is good. They aren't a fast service kind of place. It's a towny divey kind of bar with a lot of beer on tap and good food. They have Midwestern comfort foods like sauerkraut balls, and fried stuff. Their pizza is good and their wings are great. They also have a good selection at their taps. One thing that I did not expect was their quesadillas... when you look at the menu you think "who would pay that much for a quesadilla? Having tried one, I will say this guy will. Arguably some of the best hot wings in Kent, with a massive selection for those that like em insanely hot and those that do not, at a good price too. So.....went there for early dinner. Atmosphere is good, bar is nice. Pizza....not so much. The sauce is super sweet and what is the sausage they use on the pizza? It's like deer pellets. It resembles the sausage that comes in McDonald's burritos. No bueno. We also had the Polish Jalapeño Sausage Bites. Those were good. They were supposed to come with ranch but ours didn't. Probably the worse experience I've ever had. The surly daytime bar tender is very rude and unpleasant but not as much as the owner of the place. Just very rude staff for average food you can find anywhere else. Not worth it at all. The regular customers in there are also rude. Not a very fun or welcoming atmosphere. The daytime bartender provides horrible service. I ordered a 9 dollar chicken breast salad that came out to me very small in proportion and had chicken mcnugget style chicken cubed on top. When I addressed the bartender about the chicken she insisted it was fresh chicken breast, and even after she showed me the pressed chicken parts patty, she still insisted it was chicken breast, rolled her eyes and just walked away from me.
