This is a cool little bar grill I found. They have a long menu and seem to specialize in sandwiches/burgers. There were other items and a full bar, but the Reuben caught my eye. I didn't get a picture but it was huge. It was one of the best Reuben's I've ever had. It came with fresh cut fries and a pickle. The service was somewhat lacking as I sat ignored for the first 5 min but they were 40 min from closing so maybe they were distracted. I will definitely give them another visit soon! read more

We took a little drive north to Bath, Ohio (near Medina) for lunch at Gasoline Alley Café, a spot that's well known for their homemade corned beef, pastrami, and burgers. And let me tell you...this menu made me work for my decision. If you know me, you know I'm a burger guy. But I also have a serious soft spot for great corned beef. Their menu is super diverse -- salads, pizzas, deli sandwiches, burgers, and more -- so decision paralysis is real here. I finally broke down and ordered the giant corned beef sandwich. I added lettuce, tomato, Havarti cheese, and had them grill the rye bread (always grill the rye). It came with hand-cut fries and a trio of pickles: bread and butter, a pickle ring, and a garlic dill spear. Pickle variety matters, folks. This sandwich was excellent. The corned beef was sliced thin, piled high, super tender, and packed with flavor. Honestly? It was so good I didn't even add mustard -- and that says a lot. The grilled rye held everything together perfectly, and the fries were hot, crispy, and exactly what you want alongside a sandwich like this. My wife ordered the Turkey Reuben, made with turkey and coleslaw instead of kraut, also served with fries. She said it was really good as well -- and she's not easy to impress when it comes to Reubens. Would I order the corned beef again? Absolutely. But next time... I have to try a burger. It's calling my name. If you find yourself near Bath, Ohio, do yourself a favor and stop by Gasoline Alley. Came in at 11:30 on a Tuesday for lunch to-go. The place was already crowded. Looks big from the outside, but very small inside. The menu, on the other hand, is HUGE. Not sure why they have such a wide selection of food for such a small place, but what we got was pretty good. I asked for a Greek salad with blackened chicken. I also had a cup of the soup of the day: Chicken bacon ranch. Daughter got the cheesy BLT. Let's start with the soup...nothing short of spectacular. Pulled chicken, hot as Hades,delicious, delicious, delicious. The salad was good (kinda hard to mess it up). The Greek dressing was outstanding. The 'blackened' chicken was more like a Cajun chicken, but decent nonetheless. The cheesy BLT was kinda goofy. A brioche bun with bacon and a slice of melted cheddar cheese. No mayo or sauces, tomato and lettuce on the other side. Not very spectacular, but my daughter did say the bun just melted in her mouth. The fresh cut fries were disappointing. Soggy, not cooked all the way through, not crisp whatsoever. Need to come back again when I can try something other than a salad, making sure I ask for my fries well done! read more

The answer was basically she would see what she could do. Ok.....great! Well, she magically made it happen! She was absolutely delightful, accommodating, and truly a great waitress. Very good service at the bar. A ton of kids with parents, so very family friendly. I had the clam chowder in a coffee cup. Very good flavor with a lot of clams, but the chowder was thin in consistency. Would like to see that thickened up for a chowder. I order one of the special which was a perch basket. Perch was tasty and it's a big portion that is served with hand cut fries. Fries could have used one more drop to stiffen them but we're good anyway. The perch was tender and had good flavor. We drove here from Columbus today (2hrs) to have lunch. The place was super cute. Small but cute. I had the Turkey Rueben with coleslaw and thousand island dressing. The sandwich comes in 2 sizes, Bully (large) and Sissy (small). I had the sissy and it was plenty big enough. The sandwich was very good, the turkey was tender and the slaw was great. It came with a side of handcut fries. They were a little overcooked for me but were good. It also had a few pickles which were good as well. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Gasoline Alley is perfectly named because the food here is GAS. I started with a cup of their homemade chicken noodle soup, which was super comforting and packed with flavor. For my main, I went with the "Ghent"lemans Club Sandwich, and it's massive, definitely enough for two to share. My absolute favorite thing, though, has to be their yogurt sauce. It's the perfect dip for their house-made chips (which I opted for instead of fries), and it's honestly addictive. For those who prefer a vegetarian meal, they've got you covered. Seating indoors is limited and I chose the outdoor patio option which was comfortable and shaded. They offer a full bar with a few wine options, a wide variety of beers and of course mixed drinks. I enjoyed an Italian Sausage Sandwich with homemade marinara. And if you're going to have barflies that are known by every Tom, Dick, and Harry that stops by during the lunch rush, then you're not doing customers any favors by letting them openly talk about getting drunk with the barkeep during work hours while downing everything put in front of them on an open tab. The food is mediocre but edible. It's definitely the highlight of the place, as the service is nothing to write home about. Didn't try the alcohol as it was hard enough to get refills on sodas--while sitting at the bar of all places! Save your money and hit up Chili's. We arrived around noon and got a seat on a Thursday and it was not as crowded as normal. We sat right next to the door which was a mistake. Every time someone came in the front door the wind blew napkins, etc. off the table. I ordered the Minuteman Melt with Provolone Cheese with Potato Latkews. The cheese sandwich was warm and tasted good.The Latkews were hot and crispy with sour cream on the side. I also ordered a bowl of French Onion soup which was great. Our waitress was very friendly and I was happy with the drink special that night, $4 margaritas! We got a few appetizers, fried zucchini and a side of fries. I enjoyed the "fair fry" style here. I ordered the spinach salad with grilled chicken for my entree and so did another friend. The egg was forgotten on both of our salads but our waitress did bring it out quickly once we told her. So we visited at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. It was so busy that we left. We were both hungry, and the place was completely full. We were hoping for a seat to wait. I saw a few people with takeout containers. Maybe this was a sign. I was really hoping for a restaurant feel and it was more of a bar ambiance with so many people packed in, waiting that we left. I was thinking today to go somewhere new for dinner that I haven't been for a while and I don't know why I haven't been here. I'm scratching my head. It's as good as I remember it, the food is absolutely delicious. I would also say the service is top-notch. My favorite thing was seeing how fast they cleaned the table after guests got up and left. Those girls work so hard and they deserve the wages that they get, I hope it's not minimum wage... Lol. I had the corn beef sandwich and it was cooked properly. My wife had some chicken wings and I was lucky enough to be able to eat one of her wings today. I would order both the corn beef and the wings again. We did start off with soup and holy smokes. We went there today for lunch. Had to wait by front door for table. It was chilly there but thought it was due to door opening & closing. Get seated , took off coats & discovered it was freezing. This sandwich was a solid alternative to the Reuben. Sweet, salty, savory. Very generous with the meat portion as well. By buddy got the garlic Parmesan wings and they looked, smelled and tasted delicious. Very-much a recommend there! Finally, their fries, a very traditional approach to French fries. First off, their menu is humongous, so trust me when I say they have something for everyone! It's gone...totally. Perfectly spiced meat, double fried? Fries. Great pickles. I felt like I was in a NY deli. My dining companion had the Big Al, a turkey salad that made her drool. The service is incredible, staff is friendly and very quick. The kitchen also does a great job getting the food out in a solid timeframe. My one gripe is the menu is far too large, it makes picking the correct item very difficult. I tried the fish and chips, I was disappointed. Just order a burger or sandwich, don't veer too far off the menu. I leave 4 stars despite having a bad meal because I know almost any other menu item would have been a better choice.
