Very nice restaurant between Kent and Streetsboro. I wish I had taken a picture of the food and not the outside bar view. Anyway: We ordered up a Carmenere and a Pinot Noir to start, tasty glasses of wine, and enjoyed the view. Dinner was the Shrimp Scampi and Linguine and a Salmon spiced just right with broccoli. Great meals. Washed those down with Sangiovese and a Cabernet Sauvignon. Polished off with a flourless chocolate cake. Pretty good, and kinda like a lighter fudge cake. Total prior to tip $107. FOOD: I always order perch when it's on the menu. And so, I ordered Crispy Lake Perch ($25). Perch was fried and seasoned to perfection. One of the best and most plentiful perch dishes that I've tasted. AMBIANCE: Casual restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed my meal on the patio on the perfect summer day. Lake views are gorgeous. You're able to walk right up to the lake and take photos. I really wish one could swim in the lake. SERVICE: Service was very attentive and pleasant. The drinks were good. The clam chowder shouldn't be called a soup. Maybe 1 oz of broth in a bowl. The rest was mainly potatoes. The chicken sandwich and fries were not hot, as one would expect. Service was very good with periodic checkins despite a packed house. The server knew the menu, tap list and specials off the top of their head. Always nice. The table shared appetizers: corn fritters and hush puppies. Both were tasty and piping hot. I had a burger for dinner, cooked as ordered to medium-rare. My gf had the maple chicken and loved it. The view is spectacular at this chill lakeside restaurant. It was a bit hot, and I was solo, so I sat at the bar which overlooks the lake. I was acknowledged immediately and served shortly thereafter. The bartender was kind and offered great suggestions. I ordered the clam chowder. Believe me, this did not disappoint! It was filled with delicious clams and chunky vegetables. Excellent. I also ordered the walleye bites, thinking that would be a nice small dinner. Let me start off by saying that I was so excited after looking at the menu online. So we went for brunch today, we were so hungry. So we started with the buffalo chicken dip and the shrimp cocktail. Both were good. Then my husband and son got soup of the day which was broccoli cheddar. Bad is an understatement they both took one bite and did not want anymore. Then the kids burger we had to send back I said I would pay for it but it was a quarter of the size of the bun and slice of cheese so I ordered an adult burger. Snagged a same day res, when we arrived we did wait 15 mins for our table, which had been open the whole time. I would have preferred to be seated with an explanation if the staff was loaded up and running behind It was mid 70's beautiful night but their patio had not opened for the season yet. We sat inside. The air condition was either broken or off and it was uncomfortably warm. The ambiance is clean, cozy. But the layout is backwards. The bar is centered so there are a few tables at the great big windows with a view of the lake. The booths at the back are dark and lacking access to the view I noticed the patio is set the same way. The bar is closest to the lake and dining behind that. Maybe to try to have folks sitting at bar facing the lake, but it limits access and view for majority Service was friendly, and concise. Not overly warm or bubbly but effective The menu is super. We enjoyed a great bar list and had trouble choosing from cocktail list. Yum!! Dinner menu offered fish, steak, pasta, and on target pricing . And classics to unique on the apps. We enjoyed the walleye bites! Fish and chips, salmon, cod, perch were all the front runners. I also had their homemade chips that were cold and the dipping sauce was not all that good . We had fried cauliflower it was ok and crab fritters that were ok. We had flat bread pizza that didn't even look pleasant and fried chicken with smashed red skin potatoes with vegetable were ok , also fish and chips and the chips were frozen fries . What a cute restaurant right in the lake! It has a beautiful view of you're in the lake side of the restaurant. The food is good, nothing to write home about, but the servers are nice. The side on the lake has a nice atmosphere. The other side also looked nice but a little more casual like a gastropub. The place is not big, but it also has outdoor seating. When the weather is nice. We came here around 6pm on a Saturday, reservation in hand for the patio. I don't think we needed the reservation, but who knew. I've been wanting to try this place ever since I heard about it a year ago. It's a neat looking building with a decent view of the water from the patio. It was almost 90 outside and not a lot of air circulating. The patio is not very large, so the reservation might be the ticket if you want to be out there. The place was moderately busy, not too bad. Our server was friendly and efficient, which is all I ask. That and keep the refills coming without me asking. The food was really good, but my main complaint is I just felt it was slightly overpriced for what we ate. Two piece of fish and some fries, a dollop of cole slaw and a few hush puppies,,, $22? Idk, I guess that's what most of these places are charging these days. I'd eat here again, but I don't generally frequent this area. Check it out if you're nearby. read more
