    Crispy Lake Perch
    Olga N.

The Lake House Kitchen + Bar is lakeside restaurant with a gorgeous view of east Twin Lake. I drove by many times until finally stopping in. I was pleasantly surprised with my entire experience. FOOD: I always order perch when it's on the menu. And so, I ordered Crispy Lake Perch ($25). Perch was fried and seasoned to perfection. One of the best and most plentiful perch dishes that I've tasted. AMBIANCE: Casual restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed my meal on the patio on the perfect summer day. Lake views are gorgeous. You're able to walk right up to the lake and take photos. I really wish one could swim in the lake. SERVICE: Service was very attentive and pleasant. I really enjoyed that my meal was delivered to my table at lightning speed. PARKING: Gravel lot parking I look forward to returning. Next time I'm thinking of enjoying brunch and a book. The views are gorgeous, be sure to visit!

Dined inside on a busy Saturday night in August. Luckily we were able to call in a somewhat last minute reservation and get a table. Despite the crowd and the fact that a very large table was sat in our section at the same time, or waitress did a pretty good job of making sure we were attended too. Food was seasonal and delicious! I'm excited to go back and try other dishes.

The ambiance was nice with a gorgeous view to the lake. The service was timely and friendly. We ordered clam chowder and fish and chips. They were very tasty. The manu was too short. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

We had a great time with two other couples at this restaurant. The six of us sat on their patio overlooking the lake on a perfect late summer night. Service was very good with periodic checkins despite a packed house. The server knew the menu, tap list and specials off the top of their head. Always nice. The table shared appetizers: corn fritters and hush puppies. Both were tasty and piping hot. I had a burger for dinner, cooked as ordered to medium-rare. My gf had the maple chicken and loved it. Some folks had dessert that looked good (flourless chocolate cake and raspberry cheesecake). Tap list was good and full bar for cocktails. Great atmosphere, good service and delicious food. We'll be back.

I had fish and chips with coleslaw some hush puppies a Caesar salad two beers over less than $45. I can't believe it. The food was incredibly delicious. Servers were very nice and atmosphere will obviously see for yourself. I highly recommend this place.

Wait staff was very attentive, and the food was so good. My husband had the Fish and Chips, and I had the Sausage and Perogies. I'm always looking for something different on the menu, and you don't find Perogies everywhere, it was so good served with sour cream and carmalized onions. We weren't able to sit on the patio yet because it wasn't open, but we can't wait to go back and sit outside to enjoy the view of the lake. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a casual dinner place that has great food and a view.

The view is spectacular at this chill lakeside restaurant. It was a bit hot, and I was solo, so I sat at the bar which overlooks the lake. I was acknowledged immediately and served shortly thereafter. The bartender was kind and offered great suggestions. I ordered the clam chowder. Believe me, this did not disappoint! It was filled with delicious clams and chunky vegetables. Excellent. I also ordered the walleye bites, thinking that would be a nice small dinner. Unfortunately, these were flavorless, and the beet yogurt was too lemony and didn't really compliment the fish. No worries, though. The bartender was on it and quickly placed another order for me. The cornmeal-breaded perch was my choice. The perch: good, a bit overcooked, nicely seasoned The potatoes: potatoes The veggies: OMG. PERFECTLY DONE! The star of the plate if you ask me. I enjoyed my time here and will visit again.

Let me start off by saying that I was so excited after looking at the menu online. So we went for brunch today, we were so hungry. So we started with the buffalo chicken dip and the shrimp cocktail. Both were good. Then my husband and son got soup of the day which was broccoli cheddar. Bad is an understatement they both took one bite and did not want anymore. Then the kids burger we had to send back I said I would pay for it but it was a quarter of the size of the bun and slice of cheese so I ordered an adult burger. The potatoes with my BELT were soggy and gross. I don't know the whole meal was a let down.

Great ambiance and there's a view of the Lake-even from the bar. Great casual service and the food is great- everything we've had is that rare kind of food that tastes even better than it sounds. Don't miss the drink menu-or the Blood and Sand! New owners have made a big impression, glad to see the place jumping again.

Super great location with kind staff and good drinks. Enjoyed the outdoor space with friends and some average food. You can tell they are aiming a bit higher and sometimes delivered and others missing a bit. Loaded chips were very good, little bit of a gap on the perch which is a miss being by a lake. Still a good place for socializing and will be back.

Easily equal to Chagrin Falls, Chardon Square or any other in northeast Ohio. We arrived and parked along the main street, strolled down the block to the front door. Upon entering you desend the stairway to your left. At the bottom you pass through a glass door into a very nicely appointed dining room (see attached picture). This is a "below the sidewalk" establishment and gives off a smokey, speakeasy type vibe... very classy. As you enter you will discover the hostess is at the far end of the room where the entrance from the rear parking lot is. Evidently that is where the majority of customers enter. I prefer the front... no matter. She saw us right away and immediately walked over and greeted our party. We were quickly seated at our table for the evening. A nice gentleman introduced himself as Christian, our server for the evening. He was quick with a smile and full of knowledge and energy. We placed our drink order and began to peruse the menu. The regular and evening specials menus are more than satisfactory to make any pallet happy. We began with "Deviled Eggs" topped with Caviar, need I say, they were marvelous. Also, the "Oysters Rockefeller" were excellent. The choice of entree's are very nice. My wife chose "Chilean Seabass" Spice Rubbed Carrot/Ginger Puree Haricot Verts Almond/Yuzu Chimichurri. I went with my absolute favorite, "Lamb Chops" Herb Crusted Dijon Crispy Gnocchi Green Peppercorn Jus. So did my brother. And his wife ordered the "Sea Scallops" Roasted Beets Humboldt Fog Pistachios Orange/Saffron Butter. Everything was exceptional as always. KUDOS to the entire kitchen staff. We followed dinner with a fine cup of coffee and shared a couple orders of "Whipped Chocolate Mousse" infused with chopped hazelnuts... fabulous. So, as I have said before, if you enjoy "Fine Dining" that is consistently excellent; make the trip to Hudson, Ohio and visit "Downtown 140". You'll be glad you did.

I'll commend them on the meatball sub. They avoided the critical mistake of putting too much bread into the equation and losing the flavor. This was a very meatball-forward experience with a beef and pork blended meatball, seasoned with Italian spices. Highly recommend! Service was unreal. Career first where I couldn't keep up with drink refills. They had a new lemonade on the table after a couple sips each time.

They use this location to butcher the meat, and then sell it through the restaurant. To buy cuts of beef to go, you need to go to their Akron store (which I will go out of my way to find soon). Big display case where they have sides of beef hanging, coolest thing I've ever seen! Well almost....the coolest thing I've ever seen is the wall of bourbon behind the bar. I like bourbon, and I've NEVER seen a collection this vast. Good thing I live on the other side of town, or I would go broke coming into this place daily! Learned they make road trips to KY for taste tests. Most recently, they went to Buffalo Trace and sampled several different barrels of Blanton's Gold. Found one they liked and had the whole barrel bottled up for their exclusive sale. At $11/ounce, that's a great deal! They also have a nice retail selection of wines, priced at reasonable prices. There is a day each week when they sell them to the restaurant patrons at retail price which is a bargain considering most places mark them up 2-3x. For lunch I had a blackened chicken salad of some sort. The chicken was a nice amount and was simply delicious! Need to come back again when I'm not cutting calories for the beef!
