Bes Horchata I've ever had
Reese J.

El Fortin screams AUTHENTIC!!!! I had been craving mole for a very very very long time. And I am so glad that I got to visit El Fortin because their mole completely hit the spot!!! The flavors were completely authentic which is so rare and hard to find! I never had Clayuda and soooo glad we ordered it because it was so amazing! Completely fell in love with the cheese, quesillo, tasajo, cecina, chorizo, avocado combo! Our drinks, horchata and tamarindo, were like no other! There's pieces of fruit topping in the horchata which made it special and unique. I also got to taste the prickly pear ice cream - sooo good! Customer service was attentive, food came out in good timing. Love the authentic ambiance, completely comfy and casual! The restaurant is located in a plaza with other businesses so parking isn't an issue. There are no restrooms located inside but is available outside.

Food was good. Felt like my mom made my dinner. The mole is amazing. Just yelp it. First time here. Coming back for sure.

Mole enchiladas

We came with my wife's parents (full Mexicans) and they really like it. My wife and her mom got the massive Clayuda. I guess you don't really this in most Mexicans restaurants as this is Oaxacan food. Her dad and I got enchiladas. IMO they were decent. (I got the mole ones). I've had better in Tijuana but that's a high standard to beat. The agua frescas and horchata are not that sweet if you like them sweet. Pros - the clayuda is massive. My enchilada plate was decent sized. - Price is reasonable - Friendly staff - nice decor - they have ice cream inside too (I didn't try it but my suegra said they have a burnt vanilla one or something like that which is really good Cons - a little tight inside Overall 7.5/10

Enfrijoladas and enchilada with mole negro.

I was so pleased to find a Oaxacan specific Mexican restaurant, I just had to come try it. I love Oaxacan food and I was not disappointed eating here. I had the enfrijoladas with quesillo and chorizo. I will be dreaming of that dish for months. Everything about it was right. Especially the chorizo. I mean the beans were tasty, everything was seasoned right, high quality, delicious. But man, the chorizo. I've never had such good chroizo. I'm gonna have to come back just to try the chorizo in more dishes. I also got a black mole enchilada and it was delicious. Couldn't have really hoped for much better. The salsa is very hot, but in a different way from most. Made from chile de arbol, the salsa has a very distinct and tasty flavor. The server was friendly and helpful, but they did get a little busy by the time I was finishing my meal. That said, I'll be glad to eat here again.

Waitresses are judgemental and rude. Food is mediocre. There was a tortilla charge! We will not return. I don't recommend it at all.

Is it normal to turn down customers at 9pm when the restaurant closes at 10?

Not to burst your bubble but a lot of restaurants close their kitchens an hour or so before. It's happened to me even big chain places I've been they told me they're not seating people down anymore only orders to go. It happens 🤷🏽‍♀️

Revolucion Cantina & Mezcaleria has a revolutionary taco Tuesday…read more... It's not a big restaurant but they spaced it out great and have a great bar, western, Hispanic vibe to the whole place. I loved the artwork and photos with frames. The service was great, between the bartenders, check in and our host we were always tended to and asked how we are enjoying our experience. Now.. when I heard taco buffet... I'll admit I was skeptical. So when my buddie suggested this for our foodie group I figured give it a shot. I'll start by saying ... I'd go every Tuesday lol it was a simple buffet they had every meat you needed, the carne asada was good, the chicken was good, the barbacoa was friggin delicious my favorite was the Al pastor. And the mushrooms ... usually at buffets have dry or oily food and this was pretty damn good to be honest. I think it's a solid business plan to do taco Tuesday like this. On top of all that the mini churros were good, the salsas were delicious. The chips were alright I think that's the only thing that was ok for me but overall I enjoyed myself very much. ALSO!!! The mango margarita!!! PERFECTION!!!!!

OC's Best AYCE Taco Tuesday?!…read more All day Tuesday from 11 am to 10 pm, Revolucion Cantina in downtown Fullerton, CA, is the place to be! It's a taco lover's paradise where you can build your dream tacos--or even nachos with crispy chicharrones. It's wild, and guess what I made? Chicharrón nachos! My no-carb-loving husband was ultra jealous. The options at this taco Tuesday bar are seriously impressive--at least six different proteins, nacho cheese, pozole, all kinds of salsas and toppings, plus four flavors of agua fresca to try. And to top it all off, you can end your meal with crispy, sweet churros! This spot is definitely worth checking out, especially on Tuesdays. Come out and have some fun!

We parked across the street near an intersection with a stop sign. Our table inside had a nice view of the Placentia Water Tower, and it felt somehow relaxing to gaze at it in the distance. I ordered the pork carnitas ($18), which included pico de gallo, rice, refried beans with melted cheese, and three warm tortillas. The portion size was large, and I took a some carnitas home. While the carnitas were tender, they weren't as juicy as I hoped. They provided only three tortillas that lost their warmth quickly in parchment paper. The rice had a good texture that had the right amount of firmness. I also tried the guacamole, which had a somewhat fluffy texture with a pleasantly light and savory flavor. While not affecting my review of this restaurant, I wish they served a mole dish.
