Wow, what great tacos they serve here! Always drive by this place after church and see a lot of folks going in. Been wanting to give it a try and finally pulled the trigger! Small entry/order area for the unending crowd trying to get some food here. Menu's on display screens above the order counter, have plenty of time to stare before it's your turn to order. Noticed birria said goat meat! That's pure OG vs. typical beef birria. First time, so wasn't sure how food would be or what it even looks like so went conservative with 1 quesabirria 1 large taco birria 2 tacos asada 3 tacos pastor Wife grabbed some onions and salsa at the salsa bar while I ordered. Was kinda hectic inside the restaurant, so took the food back to the car to try. Smaller tacos on the asada and pastor, but the large birria and quesabirria were the large sizes. Wife dug into her pastor and loved it. Kid wasn't hungry, so plan was to get him 1 quesabirria to try while I would eat the asada and the large birria. Well, the kid loved the goat birria! I devoured my asada quickly since I felt kid would eat both of the birria, and was able to salvage half of the quesabirria to try. YUM!!! That's some awesome goat birria!!! We all wanted more, but had to be somewhere so sadly left the first visit at that. I think I've got the sizes figured out now for next time! I will probably need about 5~6 of the smaller tacos or maybe 2~3 of the large birria tacos. The birria was so good we are definitely getting several of those next time! I wondered what the ! mark on the menu picture I took, so translated something about the birria. I guess there can be bones in the birria, so watch out. The 1/2 I ate was nothing but pure goodness, but kid did mention he had to spit out some bone. So I guess you do need to watch out for bones in the birria. That will be hard to follow next time, since that birria flavor just calls you to go 100% devour mode! Will see, but I am already thinking when is the next time we drop by here again, lol! Love finding great food close to home, to be able to enjoy without longing for some food had on a trip that you can't get. Tacos Puro Jalisco is definitely my new fav taco place, drool...

    Pastor tacos were legit

Likely the very best chain taqueria in socal, it's a big statement but I've eaten at it's sister store in IE, where there was a line out the door by 6pm on Sunday, and the tacos were legit. Al pastor and the organ meets are a must, all nicely charred w it's fatty goodness soaked up by excellent corn tortillas complimented by the acidity and tart of the fresh condiment bar. Excellent Mexican street food 5 stars.

Unfortunately, I don't live close enough to come here more often, but if I did I would for sure. Been years but the birria de chivo was as amazing as I remember it. I also tried the menudo this time because of the Insta hype and that did not disappoint either. Super clean broth with lots of tripe and pata. No hominy which is the way I prefer it. Also tried the queso birria, buche, tripa and al pastor tacos which were all pretty good, but queso birria really stood out. Huge and packed with meat. Salsa bar and salsa macha for the birria and menudo rounds out a great experience. Please open on in SGV soon!

The appetite unhinges with the jaw at Tacos Puro Jalisco. If anyone is not sure how to enjoy the food here, the looping video footage on the menu features a woman absolutely deep cheeking a double cocada. The close up nature of the video is gratuitous & hilarious. No one looks good or normal with a camera zoomed in *thisclose* on their face whilst trying to fit their mouth around a coconut dessert. Someone on staff thought immersing customers' retinas with endless chowdown unto gagging imagery was the way to go. I want to talk about how notable the food is here, & it does exhaust superlatives. However, my mind is haunted by the gaping mouth of the woman trying to fit a whole cocada into her face. Most video menus feature food; the TPJ menu features the act of devouring. I did end up internalizing the screen visual because I inhaled my chicken quesadilla, & the carne asada burrito my HaloAngelCakes GF shared with me had me fighting back tears of deepest glee. 5 stars for showing other taco places how it's done, & showing all customers how to choke down a cocada.

    Bones in birria tacos

Ordered birria tacos and three bowls of consome for the Mexico vs England game. I went home and realized they didn't give any consome. I called, they went silent and hung up on me. Called again and they just left the phone hanging without speaking?? As we're eating the tacos the bones in the tacos are so large I could break a tooth or choke. I've never had birria tacos where I've had to watch every bite I take for a bone. I don't write many reviews but this establishment is just ridiculous for all the good reviews.

Tacos Asada, Pollo, Pastor, refried beans and Jamaica , simple meal with your choice of salsas. Quick and tasty. Hearing the meat specialist chopping it all up fresh adds to the feel of the meal. Only thing missing is corn chips!

My go-to tacos here are the pollo chicken tacos! The service is quick and easy, just order at the counter and they'll call your number when your food is ready, whether you're dining in or taking it to go. They have a stand full of onions, pickled red onions, radish, and salsas. My favorite salsa is their green and orange it's so yummy. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of seating inside and an outdoor area as well. They also have a restroom available for customers, which is a nice bonus.

Hands down the best burrito we've ever had ! Carne asada supreme burrito add sour cream. Thank me later! They got a self serve salsa & toppings bar so that's a plus ! Very aesthetically pleasing as well, nice decor ! All in all we're definitely coming back for that burrito ! Menudo & birria are good as well but that burrito sealed the deal for us ‼

Sharp shark like tooth bones in their meat

I use to love this place and have been coming here since they first opened but I think this will be my last time spending my money here due to the fact that their taqueros don't care about their craft. I ordered for the time some quesabrilla and had some sharp small bones that could of killed me if swallowed. I showed the taquero the bones and his response was, that's how they come and gave me a smirk of hate for informing them of the bones in their item. The guys name was Ignacio and this isn't the first time I had issues with him. Last week I asked for a to go bag and he shunned me and finally tossed the bag over his counter at my direction, I had it with this guy! Stay away from the quesabrilla, it'll kill you if they continue to serve it with sharp shark like tooth bones.

This is the best place I went too the Habanero sauce was so good and spicy. This is the only salsa that I can eat is habanero. The owner is nice the staff is nice they was so kind to me this place 10/10 thank you

    Quesabirria taco just okay
    Bridgette Q.

This spot has very little parking. It's mixed with the laundry mat and a liquor store that wasn't the issue. I'm always used to a little mom and Pop situation, but this food came out quickly, which was nice the Birria Caldo lack so much flavor. It was not even hot when it came out. It's a soup. It came out warm the tacos we ordered queso Birria tacos, tacos, Pastor tacos, chicken, and Tripas. This was in my experience, but my brother and his girlfriend was with us. He had a plastic bad corner in his tacos very gross very unhygienic very not cool.

I have to say that we had a wonderful time eating some scrumptious food! Everything was prepared to our satisfaction and tasted absolutely delicious! My daughter (my Princess) had Birria Al Vapor which were seasoned perfectly. She really loved her dish! My wife (my Queen) had fluffy Waffles with tasty scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. She was totally satisfied as well! I had the combination Flajitas Flat Iron with tender chicken breast meat, juicy sautéed shrimp, and moth watering steak. My meal was Bomb!! Both the Flajitas and the Birria Al Vapor came with rice and beans as well and were quite filling! Lagos gets an A+ for the food for sure!! We were fortunate enough to have Rene Gonzalez as our waiter and he took excellent care of us. He was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He took his job seriously and seemed to enjoy every minute of what he was doing. He kept our drinks refilled and ensured that we had everything that we needed and wanted to enjoy our meal at this establishment! Shout out to you Rene, as well as all of the other waiters and waitresses who worked and also stopped by our table during our meal to see if we needed anything . It was awesome to see everyone working together and getting along so well! I can see how this place can be so popular because of staff like these guys!! Thanks to you all for handling such a busy day with professionalism, grace and warm smiles while doing so! This is truly commendable! We will definitely be back! As far as the ambiance is concerned, Lagos is a stunningly beautiful building on the inside and outside! It has beautiful arches and high ceilings which are adorned with authentic sculptures and pristine lighting. There is ample seating in various sections of the expansive restaurant, with comfortable seating both inside and outside! The atmosphere is warm and comforting, and all patrons seemed to enjoy their stay while eating and fellowshipping together! This was totally Awesome!! We had a swell time and would like to highly recommend Lagos in Fullerton to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, in a professional, friendly and absolutely beautiful restaurant!! It's not a big restaurant but they spaced it out great and have a great bar, western, Hispanic vibe to the whole place. I loved the artwork and photos with frames. I'll admit I was skeptical. So when my buddie suggested this for our foodie group I figured give it a shot. I'll start by saying ... I'd go every Tuesday lol it was a simple buffet they had every meat you needed, the carne asada was good, the chicken was good, the barbacoa was friggin delicious my favorite was the Al pastor. And the mushrooms ... usually at buffets have dry or oily food and this was pretty damn good to be honest. I think it's a solid business plan to do taco Tuesday like this. On top of all that the mini churros were good, the salsas were delicious. The chips were alright I think that's the only thing that was ok for me but overall I enjoyed myself very much. ALSO!!! And to top it all off, you can end your meal with crispy, sweet churros! This spot is definitely worth checking out, especially on Tuesdays. Come out and have some fun!
